The good: front host Brandon was awesome and the space of the room with a decent view. The bad: the bathroom fan was annoyingly loud, and I felt like the bed was pretty stiff with no give. Which in turned means I didn't sleep well. I think if the fan wasn't that loud and the was a little more comfortable it would be 5 stars. We ended using the cruise shuttle service that they recommend. The price is $17 per person.

Clean hotel and close to airport We booked this hotel since it had a shuttle service from the airport and wasn't far from the cruise port. The shuttle did take a long time to pick us up from the airport but check in was easy. They have water in the lobby and our room was clean and spacious. There is a restaurant on site that we ate lunch and dinner at. The staff wasn't very friendly but the food was good and prices reasonable for the area. We didn't get to use the pool since it was outdoor and not hot enough in the morning. They had a great little courtyard area to walk around or sit. The exercise room was awesome with a huge abundance of space and different machines. A highlight of the hotel.

IHG app advising the pickup location for the hotel shuttle on level 2.

Shuttle Service from Airport: Flew in from out of state and arrived at the Miami airport and grabbed our bags from the carousel by 9:10 PM. We planned to take the hotel shuttle as it ran every 30 minutes - the next being at 9:30 PM. On the IHG app for this hotel, the pickup location at the airport was on level 2. We stood there and waited until 930 (when the shuttle should've been there). We were approached by airport security that the hotel shuttles were on level 1, not 2. By the time we got down to level 1 we had missed the shuttle and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for the next shuttle. We ended up getting an uber. The map they have for the shuttles is less than desirable. The zone numbers do not correspond to the departure doors. The only way we figured out where to go was doing a street view as there is NO information about which doors to use. Restaurant: We dined here twice during our 1 night stay. The first being when we checked in around 10 PM. The wait staff saw us come in and sit down, but didn't say anything or approach us for about 5 minutes. There were 3 other people (aside from the bar) that already had their food. The two staff members just stood there talking and when we were able to make direct eye contact, one of them asked if we had ordered, then brought a menu over. We ordered the pepperoni pizza to go. The pizza itself reminded me of pizza you would get at a school - wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. The next morning we went to breakfast. The wait staff saw us and brought menus over. We didn't have any issues with service, however, there were a couple tables that didn't quite get that same service - wait staff didn't acknowledge the guy sitting at the table next to us for almost 10 minutes. We would rate the meal about a 6/10. We had the vegetable omelet and Belgian waffle. Room: This was our second time staying here. The first time we didn't notice the noise as much as this stay. By noise I mean the airport and the train horns. Obviously we knew we booked by the airport so that didn't bother us as much as the train horns that kept us up. Our room was on the backside of the building looking over the canal to Palmer lake. The room itself was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfy. The shower temp was lukewarm and did not have very good water pressure.

We chose to stay here prior to/post our cruise trip. We booked via Expedia due to the decent rate. We were told by the staff at the hotel, the rates for the nights we stayed were cheaper if we had just called the hotel to book. This was nice to know for future visits. The staff were decent and helpful when needed. The exterior of the property was clean and the downstairs lobby/gym/bathrooms were clean and smelled good. The rooms were another story. The rooms felt muggy, smelled like mildew, and had water damage/mold spots on ceiling and wall. We stayed on two different nights. All rooms had resistant bands and yoga blocks for exercising. The first room had a yoga mat. The first room was a little better than the second room. The first room (642) had a microwave, alarm clock, not as much water damage, and the light in the entry way flickered when on. The second room (346) had the most damage from other guests, water, and the wall light by the workout equipment flickered when on. The other issue was the shuttle pickup when arriving to Miami. There is not a designated hotel pickup spot once you exit the departure doors near security. The shuttle runs at the top of the hour and half the hour. When you see the shuttle, you have to step out into oncoming traffic to flag it down and hope the driver sees you. (The hotel has a different company provide port shuttle transport for $15 per person.) The hotel is not located around fast food restaurants, restaurants, gas stations, pharmacies or shopping centers. You can only access food/entertainment by renting a car prior to your stay, taking an Uber, or Doordashing/Uber eats food. DoorDash delivery times were 20-45 minute wait times. The hotel food is okay and over priced. The food gave reheated frozen food not fresh. We ordered chicken tenders w/ fries and pepperoni pizza. The waitress we had was very sweet and happy. The snacks/drinks in the lobby are expensive. Breakfast is a la carte and just as pricey. The hotel has a water/ice machine on every floor. The ice is the pebbled ice, which was the best part of the stay. I wouldn't stay here again if I had a choice between oth. hotels due to location, food, and room conditions. If you're not picky and for a one night stay, I'd recommend this hotel.

I missed my flight so the airline had to put me up at a hotel and this is the hotel they put me in. They have shuttle service between the hotel and the airport. The front lobby is very nice & bright. They have a snack area where you can purchase snacks. Check-in was pretty easy. The airlines gave me a voucher to get some food from the dining area. I picked the fish-and-chips. The fish was under fried and it was flavorless. Room: I clean my room when I get into it at any hotel because most aren't cleaned properly. This room failed. This is why I clean myself. The bathroom was small. They had a little workout corner which I thought was nice. It's different, I've never seen that in any hotel I've stayed in.

