From the moment we stepped in I knew Westminster wouldn't be good. From smelling like pee, to dirty carpets it was gross. My dads care was anything but questionable. He lost the ability to use his arms and required him to be fed. First day the nurse brought the food in and left. When we advised he'll need to be fed they said "He can't eat on his own?" First time we met the Dr he thought my dad had battled cancer. He obviously mixed up charts. Lastly, my dad was struggling with pneumonia. I came in Sunday afternoon to find him struggling to breath. I asked the nurse to come and check on him. It took them two hours to come in. They had to call 911. He then stopped breathing in route to the hospital. SO PLEASE....DON'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!

The lady who was ultimately selected to provide care for my wife was a caring, thoughtful and experienced caregiver. She suggested things to make my wife more comfortable; she was careful when caring for my wife to be gentle and when moving her she did everything to limit the pain my wife experienced; she was sensitive to the feelings of my family and shared her life experiences with us in preparing for the passing of my wife. I can recommend this organization and the caregiver without reservation. My sib is a shy person, and recognizing this, the staff facilitated her meeting other residents that they knew she'd get along with. The facility has a very homey rather than institutional, feel to it. There are plenty of planned activities that residents are encouraged to take part in. A special shout-out to the nursing staff for their professionalism and for being quick to respond whenever I had a question or issue. The peace of mind I got, knowing that sis was being well taken care of was priceless.

I've had my parents at another national community and it was a terrible experience. Paramount staff is caring from the front desk to the caregivers to nurses to the senior and executive team. My parents love the food, they get help with their showers, and the caregiving team truly looks them over to make sure everything physically is going well. (One caregiver found my moms leg swollen and it was discovered she had a blod clot.) Had it not been for her looking out and paying attention to the leg change this could have turned into a stroke. I'm positive this would not have been caught at the other place I had my parents. Recently worked with Therapist Ki Park for rotator cuff, bicep repair surgery. Each session Ki…read morereviewed his notes and checked range of motion, old exercises, and presented new exercises. Each session's exercises were printed out and given to me so work could continue at home. Ki's attention to posture and safety when doing exercises was very much appreciated. After about 6 weeks working with Ki and out of surgery for about 4 months, I could do full plank, partial push ups. At about 6 months from surgery and working at home, I can now do 2 full plank push ups. I'm a 71.5 year old woman. I credit Ki for my rather fast recovery and for keeping me highly motivated, interested, safe from injury, and challenged. I appreciated Ki's professionalism, attentiveness, knowledge, and dry sense of humor. Terrific therapist.

I've been having on and off hand pain for a few months. It feels very weak and the thumbs seems to…read morebe creating wrist pain. It has also been getting numb and falls asleep quite a bit.I feel like I can't trust my own hand. Went to my orthopedic who told me to try therapy. I went and the doctors quickly established that she wanted to cancel my appointment because it wasn't constant pain but on and off. She periodically kept asking me questions then telling me she was going to cancel the appointment. She even had me do exercises to test the strength in my hand which cause me pain while doing it. But she continued to says she was going to cancel the appointment. She basically just told me to avoid doing things. I've been wanting to do weight lifting exercise but haven't been able to do them because of this.I think she misunderstood thinking this was a thing I was doing a lot and everyday. When in realityI've done next to none because of the hand weakness. So it's very clear the weights aren't the issue. She told me to just not do it. I told her I was only using 5 pounds weights which is literally nothing. We lift heavier things on the day to day. But she was pretty confident saying that was a lot?? I cant even exercise because I can't trust my hand. I can't just avoid everything. I don't understand why she didn't even think to give me a few sessions to see if I could benefit from them but instead she just told me it might just go away. When I brought up the numbness she said it might be my spine, so I brought up going to a dr and she pretty much said that I should just wait and it'll probably go away... Just doesn't sit right to me... this is life changing stuff and she basically wants me to wait and hopefully it'll go away. It's already been around 3 months... when will it go away?

I was very pleased with the care my family member received here for short term rehab (approx 30…read moredays) after being released from Prince William Hospital. Each member of the nursing team on all shifts took great care of them as they require a great deal of help with all daily living activities to be. I felt there was the right amount of staff for the number of patients (we have been at other rehabs that are over crowded with not enough staff to provide even basic care to everyone).

My fiancé's mother was only supposed to stay here temporarily while her home was fixed up to be safe for her. They had patients take cloths in before they are admitted to be sanitized. I thought that sounded like a good procedure. I was wrong they lost a large amount of her cloths. They must have given them to another patient because she never saw them again. She has called hysterically, crying every day and night. They left her in dirty diapers for 3-4 hours even though she had been asking to be changed. My fiancé had to call and tell them they needed to go change her because she was calling us sayin it was hours and no one would help. Tonight when she called us she had no blanket and was freezing. One night they told her literally " shut up and stop pressing the help button and left her soiled for hours. I was on the phone and heard a lady say "stop yelling shut up and go to bed ,I'm not changing you right now". multiple calls to the managers she finally was changed. I rate this place a negitve 1000. The are rude take no responsibility for their actions, and are horribly unprofessional. I have never been so disgusted in my life. These people are money hungry liars and manipulators that only care about getting patients checks and dismiss all family concerns they are the worst place for you family. If you love them don't ever do this to them please they don't care and aren't compassionate they are terrible terrible people and no one deserves that. The basic human necessities are not even met here. Think twice before you allow your loved ones to go here and if they already do make sure you visit because if not they will neglect your family even more. Simply disgusted. (Update) she was there for five weeks. They are charging for two months because they charge monthly. That is such a scam. Sadly the mother passed away. At least it was in her own home and not left alone for hours on end in her own mess. (Update) I'm still getting bills in my fiancé's name for time his mother was not there. It just reminds me of how awful this place was.
