My partner and I are first-time home buyers...as 20 year olds who are still in college. While we had all the confidence to succeed, we did lack experience, so we really needed someone that would guide us through the entire process. We found that through Every Door Real Estate. We were able to schedule an appointment that same day to go over the entire home buying process, and we got sent our first set of listings within the next few days! Emily was the absolute perfect real estate agent for us. She was on top of everything. Loan officer? She's got it covered. Inspection person? She's got it covered. HOA Reviewer? She's got it covered. It was SO amazing to work with someone who could provide us these resources so we didn't have to do much searching around on our own (and potentially end up with someone that was unsatisfactory). My partner and I are very picky, and instead of getting annoyed or frustrated, she was super understanding! She listened to our wants/needs, but she also taught us how to compromise and choose our first place based on our most important wants. We also appreciate how flexible and understanding she was of our time! Unfortunately, my partner and I have shown up late to a few of our property tours, but she was always ready for us when we got there. You can tell this job is her calling. She's super bubbly, positive, and fun to work with, and she's only a few years older than us, so getting to work with someone close to our age was SUCH a benefit (because she knew exactly how to communicate with us and never talked down to us just because we are super young). This is just the first of many properties we plan on acquiring, and we hope to work with her again (very soon) in the future! I worked with Monika Macguffie for about 6 months from October 2020 through March 2021 and she was incredible. Firstly, Monika is a real people person and business woman but also knows how to speak real estate on a technical level. Early on, Monika identified that I was not only a first time buyer but needed a lot of education to make a smart decision. There were some very tough months through the winter with low inventory, a lot of buyers and my tricky financial picture (recently divorced). When we got into the heart of real estate season Monika totally stepped up to the challenge. My shopping partner and I were looking on the east side and she met us at just about every house we wanted to see, and if she couldn't be there, had an arsenal of assistants who could let us in. Seeing houses was so important for me because I really needed to know what I didn't like, so when I found something I did like, it was obvious and easy for me to want to make an offer. We ended up expanding our search to the entire north end of Lake Washington and put an offer on a lovely house in Lake Forest Park. This process was I.N.T.E.N.S.E.L.Y competitive but Monika is a bit of an agent whisperer. She will contact the buyers agent and get information for you without being pushy or unprofessional. She fiercely advocated for us for every offer, (of which there were 6 houses we put offers on) but her tact when working with the sellers agent made all the difference. Monika helped us put together a very saavy offer. She is very good with the technical details of the contract and how the numbers affect you as a competitive buyer. Ultimately, Monika pulled off the buy for us by getting the sellers to just say YES to us! There were other full price all cash offers competing with ours, but I truly believe in the end, it was Monika who made the sale, not just our numbers. We've worked with and/or interviewed several agents in the past, and I will say, Kayla is by far the most impressive. Here are some details about why: * She's like the Mary Poppins of real estate. Kayla Preston provided excellent service from the beginning of the process and continues to, well after closing. We highly recommend Kayla without any reservations. We sold and bought a home through Kayla and we have nothing, but the most positive things to say about her. Lara Young at Every Door Real Estate is AWESOME!!!!!!! I answered an ad via email, inquiring about a house in Seattle, while I was living in Palm Springs. Lara called me and asked about my needs. I explained that I was coming to Seattle in a couple of weeks and wanted to explore housing. I told her that my plan was to rent for a year before I bought anything. She said, "NO PROBLEM." We met and Lara spent several days showing me houses in the Seattle area. I told her that my husband was coming up and she offered to show him around also. I reminded her that I had no plans to buy for a year and again she said, "NO PROBLEM." A friend had recommended another realtor up here and when I contacted her and told her our plans, she said to contact her once we were really interested in buying a house. Lara was more concerned about establishing a relationship. We moved up here and rented a house in West Seattle. Lara would contact me periodically to see how things were going but NEVER pressured us. We had a FANTASTIC experience with The Every Door Team! Our agent's name is ADAM TREAT and let me tell you that he is by far an amazing person. What makes him an amazing person? Not only does he look at the present for what is best for the client, but he also makes consideration for what is the best for the client's future. Adam used his expertise and make throughout judgments based on whether the Condo is best for the customer in short term and including the long term. In terms of finance, Adam used every variable to speculate that in long term for that specific area the HOA fee would not immediately skyrocket and he is determined that the condo would continue to value high by year in the case when we sell in the future. Another factor why you should choose Adam as your agent is because he is knowledgeable in regards to how the interior house is in good condition or not. We tour one different condo and Adam was able to point out specific details on the interior condo which was poorly structured and painted. Thanks to Adam we avoided that one condo which was poorly designed and without him we would likely have missed these small detail and made a poor decision. Lastly why you should choose The Every Door Team and Adam Treat as your agent is because he gave us a list of reference to all other local company that deals with repairs in the future when something happens. He taught what to do and who to call for each thing if and only when something needs to be repaired in the future. