I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The hotel room was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the view of Biscayne Bay was perfect for a brief business trip.

A colleague and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights in July while traveling for business, and overall, we had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Zadi, who helped with our luggage and shared some great recommendations for nearby shops and restaurants to check out after our meetings. Zadi truly stood out--he was one of the most courteous and attentive bellhops I've encountered, and I travel frequently for work, often staying at Marriott properties across the country. His cheerful attitude didn't go unnoticed, and we saw him consistently treating all guests with the same level of hospitality. Jessica at the front desk was also fantastic--very patient and helpful as I took my time reviewing the room service menu. Speaking of which, the food was decent for a late-night order (after 10 PM), which was about what I expected. The hotel itself was beautiful, and both of our rooms offered lovely views. The only downside was that my coworker's room had a noticeable mildew smell. Toward the end of our stay, we saw that a ceiling panel in the hallway outside her room had been opened--perhaps for ventilation or maintenance. I wasn't too concerned, as it looked like the issue was being addressed rather than ignored. Hopefully, it's been fully resolved by now. Despite that, I'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Brickell. It all starts with how good it smells once you enter. The hotel is fully designed with art pieces and ensures comfort. It's flawless in every detail. Would definitely recommend coming here and booking. Prices are very reasonable also.

I came here specifically for an event at this fabulous hotel. So I can not really give.much into all thr amenities but the hotel itself is located in a very busy section of downtown. Walking distance to great restaurants, supermarket, and of course Bayside. Valet parking is available and if full you can park 2 blocks away at a public parking (it's actually cheaper). The lobby is big with art displays and interesting sculptures. I took the elevator to the third floor and didn't feel claustrophobic (I don't like small spaces) while going up. Once getting off the elevator I loved the views through the windows of the downtown area. The venue hall was big and spacious enough to fit 100 people easily. Also a plus the bathrooms were super clean. I was happy to attend this event and I appreciated the easiness of everything about the hotel and space in general.

When we checked in here on Sunday, I felt sure I was going to leave rating this place 5-stars. Unfortunately, after our 5-night stay, I can't in good conscience leave a perfect or even near-perfect rating. First, the good: We arrived early in the afternoon and were able to check in early, a bit before 1pm. The room! Wow! We were in a normal king room, and were placed in a corner room on the 30th floor with a nice view of the port where we could check out the cruise ships coming and going. There's a big desk with a comfortable chair for working, as well as another comfy chair to sit in and read or watch tv. The bathroom is spacious and includes a beautiful tub and separate shower, plus a tv in the mirror to enjoy while you bathe or get ready. Everything was clean and we were extremely comfortable. It was a little difficult to regulate the temperature in the room (the only options were "auto" and "off" so it was always either blowing hot or cold air), but otherwise was great. There is no mini fridge in the room (only a mini bar), however, you can call to order one, which we did after bringing back some leftovers. The fridge was delivered to us promptly. It was very wobbly (seemed like it was missing a leg?) but we folded a towel under the low side and it was fine. Now, the not-so-great: We went to the pool on Sunday after checking in and ordered a couple of cocktails from the pool bar. The drinks we received were served in teeny-tiny cups full of ice and were not strong at all. Thankfully we decided not to order a second round because when the bill came, it was over $50 BEFORE gratuity--for two tiny, weak drinks! There was no itemized receipt so I couldn't see the breakdown of why it was so expensive (I should have asked, but was too shocked). I'm not stingy, but for that price tag, I would expect some damn good drinks. Halfway through Monday (around noon), the internet completely cut out on all our devices while we were working. We contacted the front desk and they reported it to the IT department. It stayed out for the entire workday and into the night, so I completely lost out on half a day's work. I started panicking around 9pm when the internet still wasn't fixed, worrying I might have to spend the next day at a cafe (horrendous for meetings). The front desk couldn't provide any updates or estimates other than saying the whole hotel was out and the IT department was working on it. The staff we interacted with were all very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. When I went to bed, the internet was still out and I had a hard time sleeping because I was worrying about what would happen tomorrow. Luckily the internet was back up and running when I got up at 7am so I started working right away... and then it dropped again around 3:30pm. I couldn't believe it was happening again and worried how long it would be this time. I was anxious to keep working as I was in the middle of something when it cut out, but I didn't get much of an opportunity because the internet was out until around 8:30pm. I wound up staying up late to get some work done just in case the internet went down again the next day. Thankfully that was the end of the internet problems during my stay, but by that point I was constantly worrying that it was going to happen again. All that being said, I would absolutely stay here again IF and only if I were on vacation and did not have any obligation to work. Being in this hotel and needing to work was an extremely stressful experience.