I forgot to take full photos of the room. Aside of the basic workout equipment inside which was cool evening was a bit run down in the room itself. I chose this hotel For airport convenience, but their shuttle didn't run as often as they advertised and the website they tell you to use to track it did not work. Also in the room we saw two different roaches which was not nice to see especially on the 4th floor. The staff didn't appear very happy to be there and overall just didn't give the same impression the website did. They did have fresh water (ginger and mint) every day downstairs, but I wouldn't book again

What a Amazing and Comfortable hotel property, simply cozy and Welcoming, the young lady whom checked us in last night(10/25) around 8 pm was very thorough and courteous, we were sent over from the airport by American airlines with a hotel voucher. We were shocked that American airlines sent us to such a nice place. If we're in the area again, yes will return. When we checked out this morning around 5am(10/26), the front desk was on the phone, we were standing in front of her to ask about the airport shuttle, she didn't acknowledge us or even stop talking to a reservation question issue on the phone, to us that was Totally Rude and Unprofessional, she could have simply asked her call to hold, we stood in front of her for at least 10 minutes. I worked at Springhill suites years ago and we are taught to greet ur guests soon as they cross ur desk area, if on the phone, place call on hold to answer questions. No matter Even hotel is Really a Great Experience, Excellent.... We think $5.00 for a small bottle of water is a bit much we think.

Came to the hotel due to an overnight layover. It is so close to the airport so I thought it would be a good choice. We were not disappointed! The room had a surprise work out section which was amazing. There was also a full fitness center downstairs. We didn't get to experience a lot of the things they had to offer but will definitely stay here again in the future. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive. We did eat a snack at the restaurant. I got wings and bae got the chicken tenders. They were both flavorful and good.

This hotel is nice considering where it is located. It is good because it is next to the airport and clean. The staff was friendly and very pleasant. Also if you have well behavioral pets your able to bring them. That's a plus especially of you need to travel with them. As for the dining it was good my fries wasn't oily and my impossible burger was delicious. My husband had the chicken quesadilla which he said he liked and the sweet potato fries were good. The do have the option to purchase beer and liquor which was nice as well. The pricing wasn't bad within the $12.00 to $25.00 range. They also serve breakfast didn't get a chance to try that. All together the atmosphere of the hotel very nice the decor modern and clean they also have a pool but it was raining didn't go to see how that was.

We arrived a day early for our cruise and chose to stay at the Comfort Suites Airport North because…read moreit offered a free shuttle service from the airport to the cruise port. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the breakfast was ok. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was fine once we were finally able to get in touch with the front desk to ask about its location. When we called, the woman at the front desk put us on hold for a long time. We eventually had to hang up and call again. It took multiple attempts before she finally answered and provided the pickup location. We were disappointed with the free shuttle service to the Miami cruise port. I called the night before our arrival to reserve a spot, but was told to book it at check-in. When we arrived at the hotel around 1:00 p.m., we were informed that the 11:00 a.m. shuttle was already full, so we were booked on the 12:30 p.m. shuttle instead. We were instructed to be in the lobby at least 15 minutes early. We arrived in the lobby around 12:00 p.m., where a crowd had already gathered. By 12:30 p.m., there was still no sign of the shuttle. Instead, a representative arrived to check guests in for the shuttle and began promoting transportation from the cruise port to the airport for $15 per person. When we said we weren't interested and asked about the shuttle, he simply replied that it was on its way. By 12:45 p.m., the shuttle still hadn't arrived. At that point, we decided to take an Uber to the port. When I tried to inform the representative that we were leaving, he ignored me and continued trying to sell tickets. Had we known the 12:30 p.m. shuttle wouldn't leave on time, we would have taken an Uber at 11:00 a.m. instead. When a hotel advertises a free shuttle service at a specific time, it should be reliable. Guests should not be pressured into purchasing additional services during that time. While the hotel itself is spacious and conveniently located near the airport, I would not recommend it to anyone relying on the free cruise port shuttle.

Upon arriving close to Miami the directions will drive you through junkyards, metal recycling yards and miles of industrial sites as you close in on the hotel. Not what I expected for a $300.- a room hotel. After arriving we were not impressed with the area we were staying the night before a Cruise. The description for the hotel said it was 15 minutes to the cruise port but the day of the cruise it took us over an hour to get to the ship with traffic even though it was less than 10 miles away. Look somewhere else than this hotel if taking a cruise or doing anything for that matter. Waking into the hotel it was crowed in the check-in area and it took longer than average to check-in even with the line counter girl helping us before a portion of the group ahead of us. We were given our room and brought up our luggage. The room appeared clean but it had the foul odor of cheap deoderizing covering that seemed to be covering up a bad existing oder. The place just smelled inexpensive. My family went to the buffet the next morning and brought me my breakfast back to the room. I agreed with their assessment that it was the worst free breakfast we had ever had during a hotel stay. They had Waffles but no toppings for it. The eggs tasted like cardboard and everything else was worse. Miami was and is always a great place but sadly every thing about this hotel is not even good. Go somewhere else.