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We worked with Harry Dhillon at Every Door Real Estate and he was incredibly professional and broke down each step of the home buying process at our first meeting. He was patient with our initial financing, and didn't wait to start sending us over homes to check out. Once our financing ran through we hit the ground running, and he setup several viewings all the way in Marysville even though he was based in Seattle. Our first offer was somewhat competitive, but was not accepted (due to the crazy marked and it going $100K over asking). However Harry was right back on the ball with making sure we knew there would be a home for us, and given we had about 2 months we were looking all over. We sent him a house we really liked and upon seeing it had passed the offer review date and was still listed, he reached out for us that minute and found there were no offers put on it. He let me know if we wanted this house we need to make an offer that moment, and after my wife and I spoke we agreed and asked him to draft the offer and move forward. I was wanting to offer more knowing the market, but he assured me at listing would be fine, and after following up they only wanted us to see the place before accepting, our offer was accepted on our way to see the home! We fell in love with it as soon as we stepped inside! They received several calls shortly after the offer was accepted regarding other offers, so Harry's quick response and dedication to helping us secure the home quite literally got us it by mere minutes, and he likely saved us a ton of money! We really enjoyed working with Jarrett Coulson, and this will be a 2 part review since we used him as our agent to sell our former townhouse and as the agent who helped us buy our new condo. Tldr: we really enjoyed working with Jarrett and would definitely recommend that others use him to help buy or sell a home. As a seller's agent: Jarrett was open and realistic with us when setting expectations for pricing, foot traffic and selling timeline. His team made our home look fantastic in their photos and we received a lot of traffic. He was a great communicator when acting as the intermediary between us and the agents/buyers coming to look at our home, and in keeping us up to date on the status of our home. He definitely went above and beyond a couple times to make sure we were able to sell our home. As a buyer's agent: Jarrett was patient with our difficult wish list and location preferences. He helped us talk through a situation whenever we were unsure about a place. And when we finally found our home, he was very helpful through the whole process, especially helping us sort out some issues we encountered with the sellers, and in negotiating. The only issue we encountered was a miscommunication as to our close date. The escrow and title companies were targeting the wrong close date since our contract said "no later than [X] Date" when X was actually a month after we wanted to close. We were luckily able to sort things out and close within our interest rate lock expiration. However, I commend Jarrett for asking for feedback after we closed and got the keys, and for being very receptive to us mentioning this. Kyle Grafstrom and The Every Door Team were awesome to work with! We are first time home owners so everything was new to us and of course we decided to make the plunge in one of the craziest markets (Seattle) during one of the craziest times. First let me say that Michael feels more like apart of my family now because of how kind he has been in the process of buying a home for the first time. Everything you can ask for in a real estate agent. At my request, we did most of our communications through Discord, with some emails being sent when needed. This made back-and-forth communication very convenient! I gave them my extremely aggressive parameters for what I was looking for, and they provided the best matches for what I sought. In the end, the house I went with was one they actually pointed me at twice, since the first time I rejected it as being too far away. As time went on, I loosened my expectations slightly, and that's when they pointed me at this house once again. They then worked with the seller's agent to find out the answer to any questions I had, and even found a better mortgage rate than I was otherwise able to find. The appraisal did take longer than planned, but it was still completed in time for the closing to happen without a hitch. Of course, they walked me through every step of the way! The only real problem I had is the difficulty with identifying all the potential problems with the location in question. For example, I wasn't aware of the fact I wouldn't have a mailbox next to my house until after I closed! Part of this is of course my own fault, and given how far away the house is from their normal operations, I still think they deserve a lot of credit on their knowledge of the area. Despite not knowing things outright, a lot of effort was made to find out things whenever possible. All in all, they did a very good job, and I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy a house. read more
