From the time we were sat, to when our food finally came out, it had been over an hour. I know we had a larger group, but the waitress never came back to check on our drink or offer any insight on the wait. We had to seek it out ourselves. We were also being tormented by wasps, one of which we caught in a cup to stop it from bothering us. We saw people seated after us get their food before us. We even saw a couple sit down, wait for ages for service, and leave before ever ordering drinks. Once the food finally came, it was bland. My fish and chips were flavorless. Others at the table complained of food being either boiling hot or lukewarm. The little chocolate mint they bring you with the check was the best part. Someone in our group asked for an extra mint on the way out and they initially told her no. Overall, terrible experience. Made us late to the next thing on our itinerary and we didn't even enjoy the food.

Little known path along the Thames can be taken all the way to town. The Glaze is wide open restaurant, bar, and observatory combination with a view of a garden and lake. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Sleep quality above average. However, we would have preferred better pillows.

The little gem of Donnington…read more I have been staying here on business for a few weeks having stayed at some competitors' hotels in the local area and cannot recommend the Donnington enough. The service is always friendly yet efficient and the staff are more than happy to help with any queries or niggles I have during my stay. Rooms are split into two tiers; standard and executive (executive rooms being larger with a sofa, walk-in shower and separate bath, and robes/slippers included). Room service food is superb and always delivered promptly even during busy periods. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The bar area is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. The decor provides a warm, intimate and relaxing atmosphere and is great for winding down in the evening. Breakfast in the restaurant in the mornings is superb and well worth the money. The cooked breakfast is particularly tasty and features meat from local farms. The spa and gym facilities are where the hotel really shines. The pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are not to be missed (quiet times in the week are from around 7pm). The changing room/shower facilities are well thought out and provide ventilated lockers, trunk/swimming costume drying, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, hair straighteners and driers.

Our flight arrived late at night in Heathrow airport from Athens to London on a Friday night. We…read morehad a 15 hour layover in London with our flight to Los Angeles being the following day. I chose Premiere Inn since my daughter and I previously stayed at the Premiere Inn in Heathrow Terminal 4 on our trip to Rome for our Londonlayover. No transportation needed since that hotel is connected to the airport . Since we didn't want to go another terminal with our carry-on/cabin bag and backpack, we decided on Terminal 5 Premiere Inn since we arrived and will be departing from Terminal 5 in Heathrow. From Heathrow Terminal 5, we took bus 423 from platform 6. We had to use our credit card to pay for the bus from Terminal 5 to the hotel since we did not have an Oyster card. I would recommend getting an Oyster card if you have multiple people in your party since the bus takes only one credit card tap per person. If you want to know when the bus is coming, do a search online for "bus 423 from Heathrow to Premiere Inn". The bus ride is only 2 stops away, approximately 7-9 minutes from the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a smiling receptionist at the hotel which was a blessing for weary travelers. She was quick even though it looked like she had a broken finger. She just asked for my name and she was able to pull up my reservation. I requested if there were places to eat and bus schedule for the following day. She provided options for transportation and advised that they have a kitchen that some items late at night but there is McDonald's next to the hotel open 24 hours. She also informed us about the buffet breakfast for 10.50 Pounds per person. Price is based as of January 2023. I also found out right next to the McDonald's is a Shell Station/gas/petroleum station with a convenient store inside. I bought snacks and water for our wait time at the airport We had the economy room which was spacious large, clean and modern. It had a high bed, mini fridge, safe, ironing with iron, chase lounge, desk, and electric kettle. Each side of the bed had a table with plug and USB plug outlets which is very convenient. The tub was high with a partial glass enclosure with shampoo/body dispenser. I would highly recommend using the handles to ensure you don't slip. We greatly enjoyed our short time at Premiere Inn and appreciate their kind and friendly staff. We will definitely use Premiere Inn as our go to hotel on our next layover.

We parked in back in their private lot, but was told that parking would be an additional £10 when we checked-in. Once again, our Booking website did not clearly point out the extra fee for parking, so the front desk clerk apologized and upgraded us to a larger room with a view of Windsor Castle ... HOOAH! The room was smallish, but nicely appointed with a comfy queen size bed and fast internet, something we had recently missed at some of the English hotels and inns we stayed at on this road trip. Then there was the view of Windsor Castle ... WOW! Breakfast, which was included, was the best in recent memory with a choice of eggs Benedict, an omelette, or full English breakfast. I went with the eggs Benedict and my wife the omelette, both cooked to perfection. Juices, toast, coffee, tea and other selections (cereal, yogurt, etc) were also available. When checking-out, the clerk told us that she would comp the parking because of Booking website's oversight, saving us another $14.50. Really torn. Got two…read morerooms there earlier this month. The front desk lady knew nothing about the business, surrounding restaurants or where anything was located. Briefly mentioned where to go to get to our rooms. After following the first direction, we promptly got lost. There are no signs anywhere, so we had to go back and get assistance. They had us follow them down an UNMARKED hallway, through an UNMARKED door, up an UNMARKED stairway to our rooms. A little signage would be great. Rooms reasonable and warm despite the cold outside. Nice little coffee/tea set inside which I appreciate. Complimentary breakfast was very nice, and you could order something hotter for money. Very good service at breakfast! On the plus side, it's two blocks or so from Windsor Castle and it's a lovely walk.

It is a stay in a museum and one can wonder the halls of this property for a very long time. From paintings, to elaborate finishes, The Langley certainly deserves plentiful recognition. As a Titanium guest, I was able to get upgraded to a three story suite, which in itself is a spectacular upgrade by multiple categories up. The property sadly does not participate in Suite Nights, so it meant having to reach out to the manager prior. But hey, it's the result that counts right? Not only that, but the room included a favorite dessert and was beautifully appointed. There is an unquestionable "wow" factor to this hotel. Things like the television coming out from a cabinet by the bed mechanically with a touch of a button, top notch toiletries and impeccable finishes. The breakfast experience was pretty basic, but cutlery and plating was beautiful. The service at the front desk was truly spectacular and the team was always very helpful. At breakfast and lunch, a bit slow, requiring some chasing down of the same girl working both establishments. The burger was deliciously cooked for lunch and complimented perfectly with a fresh champagne. Nothing like burgers and champagne right? Walking through the vast grounds, it is pure pleasure to explore the British countryside and see swans, goats and plentiful wild birds. The entire estate is an elaborate escape from the hustle of London, only a short distance away and allows one to dive into different world of luxury and history.

We definitely look forward to each time we go and have been going here for 10+ years. In winter the fireplace is going and keeps it nice and warm. With two dining areas and outside seating (with a heated area too), there is a bit of room for groups and recommend booking for any special event. The food is always good and prepared using fresh, local ingredients. Recommend the Pork Medallions and any fish dish available. The cook is humble but gifted. You can also reserve a room as well. We do so when we have friends or family in. This is the only place we go to for the all year round. We rate this pub very highly for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, the staff are always friendly and understand customer service very well. The food is always excellent and the bar is always well stocked.
