I used Corey and his team to buy my first home towards the end of 2021. For the most part, they were great in answering all my questions and helping me get through the home buying process. However, I have to take off at least 2 stars (I kind of want to take them all off), because in the end, money is still most important. They failed to notice a critical detail about my job (that was clear from the beginning mind you, it just didn't dawn on them) until I had decided on a home and was pushing to finalize on it. Thanks to that missed detail, I could not get the loan unless I had my parents co-sign the loan. Everything else was completely ready, I just needed the loan. I do not like having to rely on anyone, let alone on my parents for a commitment this large. As such, we asked several times about what it would take to get them removed from the loan once the job detail was fixed. I can't recall the exact wording anymore, and of course it wasn't in writing, but they convinced me that I would be able to get him off the loan and the interest rate of the loan would not change. Low and behold, several months later once my job detail was fixed, I find out the ONLY way to get my parents off the loan is to refinance the loan, which as of writing this review, would increase my interest rate over 50%. Rather than tell me the truth and be forced to wait for things to change for me so I could get a home without relying on my parents, they chose to deceive me and convince me I would not be locked into the choice of either keeping my parents on the loan or taking a massive hit from refinancing. So, they missed a critical detail that should have been caught at the beginning, and then they deceived me to ensure I didn't wait to get the loan. Of course, I have no proof of this as nothing was in writing. I guess we live in an age where even if it's made out to be standard practice, nothing is to be believed unless you have it put in writing and signed. Edit (Typo) read more

I would never use them again. I purchased 5 homes in my lifetime, and never have I gone through what they put me through. I bought in 2017, and have had a chance to talk to MANY people in the business about my experience. I was treated differently I believe because I was a retiree. Even though I had enough assets to buy the house 4 times over. The first person who was assigned to me was good, but then they switched my file to someone who wasn't fully experienced. For example, I would get an e-mail from her most mornings saying "To Do List." The next morning I would get an e-mail entitled, "Fix it List." All the fix its I had to do were because she gave me incorrect or incomplete instructions the prior day. They also made me pay off my car which was 9k. I have since been told that since I had GAP insurance, there was no need for me to pay off my car. Yet they never said anything, and should have asked. GAP insurance pays off the car should anything happen to the car. A wasted 9k for me. It was one of the most stressful experiences in my life. This gal had me on my computer chasing after this and that for about 6 hours a day, and pretty much it was fix it fix it fix it because of her poor instructions. I complained and they should have given my file to someone more experienced based on what I had complained about. I never went through any of this with the previous 4 houses I bought. I might be buying again this summer and I won't be using Evergreen. read more
