Where do I start? Let's talk about customer service. I understand that it's a small shop usually…read morerun by one man, but even when you're with a customer, you should greet any other potential customers entering your business. "I'll be right with you", simple and to the point. The person working here, also the owner, is very rude and has never greeted me upon arrival. I recently took a watch to get the battery replaced. Any jewelry store apprentice could make this happen in less than 30 minutes. Turns out, this particular store does not have the proper tools to change watch batteries and has to take them to Ft. Worth for a week to have someone else do it for them. My experience lasted two weeks because the owner couldn't wait for the job to be done and left my watch in Ft. Worth. In my opinion this is poor business practice. The owner makes a habit of quoting one price then when you go to pay it's always more. The price of the coins and jewelry are high, unless you're trying to sell something, that's when the low ball prices come out, and I mean way low. The owner shows very little knowledge of pricing, I'm sure they google gold and silver prices every morning and forget by lunch. The owner is lucky one star is the lowest. Also lucky that they're the only game in town. Bridgeport would be a nice place for a jewelry store. I can hardly wait for the pawn shop to open.

I saw one employee patiently answering kids questions about items while their parents shopped. He also helped me in finding the tools section, which is downstairs in the basement of the building'. They had an amazing selection. They also had sale items for the bargain hunters. It's the kind of place I could literally spend hours in and enjoy every minute!

As soon as you enter the door you're greeted by the staff, and the beautiful collection they have. He always remembers a face and will probably ask if you if you'd like A Dr. Pepper from the downstairs, A COLD ONE !! You'll browse around and find a couple items and if you're feeling lucky he might even flip a coin with you on an item! Such a nice man and I've even received a stuffed animal to take home with my findings (it still sits in my car till this day) just and coming back for my visit. He is the embodiment of a PawPaw I never knew I needed. Truly such an amazing experience I wish I was able to visit more! Please PLEASE please!!! Go CHECK THEM OUT!! ALSO LADIES!! (They have an amazing jewelry collection, like absolutely anything and everything so if your looking for that cute next like necklace or trying to show that man that vintage southern ring you've been searching for... this might be for you!!!) From one thrift adventurer to another, don't pass this up!!

Let me tell you about Tanco Creations Jewelry, and trust me, it's a story worth hearing!…read moreSo, my jewelry was looking pretty neglected , because it had been Naturally, I did what any self-respecting human does: I hit up the good ol' Google machine for "jewelry shop in Weatherford." Tanco popped right up, and little did I know, my accessories were about to get a serious glow-up. First contact: The phone call. I braced myself for the usual stiff customer service voice and probably a hidden fee for breathing near their establishment. Instead, a voice as sweet as a glass of iced tea on a hot day answered. I asked "Do y'all clean jewelry?" Im half-expecting to hear about a gold-plated cleaning fee. Her reply? "Oh, we don't usually charge for that!" Hold the phone! That's awesome. "But... I have a ton of jewelry," I confessed, picturing my entire collection of sad, dull rings and bracelets. "Just bring it in!" she said. Folks, that's what we call a genuine "come on down!" moment. Walking into the store, I was fully prepared for the aggressive sales pitch, I'm from Dallas, the homeless man at door is trying to sell you something. Instead, I was met with a warm, "Welcome! How are you?" Not a single soul tried to push a sale, suggest an upgrade, or even hint that my current jewelry situation was a dire emergency. It was just pure, unadulterated, friendly hospitality. Then came the moment of truth: I proceeded to unload what felt like a small mountain of jewelry onto their counter. I mean, enough sparkle (if it were clean) to make a disco ball feel insecure. I fully expected them to look at me like I'd just handed them a bag of rusty nails and then present a bill that required a second mortgage. But nope! They calmly took everything, meticulously cataloged each piece, gave me a timeframe, and sent me on my merry way, told me it would be around 20 bucks since it was so much but shouldn't be more then 50. There was a bracelet that needed a touch up... she then gave me two pieces of Hershey's chocolate (yes I believe it's better then the French stuff) and told me she'd call me in a couple days. Just as I was about to skip out the door, a thought popped into my head. "Hey," I mumbled, feeling a little sheepish, "could you maybe... size all of this for me? I'm actually planning on selling most of it." Now, this is where most places would probably give you the side-eye and then quote you and remind you they don't work for free, we will need an "expert appraisal service." But not here at Tanco! With a smile so bright it could outshine any diamond in their display case, she said, "Well, of course!" Zero hesitation. Zero judgment. Just pure, helpful awesomeness. I did take a few minutes to browse around, and seriously, their jewelry is absolutely stunning. When I'm finally in the mood to buy something new instead of just cleaning and offloading my old stuff, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be heading straight back to Tanco Jewlery. They've earned a customer for life, not just because their pieces are gorgeous, but because their service is genuinely kind, incredibly helpful, and just plain wonderful. Do yourself a favor and go check them out. Your jewelry (and your stress levels) will thank you.
