I would rather not divulge into too much detail, but I've never been to an appointment where the receptionist told I had to reschedule. Did she not expect me to be disappointed after I went through all the trouble of waiting two weeks for an appointment and having to find coverage for work? I was also very confused about what she was telling me. I was supposed to be seen for a disorder that effects my cognitive ability.. She became very rude when I was trying to ask her how to fix the problem with my medical record. After all the other unmentioned hoops she had made me jump through, I told her to just forget about it and began to walk out. "Have a nice day!" She called out in an extremely condescending voice. The whole conversation was in earshot of the waiting room too. I've never felt so ashamed and embarrassed. Especially at a doctor's office!

This due to billing, the outsourcing of the call center, and not being able to speak to someone in the office. Talking to an actual billing person is near impossible. Every time I am in the office there is always a new charge for something. I have also found in my EOB's that there are charges that aren't even covered with my insurance or the services have been entered incorrectly. Unfortunately, I will have to leave because of this issue. My medical is expensive enough, I don't need the headache of trying to figure out their mess every time I have an appointment.

Dr. Malek's office, which employs offshore staff, lacks nurses and medical assistants, focusing instead on collecting payments. Medicare has been double-billed, and I was pressured to pay $25 to leave after questioning my bill. Dr. Malek called me, leaving a voicemail about a $25 monthly payment plan, and later dismissed me via Facebook Messenger, demanding $275 I don't owe. This platform is unsecured for health information, and his actions constitute patient abandonment. Dr. Malek has threatened legal action and verbally abused me over unpaid bills. I have evidence to support my claims and have reported the issue to Medicare, the Attorney General's office, and the licensing office. I've retained an attorney and plan to share evidence with them. I could never get a word in because she never stopped talking, never listened to me, and if i tried…read moreever to say anything she'd just start blabbering on top of me as a way to prevent me from talking. When i finally called her on this obtrusive behavior, she dropped me and blacklisted me as "non-compliant." Because of this one word being in my record, i could not get any doctor in town to take me on and as a result could get none of my medication refilled. I am a severe asthmatic on twelve medications and was hospitalized three times over two years before finally getting a physician. I believe that because of that one impetuous word, she knew full well that she was sentencing me to death because i dared to defy her. I barely survived and i feel that she abused her power in a reckless and vindictive manner.