Our family stayed at Embassy Suites Miami for one night before our cruise. There were definitely…read moresome positives, but unfortunately our overall experience was overshadowed by poor communication and customer service. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was spacious, clean, and exactly what we expected. Those aspects of our stay were excellent. Our first issue was with the airport shuttle. We were instructed to wait at Door 7 for pickup. The shuttle arrived once, but it was already full. The driver told us he would be back in about 30 minutes to pick us up. When he returned, however, the shuttle was full again. What no one explained was that the shuttle always picks up at Doors 1 and 4 before returning to Door 7. Had we been told that, we would have gone to Door 1 to ensure we got on the next shuttle. Instead, after waiting for over 30 minutes, it was nearly 11:00 p.m., and we were traveling with three exhausted children. We ended up paying for an Uber because we couldn't continue waiting. When we arrived at the hotel, I explained our frustration with the lack of communication about the shuttle. The front desk employee simply responded, "Well, it's a complimentary service." There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the confusion, and no indication that anyone cared enough to improve the process for future guests. Our second issue was even more frustrating. The air conditioner in our room wasn't working. Maintenance came to our room and confirmed it was broken. We were traveling with two adults and three children, yet the same front desk employee told me my only options were to stay in the hot room or move to a room with one king bed. When I explained that five people couldn't sleep in one king bed, she repeatedly said, "That's all I can offer you," with a very rude attitude. I felt as though I was being treated like the broken air conditioner was somehow my fault. There was never an apology or any concern for our situation. It wasn't until I became so overwhelmed that I broke down crying at the front desk that she finally offered us two king rooms. Even then, she acted angry the entire time. I could hear her around the corner telling another employee that I was "demanding" two rooms, when all I was asking for was enough beds for the five people included in my reservation. She acted as though providing a reasonable solution was a personal inconvenience. Our final disappointment involved the cruise transportation package we had prepaid. At check-in, the front desk employee said she couldn't find our reservation for the transportation and told us it would cost an additional $12 per person. Only after we showed her our confirmation email did she add us to what she called a "priority list" for the morning shuttle. The next morning, no one knew anything about a priority list, and everyone acted like it didn't exist. It felt misleading and completely disorganized. This hotel has a beautiful property and clean, comfortable rooms, but customer service and communication matter just as much. With better staff training and a greater focus on guest service, this could have been a great stay. Instead, it was a very frustrating way to begin our family vacation.

When the vehicle finally arrived, there were at least twice as many people waiting as there were seats. We barely managed to squeeze on, but half the group was left behind to wait another 45 minutes to an hour. Because the van filled up at the first stop, the driver completely skipped the second pickup location. The Departure (Dec 9) Our return to the airport was even worse. We were told the shuttle runs every hour and to be in the lobby by 7:30 for the 8:00 AM shuttle. At 7:45, I saw the shuttle drive by, so we moved to the parking lot pickup spot. Ten minutes later, the shuttle pulled partway into the driveway, backed out, and left without stopping to pick up guests. At 8:05, I went to the front desk. I stood silently at the end of the counter waiting for the agent, Tiffany, to finish assisting another guest. In the middle of helping him, she turned and demanded to know why I was "crowding" and "interrupting" her. I explained I was waiting for her to finish so I could ask about the shuttle. She dismissively claimed it was full from other hotels and had left, telling us to wait another 30 minutes. When I said this was unacceptable, she again accused me of interrupting. We were forced to call an Uber (~$50 cost) to make our flight. While we waited for the car, I heard Tiffany on the phone asking, "When are you going to get here? A customer seems upset"--proving the schedule was a mess and she knew it. The Rooms The room quality was poor on both legs of the trip. Stay 1: The plumbing was non-functional. There was virtually no water pressure, and the temperature never rose above tepid. It literally took five minutes just to rinse the shampoo out of my hair--and I have short hair. Stay 2: We were given a room with a broken TV and a bathroom door that wouldn't close. Maintenance couldn't fix the TV, and the front desk's only solution was to make us change rooms--after we had already unpacked. It didn't occur to anyone to simply move a working TV from another room until I explicitly told them to do so.

We didn't get to check out the pool, and there were a couple of service issues that keep this hotel with a lower rating. For starters, there was only one elevator, and it's a bit of a walk from the front desk. With its long corridors, speaking as a design professional, the exterior and corridor aesthetics give me hospital vibes. You also have to pay hourly for parking. We ordered food from the downstairs kitchen, and had to go pick it up because they don't have room service. I don't recall our cocktail being particularly strong either. What seals the low rating is that my friend thought she left her wallet when she got home. I called that afternoon and was told by the front desk that no one from housekeeping was available, no one would be able to go and look for it, or escort to go to the room and try to find it. Imagine even the airport and forgetting your travel documents when housekeeping had left! Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
