After his COVID hospitalization, my father, in his 90's, needed full-time care. Through a referral, I contacted Mom's Home Care, and within a week they had arranged round-the-clock coverage with exceptional caregivers. The caregivers were reliable, compassionate, and attentive, providing outstanding care for my father. The case manager handled all logistics seamlessly, ensuring continuous coverage during vacations, illnesses, and unexpected situations. She was also a valuable source of practical advice throughout the process. As my father's dementia progressed, the team adapted to his changing needs and continued to provide excellent care all the way through to the end of his life including hospital stays and hospice care. Beyond the care itself, they were a calming and comforting presence for my father and gave me peace of mind when I wasn't there. Their care allowed my father to remain at home, which meant everything to our family. Thank you Mom's Home Care.

It was a stressful time as you can imagine. There are a lot of care decisions that need to be made and I had very little experience to fall back on. At the recommendation of a friend, I contacted Mom's Home Care. On that initial call they did a wonderful job explaining the process and answering our questions. Their guidance was invaluable and the care team they assembled was great. Thankfully, my dad is on his way to making a full recovery. The Mom's Home Care team was instrumental in making this possible.

Honestly, caregivers are truly angels on earth. We have been with Visiting Angels of Santa Monica for going on 4 years. It has been a journey finding the right caregivers for the level of care my mom needed while also finding a good match. Visiting Angels has been there with us the whole way. Our criteria is we need someone daily, we need consistency, and we need people who can do what is required. Visiting Angels has never let us down even when finding a replacement on short notice. It is miserable to have to go through this with our mother, but having Visiting Angels there with us has made a big difference.

We have been with Visiting Angels for five months, initially providing daily care for 8 hours each day. The office, Matt, and Renetta couldn't find reliable people to cover the shifts. Eventually, as the patient improved, they caused more problems than they helped. We reduced care to 20 hours a week, but they still haven't found dependable caregivers. During the first week of 20 hours, they had two people scheduled who had worked there before. On the first day of the new schedule, they sent a fill-in; the next day went fine, but now we learn another new person is scheduled for the third day. Frustrated, we canceled that shift. Two more shifts remain... Stay tuned for updates, but before hiring, ask plenty of questions, since we find it hard to trust what the office tells us. Be very clear what you need, make your expectations known, then wait to be disappointed.
