We went back and forth on whether to hire a coordinator at all since we were planning a more intimate wedding with a smaller budget, and we thought we could handle the day of coordination ourselves with help from family. I am so glad we decided to work with Tory from Tahoe Bride instead of trying to do it ourselves. She was able to work with our budget and even though we went with the day-of-coordination package, Tory put in hours and hours of planning work including phone calls, emails and texts in the 6+ months leading up to the wedding. Our venue was a family cabin on the lake, which came with its own challenges in terms of layout and space for guests. Tory handled every challenge with extreme professionalism and expertise. We had to change the game plan for the wedding several times leading up to the big day because of concerns about the lake level, and Tory worked with us the whole time even when changing plans the week before. We were also working with the affiliated EventMasters company for rentals, and Tory came out on the day that they did the venue evaluation to help us coordinate all the rentals.