    Manager's name

Booked my stay through Expedia and the hotel canceled my reservation on the backend without informing us. I and Expedia specialist could still see my valid booking, but the hotel refused to accept it. The hotel had my loyalty status on hand and totally ignored that and tried to up charge me instead. The front desk staff were not understanding and the hotel manager didn't once step out to try and rectify the situation. When I called to leave feedback with Marriott they claimed they are not even able to hear me out because the booking was made through a third party. Safe to say, I will no longer be staying with Marriot.

I love to hear, shout out to Andres he was such a kind person so helpful so accommodating. Who I got on the phone was exactly who I met in person. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to service their customers. I was in an Executive Suite, and it was huge. The beds are very comfortable, and the pillows are adequate. The pool area is amazing they have a small bar there and these little beds that you can use if you spend more than $100 while at the pool area. But it's a decent size. The only thing about it is when the Sun starts to go down, it's just the pool. Other than that, it's in a great location, and again, amazing. I would recommend anyone to stay here

Stolen Items from front desk by guest at JW Marquis Hotel Miami on 08/07/2025 @ 9:50 pm

My stay here was in disbelief after a long day of traveling I ordered door dash, however unfortunately my items was stolen by another guest, night shift manager and security reviewed the camera and stated they would reimburse and accommodate me the next morning the manager Eugenia Gonzolez (manager) stated the guest told her it was their merchandise and its she could not hold them liable and the hotel was not responsible for my items. It was devasting!! Medication, toiletries and personal items i had to replace while on vacation

We haven't stayed in Miami in a looong time, and booked here for a quick two night visit. Primary purpose was to visit friends at Cote Miami, secondarily to spend an evening people watching on the beach strip, and finally, ride an airboat in the Everglades before we humans ruin it permanently. The room was spacious with the remnants if a great view - ruined by some behemoth building under construction next door. Plusses: - Bed was super comfortable - Boulud Sud in the lobby was outstanding - staff was super helpful - huge work desk in room - they arranged airboat transportation and trip Minuses: - no soap in room upon check in - coffee in-room was espresso only - parking $55 a night (it IS Miami, but $55?) Location is not super convenient to restaurants or the popular design district (bring a barf bag there - the gaudiness is mind numbing), but there is a Whole Foods and CVS a block away. UBER was a fine solution. Overall we were pleased and would stay here again.

Each and every staff member was great. Helpful and professional. Checkin was excellent. They gave me a very lovely room immediately even though I arrived long before their official checkin time. Room was fantastic. Great views and a very comfortable bed.

The JW Marriott Marquis is a class act and exceptional in 9/10 categories for business travel. The staff is very professional and treats guests in a welcoming, responsive, respectful and accommodating manner. They are very attentive. The property itself is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms well appointed and crisp, while at the same time comfortable. I highly recommended this hotel.

Great views from the south side.

Had a great stay. Room and view was beautiful. Staff was great. Location is a little crowded but it is rite in the middle of the action. Rented a Ferrari for a day and the valet was perfect. This is what I expect when I stay at a Marriott.

Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

It turns out that the app was glitchy and we were put in a different room number. The lady behind the counter made adjustments and we were able to stay on the same floor as what I originally picked, but in a different room. The room had a king bed, a fridge, microwave, a TV, drawers, and a bathroom with a shower. It was very clean. We got two drink vouchers to redeem at the lobby/pool bar, which was a plus, to enjoy while we were at the pool. The hotel has a fitness center as well. The continental breakfast provided a selection of coffee and juices for the beverages. The food items consisted of a waffle bar, different types of pastries, and breakfast foods to choose from. They offered a little more than some of the other locations I have been at.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

First, the good, it's an awesome location on the southern tip of Brickell Key. The pool was wonderful and gets mostly continuous sun exposure during the day. My balcony faced west so I had sun during the afternoon as well (perfect for a tan). Honestly, I never felt like I needed to leave the resort being a pool guy. The base price room was spacious and mostly clean with a separate shower and tub. The bad- the service wasn't great here. I felt like anytime I needed something I had to ask 3-4 times before staff would remember (including freebies that were part of the room rate). The one time I asked a concierge for assistance he was super brash telling me to go talk to the front desk. The property felt old and in need of a renovation (again it's being demolished so not surprising in that context). Also, a lot of the ads for the resort promote its beach which no longer exists- it's now a model home for the condos going in. The hotel is pricey and gratuity is auto-included at 20% for everything which would be fine if the service was better and they didn't ask for additional tip on top of it. I wish I stayed here 20+ years ago because it felt like in its hay day this was a swanky hotel. Today, it's tired, on its last months, and the staff really don't seem like 5-star talent (as a benefit to the doubt most people would be unmotivated if things were shutting down too). Part of me is excited to try the new hotel whenever it opens, part of me wonders if the poor service is just part of the brand. The gym was tacky- literally they just through equipment in 6ish guest rooms with the doors propped open. Kind of funny but not 5-star hotel caliber.

From the moment we arrived with check-in, getting our bags to our room, we were treated like true VIPs. Once we got to the room, we had time to change and head to the pool. The evenings were great as we were able to sit out on the balcony and relax, while at the same time being in the lobby or hitting the restaurant was always great. We took advantage of the on-site yoga classes and the beach every day while we were there. The beach area was nice, in the servers supporting the beach I felt did their best to accommodate all of the guests outside. If you're a frequent AMEX user, I would definitely recommend going through your AMEX as it really did just make a difference. The grounds were well kept the pool was clean. The staff was friendly and most importantly, we had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend it for anybody coming to South Beach to come here, as it's centrally located and it's easily accessible to lots of other activities you may want to consider.

Our attendant was attentive but not hovering, kept the drinks coming, and food came out fast. Everything we ordered was solid -- perfect pool-day food and refreshing cocktails. There is a minimum spend requirement for the cabana, but it was super easy to hit between food and drinks. And considering you're paying for a dedicated space, service, and a prime poolside setup, it felt worth it. Overall, it was the perfect day to unwind and feel a little luxe. I'd definitely book the Ivy cabana again.

I was in Miami for a day and half and wanted to soak up some sun and enjoy myself being close to restaurants and the beach . I love this boutique styled hotel and the beautiful rooms that are so beautiful with the turquoise lighting ( my favorite color). I feel safe traveling solo here and never have had any issues. I love the pool and bar area and the decor of this hotel. They offer valet parking which I didn't need as I used car service from the brightline but have always trusted my trucks with their valet attendants. I've already booked another stay for September !

I couldn't really sleep. People were still out partying at 4am. If you don't mind loud then this place is good. The view of the main road was nice, I got to people watch. They also have beach service where they bring out the chairs and have service. We didn't have time since we had to board the Royal Caribbean ship. Check out was super easy. I would recommend this place.

Maybe someone called in that day because I felt bad for the young man. Once we checked in, everything was smooth sailing from there. The lobby and bar area were very inviting and everyone I came into contact with was friendly. The room I had was very tiny, but it was just me so I had no complaints. If you have more than one person in a room it will be very crowded as the large bed by the window takes up the majority of the space. This hotel is conveniently located near shopping and dinning and it's close to the cruise port. I'd definitely stay here again.

That said, the room itself was extremely small. It had all the essentials, but there wasn't much space to move around or unpack, so it felt a bit cramped, especially for a longer stay. If you're planning just a short visit or don't mind compact accommodations, it works, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the stay smoother despite the limited room size. Overall, I'd say M Citizen is a great choice for its location and vibe, but pack light and don't expect spacious quarters.
