We had to move two houses into one and it was definitely not an easy job at all ( my mom has a lot of stuff and really heavy furniture) they were nice and had a positive attitude the whole time and worked efficiently. I locked my service with Samuel about 2 weeks in advance of my move. The week of my move I again reached out to Samuel to confirm my time and date to which he confirmed. My move was scheduled to start at noon so naturally on the move date half an hour the scheduled arrival time I decided to let Samuel know that we were ready for them. My call rang a few times then I was sent to voicemail this was strange but I decided to gave them until the scheduled time. I again tried calling them at 12:15 since the movers where nowhere to be seen. Again my call we sent to voicemail directly. Annoyed I called from a different number and SURPRISE he picked up. I asked about my move and I was given an explanation on why the movers where not here as they were running late with another move. Being an understanding client I said ok give me an ETA. Samuel said he was going to call back in 15 minutes to give the ETA. Half an hour later Samuel called I was given some more BS reasons on why the movers where not here and where told I was going to be called back. At 2:45 and countless rejected calls later and several text messages sent Samuel was not heard from. At 3 pm I received a call from some other moving company where Samuel had transferred my service. They said they were wrapping a move and that they will give me a call to give me an ETA. The other movers YoungStars LLC - Youngstars moving & Delivery showed at 4 pm. They were AWFUL!!! dropped my items, dropped my TV in front of me dropped my sofa ... terrible experience. My furniture items even though they were film wrapped an all arrived with scratch marks and in bad shape.I will be giving them a separate review. But as for Ever-Ready Discount Movers... If you care about someone respecting your time on a stressing movement, stay away from them. They won't own their responsibility and they won't even respond when you call them. I am giving them 1 star because they at least referred me to a separate moving company and I was able to complete my move, but horrible service, 0 ownership, 0 respect for customer. Communication was great. They showed up on time. Very courteous and respectful. Took extra time and care to cover and tape up my very expensive curved tv. Went the extra mile of helping me put together two recliners without charging me extra. Their pricing was more than fair with no hidden charges nor did they nickel and dime you to death such as trip charge or fuel charge. Will definitely use them again. read more

I am in from out of town and was short on time to help pack and move a relative's entire apartment before I had to head back home. Ever ready was available when other movers weren't. One moving company I spoke to advised they could assist me in 2 weeks! I decided to call Ever ready instead and they were at the apartment in two hours! The 2 gentlemen that showed up were knowledgeable in moving things, careful with our objects and very friendly. I couldn't t have asked for a better experience. I should have followed the past bad reviews. Within the first hour I knew hiring Samuel was a huge mistake. The agreed upon flat rate was increased by nearly $1,500 with extra fees like a "credit card" use fee. Once our belongings were finally headed to our new home Samuel and no one from his crew returned our calls for over five hours. We had no idea where our stuff was as we were waiting at our new home. Finally, a guy from the crew called saying the truck had mechanical problems and they should arrive at about 1:30am in the morning. We were forced to sleep at a motel and wait for the crew the next day. After the crew finally finished, we arrived at our new home to see that they had not set up our furniture or appliances as we had contracted and most of our belongings were just piled up in the garage. Now we need to hire a local crew to finish the work Samuel and his crew were contracted and paid to do. read more

Nightmare! One of the workers asked for a red bull and then puked in my toilet. He was useless and my son and I did the move ourselves with the one good worker. Sam employs a con artist named Daniel Mendoza. He will offer you services while he works like upselling, I fell for it. He claims to be a " professional" at just about everything. Decided to give it a chance since the move wasn't bad. He fucked up my car, did not tell me, I found out later on, and now, the owner, Sam, is protecting his information so that I have to take the long route in taking him to court. In the end we will be in court over this matter, but the fact that Sam at first, told me, " you are a customer you are like my brother I will give you anything you need, let me talk to him first." 24 hours later and multiple missed calls later have yet to get the info or the compensation I am deserved. Avoid this shady company. And do not let these crooks into your home. Hire that veteran owned moving company. Honest and reliable. read more

I usually don't post reviews but I had to come on here and say a few things about these guys!! First off my husband and I just moved from California to Texas and it took us 2 days to fill all of our stuff in a 28 foot trailer and we knew it was going to be a pain to unload. Fast forward to arriving in Texas my husband got hurt the day before and I was panicking because I didn't think we would find help the next day and I knew we couldn't do it alone. I sent Ever-ready discount movers a message asking for help the morning of and got an instant response. He was able to help us and sent two of the nicest guys out to us named Louis and Mark, and man those guys move and work as fast as possible to get you unloaded. They wasted no time, it took them an hour to finish that whole truck! The next day Louis and Sam came and helped unload our huge refrigerator at no cost because they weren't able to do it the night before because they didn't have proper equipment and were worried about damaging our appliance. Sam made it his mission that the job was 100% complete. I'm forever grateful and will always recommend these guys to anyone. read more

