Maybe it is being mixed with Northern and Nepalese styles but everything we tried was good. The samosas were fresh hot and flavorful. The dal was seasoned well. They serve the dishes in metal bowls that keep them warm so our Kofta stayed warm and was creamy. The cheese masala dish was excellent. A lot of nice vegetarian options for us to share since my sister is strict veggie. Indian is a great route for us to find vegetarian meals and we were all raving about things one. There are many options for meat eaters. I saw one guy had a sizzling dish like fajitas and I was jealous! The garlic naan was very nice with the raita. I could go on and on. The service was friendly and quick. We tried a red wine from the Moravia region of Czech republic and were delighted. It was light and complimented our meal nicely. Full story: We initially left a 5 star review as the food and service was good, however, after we left our review (we were asked to do it by the waiter in the restaurant before we paid) something odd happened. We tried to pay our 600 check with a 1000 bill. The waiter came back and said he could not break it. We said fine, we'll pay by credit card. We thought it odd that he ran off with the 1000 bill again, so we thought he was going to double check if he could break it. He returned without the 1000 bill and asked us for our credit card. We asked him for the 1000 bill. We would not give him the credit card without getting our 1000 bill back. He looked surprised and ran off again. He came back with the 1000 bill and so we then paid by credit card. We thought it odd but were sort of flustered as we were trying to leave. We even asked about leaving a tip and ended up doing it via a separate credit card charge. When we got back to the hotel we discussed what happened. When they could not break the bill why did he not immediately hand it to us and take our credit card to process right away? Why did he leave and return without the bill then ask us to pay by credit card? This entire scenario seemed intentional. We were obviously tourists and if they got away with it, it would be our word against theirs, and chances are they would never see us again. So if you eat here, the food is good, the service is good, but make sure you are not scammed out of your cash. Now I'm concerned about the charge and will be following up to make sure that wasn't tampered with as well.
