Quirky little thrift shop located near the ferry. They have a good selection for both men & women, as well as a floor for costumes. Was just there a few days ago & I found only a few items. There weren't many great options for women in my opinion, so hopefully they get some better clothing donations soon. Some items may be marked down depending on the color tag they have, and the staff is super cheerful!

The pieces are really unique and high quality. You won't be disappointed because there is very little digging. It's truly a gem.

Located in the working class…read moresection of Staten Island's North Shore known as Stapleton - 638 Bay Street, very near the Stapleton Station train stop and not far from the Ferry - the price range is "From two dollars and up," according to the manager. They have great hours too - well suited for working people. Closed on Tuesdays, they are open 11 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 11 to 6 on weekends. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the items for sale are just terrific. If you want a true antique that is unique and in great shape you may pay a couple of hundred dollars but not thousands. This is not a thrift store and yet it is affordable. What caught my eye were the two very large animals in the window display. Prior to the store opening I shot a photo of the window display, focusing on one of the creatures - this image was a very popular item on flickr. My photo wound up in the "In Explore" group which is a highly sought after honour. I generally get from 200-300 hits on an image and 8-10 favourites - the window display from Love Your Furniture got over 5400 hits and 67 faves. What was the item? A large, pink, jewel encrusted, bird or mammal of some sort. When the store opened I ventured in to see what the creature was - it, and the jewel encrusted golden giraffe that graces the other side of the window display, was apparently part of a carousel at one time. This truly unique item and many more diminutive but equally interesting items await the visitor at this gem of a store. In addition to antiques the store features handmade items by Yana, one of the owners - one such item is a gorgeous decoupage end table. If you are on the Island to check out our great street art - and Stapleton is the epicenter of this activity - stop by Love Your Furniture Again Antiques. Bring your wallet as there is literally something for everyone. If you are looking for something in particular, call the shop at 917.525.6686. Oh, BTW, they restore antiques too! Price tag is part of a trio of stores that sells off price boutique closeouts. The other two are Barney's bargain stores in Hillside and Bloomfield. They didn't call the Bayonne location Barney's because there was already another store called Barney's up on Avenue C. That store closed many years ago. Price tag and the other two locations have a rotating series of stock. Some weeks they have women's, some week they have men's, and sometimes they have Children's. You can get very expensive shoes and clothing at a discount.$200 SAS shoes? You can get them for $50 or less. They have lots of different brands and things change all the time. Sometimes, though, they get things that don't move very quickly. Today I saw some hilarious socks that were for New years 2000. Call them New vintage, I'm sure someone will pick them up. You can always count on Price tag when you need an evening bag, shoes, or a wallet. They tend to get a lot of those items. They are only open Thursday through Sunday. Some of the people who work there seem very disinterested, but the two Natalies who work on Sunday are the nicest. Check it out, you never know what you will find.

I bought a pair of earrings worth about 2.4k through TRR's New Jersey consignment store, and the shipment was handled by UPS. When the package arrived in my country, it was flagged by Customs due to an incorrect declared value. Instead of 200+ tax, I am being charged 2+k, because the value of the earrings was declared at 24k instead of 2.4k I have contacted TRR multiple times over two weeks, often during US business hours, which unfortunately fall in the middle of the night where I live. Despite this effort, the responses were extremely unhelpful. I was repeatedly told to "go back to UPS," even though UPS did not provide the declared value and cannot amend it without the shipper's instruction. TRR promised to correct the declaration, but no correction was actually made. This left me stuck going back and forth between TRR and UPS, with neither taking responsibility for resolving an error that I did not cause. UPS could not clarify who exactly provided the incorrect customs declaration beyond "TRR", and told me to go back to TRR. Customs also informed me that I cannot pay the duties first and claim later. The declaration error must be corrected by TRR, as they arranged the shipment and provided the declared value. As a customer, this has been frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing, especially from a company that deals in luxury goods and international shipments, where accurate customs documentation should be standard practice. This was supposed to be a Christmas present.

The greyish brunette woman, older in age, that I gave my donations to opened up the bins outside, dug through and picked out the worst items, including a clean pair of underwear to hold and shame up in my face in public like a dog and scolded me (my mistake, I missed some small items during sorting, but I don't think harassment is acceptable). The entire experience was humiliating and meant to humiliate. She rolled her eyes at valuables like designer shoes and large brass candelabras inside the bins. I had some heavier bins. Neighbors unrelated to this organization off the street helped me while this woman said "we don't do that here" (I grew up Christian, and these are not Christian values). She looked up and down at me and asked if I "even had children's clothes" and I said "I didn't think so." Whatever baby stuff was in there was high quality and unused. She locked eyes with me for a while scowling. She rolled her eyes later at the designer diaper bag with tag still affixed. I left crying. There are many other more reputable places in the area that are kind, more down to earth and cater towards middle-class clientele. I like the ones near Central Ave and the homeless shelter definitely needs goods. I recommend not going here and supporting this business. If you choose so, you put donations by their side door.

Thrifting already takes a long time searching for those hidden gems, but add unorganized clothing racks on top of that and it'll take forever. I quickly skimmed some racks and left because I just didn't feel like it was worth dedicating the time to. Luckily, I did find a brand new Fabletics bomber jacket with tags on it for $10. I also got a student discount so ended up paying $9 for it. I visited on Saturday, which is apparently student discount day. I've visited other goodwills on Saturdays and haven't heard of this discount, so I'm not sure if it's a universal thing. At this location there was also some fittings rooms and a mirror outside of the dressing rooms, in case you didn't want to go in. I'm not sure if there were mirrors inside the rooms as well. The most pleasant thing about my visit was the young woman working, it seemed she was the only one there because she was working the register and putting things away on the floor. I didn't catch her name but she had shoulder length brown hair. She was very kind and friendly, she let me know about the discounts that day, what color tag was on sale, and we talked a bit about thrifting. She was very personable and this really stuck out to me. Overall, I probably won't be visiting this location again but if you do, I hope you run into the nice girl who works there!
