I called the office twice to see if I could get some help in getting this done. The second time I called, I was told to leave a voicemail for Levi who would call me back. I never heard from Levi, who is supposedly the manager. Instead, I got a text from Brandon who had gone radio silent for weeks. He stated they could come and do the job. Because of the poor communication and lack of professionalism and feeling like my business mattered, I hired the job out with someone else. Imagine my surprise, when I reached out to a different company, and they actually bid the job, communicated and showed up to do it! I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and caring that my business was treated with specifically by Brandon and Levi at DeCook Excavating. If you want a job done and done well I suggest you keep looking beyond DeCook.

The response was that they wouldn't be able to send anyone over that day, but would the following week. That was in April, it is now approaching the third week of May. We had some friends over and I mentioned Decook. He immediately said, "Oh they won't call you back. I've been waiting for three years." How could I possibly write a positive review with such poor customer service? Then and I find out I'm not the only one? If there was really any intention to do the job you would think you would get a call back. That wasn't even done! At least twice! I'd understand if I had been told they were booked etc., but to lead someone on by saying we'll send someone out and then don't is basically just lying. I wouldn't be writing this review if someone had lifted a finger to stop out or to simply call and say they won't be able to help. I would like to have reviewed a project, but obviously that's not possible.

The slope that they created is perfect and they even re-used some of my healthy grass instead of replacing it with new sod. I had an area around a tree that I was going to work on myself yet when I returned home Dirk and his men had created a beautiful space that exceeded my expectations.
