I was the Case Manager in the building. The management team I worked with were wonderful. The floor staff were very helpful and have been employees for many many years. The administrator has began renovations to the facility as it is older and is making the facility more appealing in many ways. I have been blessed go meet my co-workers that I can now say are family as they are great hard working employees that make the work place environment positive and fun not only for patients but also for their families.

From the moment we stepped in I knew Westminster wouldn't be good. From smelling like pee, to dirty carpets it was gross. My dads care was anything but questionable. He lost the ability to use his arms and required him to be fed. First day the nurse brought the food in and left. When we advised he'll need to be fed they said "He can't eat on his own?" First time we met the Dr he thought my dad had battled cancer. He obviously mixed up charts. Lastly, my dad was struggling with pneumonia. I came in Sunday afternoon to find him struggling to breath. I asked the nurse to come and check on him. It took them two hours to come in. They had to call 911. He then stopped breathing in route to the hospital. SO PLEASE....DON'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!

The Herculean effort to make this transition smooth and welcoming on the part of the owners and the director of Evermore has been truly remarkable. They welcomed my dad as if he was a member of their own family. We were sure he would resist this move at every opportunity, but with the added care and attention to detail to make him feel at home, he transitioned with very little stress. We toured a number of assisted living facilities in the Northern Virginia area and none impressed us like Evermore. Beyond just the personal touches and the intimate setting, the technology was beyond my expectations. They have thought of everything to make the residents comfortable. The medical staff is wonderful! They are so gentle and considerate with my dad and we have nothing but confidence that he is being cared for with respect. They staff is very professional and personally know the residents. My father passed away in his apartment and the entire staff came by to pray over him and hug my mom and our family. My mom has a caregiver that each night helps her get ready for bed, tucks her in and makes sure all the lights are off and her door is locked. My mom sleeps so well! I find the administrative staff to be very responsible. When I have an issue, I contact Kimberly, the director, and she is always very kind and responsive. Alan is also very compassionate and professional. The facility always smells clean and fresh no matter when you visit. Princess is wonderful and calls me when my mom feels ill to let me know what the dr has prescribed and to see if I have concerns. She is wonderful about knowing my mom and when she isn't herself she calls the dr and makes sure she is ok. I highly recommend this facility! They are wonderful to their residents and the resident's families too!

She also says, a tenant said something that they never said. The place has went down hill. The carpet need to be changed from dog urine stains. The building was built in 2003 and has the original carpet. Hasn't been shampooed in the six going on seven years I have been here. Walls need to be painted. Front Door Automatic Switch doesn't work. Lightning in Parking Lot need to stay on at night, lights are either out completely or on a timer. Parking lot roads has pot holes. Rails in halls need to be washed down. Elevator need to be cleaned and sanitized daily but it isn't. Mole is growing on the outside of the building. Building hasn't been washed down in years. The most important one is: A male tenant can harass you and get away with it by just saying, "I'm not doing anything". The apartments are well equipped, with full kitchens and washer and dryer. The guest suites and dining areas are tastefully decorated as are the hallways, each with a lovely sitting area for residents to visit with others. The very lively activities' coordinator takes residents on walks in the attractive Belmont Bay area, engages them in physical exercise and dancing. The Director seems to be well liked and is very responsive. The chef prepares a variety of healthy meals, served in a tastefully decorated dining room with service from friendly staff. The residents are quite diverse; in addition to many white residents of various backgrounds, there are Latinas, African-Americans, Filipinos, Indians and other Asians. I was impressed that residents socialized with each other, especially during happy hour. The costs are quite reasonable given the DC area. I encourage seniors who are exploring options to call and visit them.