It's started off with them running over 45 min late. We had all the boxes sitting outside waiting on them to get there for 45 min. The 2 movers got along for the first 40 min of the move but for the final 2.5 hours they argued the whole time. Then felt the need to tell about how one of the guys is new and they don't have a good chemistry which is why they're moving slower today. He mentioned all of this even though that is irrelevant to me when I'm hiring someone to do a job. On top of it all they accidentally broke the leg to one of our most expensive pieces of furniture, and then proceeded to tell me it was already loose after breaking it. (Never mentioned a word about it being loose before they broke it, only after) After telling me it was broke they asked for a sock saying that could fix it with that's my guess would be to try and get out of paying for it. Over all not a good experience. Would not recommend. read more

WORST NIGHTMARE TURNED REALITY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - CALL A DIFFERENT MOVING COMPANY Two guys showed up and then cancelled on us because they weren't comfortable parking on the street to load my one bedroom apartment. Argued with me and said they couldn't park on the street so I walked them to the front office at the apartment and had the manager give them permission. Still didn't want to park there because they were worried about getting a ticket?? The apartment manager even told him if he got a ticket to bring it to her. We see people move in/out of the apartment and unload/load trucks there every single day. He tried to say the amount of stuff I had was more than a normal one bedroom apartment? I actually live in a studio so no it wasn't. Talk about LAZY! Those two guys drive off and the owner of the company finally answers my call and says he's coming with another guy to move us and would be there in an hour. Two hours go by. I'm calling, sending messages on Yelp, leaving voicemails. Never showed up. Completely stood me up and left me screwed when I needed to move today. Talk about my worst nightmare. Moving is already so stressful and these guys added more stress and headache than ever imaginable. Absolutely horrible experience all around. Not worth trying to save some money. Just hire the more expensive guys because at least they're reliable and will actually get you moved. read more

These guys are great! Sam, their manager was VERY, VERY accommodating. They encountered some personnel issues, so he personally handled it and did some work himself until the replacement arrived. They were fast and very friendly and trustworthy. We needed to pay via credit card, too and despite the delays in their card machine, Sam was very patient until we all figured it out! Don't Do It. Sent 2 inexperienced movers that worked hard but not smart or efficient. We had things ready to move from one 2 bdrm apt to another, and it literally took them from 8-5. They were nice and tried their best and it wasn't their fault. The owners should have sent at least one experienced mover to help speed things along. It was the lead mover's 3rd day on the job! They were so slow we stepped in to help speed things along. They broke a piece on the bed, used our tape, & ran out of plastic wrap. I recommend paying a little more for a seamless move with fast experienced prepared movers. This company may charge less per hour but they are going to take every bit of 8,9, 10 plus hours to move a 2 bdrm apartment so that they can milk you for your money! No thanks. read more

Samuel's crew moved my son in Grand Prairie a short distance and they did a tremendous job. They were fast and efficient and handled his belongings carefully. They accidentally left one of his sofa cushions in their truck, but Samuel was quick to follow up and have it delivered to my son. They are very reasonably priced with no hidden charges for assembly or trip charge and were able to fit his move in on short notice. I highly recommend using them and will use them again in the future. read more

The worst experience ever. I am military and have moved several times. The first day they came to pack the large things. Not only were they late, but they did not bring the proper materials and kept leaving to buy more supplies charged me $300 for supplies and never gave me a receipt. They broke down the beds and packed the TV's. Found out while unpacking, they did not tape the hardware to the items. Now I have several pieces of furniture with no screws to put them back together. The next day the crew was due at my residence at 8am. NO ONE showed up. Got ahold of Sam (the owner) who told me he would have someone to me and they arrived around 1pm. They worked until past 11pm. Then Sam started arguing with his employees over the phone regarding what he was going to pay them. Extremely unprofessional. In the end he charged me close to $1000 dollars more than he quoted. So 5 stars isn't enough to give for this company. When I say they were AMAZING ... that's just a tip of the iceberg. My boyfriend is over seas and I needed to move my 3 bedroom home with two little ones, 8 and 11mo, and Samuel and his partner did everything they could to make this move as easy as possible. I had to leave to get my oldest from school and my youngest from my in-laws house about an hour away and I was able to leave them in my old home and gave the key to my new place for them to continue working while I was away. When I got back almost everything had been transferred and the price was a flat rate of 80/hr including mileage, take down and assembly of beds, the fridge, W/D .. all the above. They support our troops greatly and gave a discounted rate in honor of my boyfriend being in the army. I can't thank them enough for being so fast and flexible, not to mention 2 hours early! I could go on and on but I doubt y'all want to read forever but this is company is worth every penny!! Not to mention a local family owned business so why not SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!! I will definitely be working with them in future moves and telling friends and family about them! read more
