We went through Northstar a few years ago, the construction took forever and was way too expensive. Anywhere in the realm of 500k for what we got is ridiculous. Definitely read and reread your contract before you start. The "settling cracks" aren't covered but how can you tell the difference between settling cracks and poor quality of work? Every single room has bad cracks. Not just tiny ones I'm talking gouges. In the first year they would send the same guy out to slap mud over them and shocking to no one else they came back. I am tempted to have a 3rd party structural engineer come in and send the bill to Northstar. Again. Do not go through this company.

Can I trust them with my most valuable possession? And to top it all off, I was just coming off of being sick for a long time. I was stressed to say the least. I starting calling numbers that I could find for local contractors on Google. I didn't want some independent who would take my money and run. I wanted someone who at least had an office and ratings that I could verify. I set appointments with 3 different contractors, to get bids. The first company basically (without putting it in words) told me that my house was not worth their time. Cody Burch with Resolutions came out with one of his foremen and measured and looked around. The house was rough, no doubt, but Cody was sure I would end up loving it when it was done. But I had one more contractor to get a bid from. I can't even remember who the third contractor was but his price close to Resolutions. When I tried to call him back, I didn't get a response (I may have dodged a bullet there). Long story short, I believe the Cody and Resolutions was put here to help me, and they did. My house went from the scary Halloween house with the peeling paint and the nasty siding to a nice, respectable home! The crew was fast, courteous and friendly and I can't sing their praises enough. I have a stack of their business cards, and being in the real estate industry, will recommend them to anyone asking. Bless you all for what you have done. I love my home (though I still have work to do).

Rich used his incredible creativity to design and build the roof to look like it came as a part of our original house. You cannot tell it is an add-on 17 years after our home was built. It perfectly blends in with the original home and yet it is brand new. We had some unique and challenging requests in what we wanted and Rich's energy and creativity was able to pull it off, just liked we hoped. It came out perfect. I don't know how Rich and his team could have done any better and he kept it all within his original quote, even though he did incur some unexpected expenses. We volunteered to cover some of those extra expenses, because they were not his fault, but he would not let us. If you want someone with so much experience and knowledge and skill and creativity and honesty and transparent communication skills - you better call Rich. Thank you Rich! Saw a customer curved corner that have never seen in a deck before and surprised it could be done! Wow! Comes up with very creative solutions and works to the benefit of the customer. Much, much better than a lot of the decks on most of the new construction I see popping up around town.
