The good the bad and the ugly like the movie. Let's start off with the…read more GOOD Aesthetics are nice. Some "intitled clients" Many hard-working people are engaged here to look out for all us clients. THE BAD Lighting in the dining room is just way too bright. It is to the point that I have a difficult time eating meals in the dining room as I am light sensitive after eye surgery. Management do not care to do anything about it. I am a creature of habit and try and make it simple by ordering the same thing in the dining room every day for consistency. Some things like potato's being cooked the way that I like them with bell peppers, onions, and garlic are wonderful. Other items like chicken and fish mostly are overcooked and hard as a rock even though multiple times it has been discussed with no luck. Sometimes just the basic food is better than adding all sorts of sauces or international flair of calling items what they are trying to make them sound sophisticated. Sometimes the simplest things are not available that you would consider a normal kitchen to have a stock pile of, like hollandaise sauce or eggs Benedict, chicken fried steak, Chunky salsa or tomatoes and onions for vegetable omelette, steak and eggs for breakfast with gravy, did I mention biscuits and gravy would be nice once in a while sausage gravy/coffee gravy/anything with gravy. This is a company with their home office in Texas, other locations offered steak and eggs where this location does not. When they run out of items they did not substitute or contact you to recommend something. They just go without so what I've had to do is order additional food in anticipation of some items not making it. Most of my items come to my room for me to eat where I have somebody go down and pick it up at the kitchen. Food temperature has also been a problem. Some items that are hot come out cold some items that are cold come out hot. There is no rhyme or reason or stop gap to make sure these items go out the temperature they're supposed to. This is a major concern to make sure people don't get sick off of the food that is being served here. All right, I have come up with this to hopefully express the challenges that I have trying to have Belmont Village Westwood be the highest rated facility around. I know some people might not like what I have posted. This is for criticism to see if management can step up to the plate. and make Belmont Village Westwood the best facility around. I do know Rome was not built in one day. Let's see on 4 July if they could take the challenge. Going on three years of living here some things have changed. They have scaled back the different types of items in the kitchen. What used to be different pastries and items now are limited with in House cakes and pastries that are just not up to perfect standards. They have limited the fruits and vegetables claiming they had too much waste and availability. Multiple times I have had fresh fruit that has not been washed or have been mushy and Old. It is hard to keep track of everything like that. I do agree. It is not good though to send stuff out of the kitchen. That staff would not eat themselves. That brings up another item multiple times. I have asked staff to taste what they had served me which they would not do. They should not put anything on the table that they would not eat themselves. Consistency is very important, when management leaves the kitchen area all hell breaks loose and things go to pot. My recommendation would be keep management in the kitchen and dining room at all times or have one person who has. The authority to make executive decisions. If items run out, you should be able to substitute for something else of greater value. For instance you run out of chicken of the day, break out the salmon or the steaks. They use the saying " subject to change" well it seems like the kitchen does whatever the hell they want an items that you are expecting to be on the menu like rice pilof, Chinese peas, or potatoe wedges end up being something completely different. What is the use of having a menu if you're not going to stick to it. Why not just state " food Dejour" or chef surprise. Please stop burning and over cooking the mahi-mahi and salmon. A beautiful animal gave its life to be on a plate.!!! THE UGLY Answering the phone in the middle of the night to take care of anybody's emergencies is very important and does not get accomplished here. When you have your own private companions, the staff here at Belmont are two lax. They won't even empty the trash. Even being an ass multiple times to management staff do not pick up your trash multiple. Times a day. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job. Keep it up folks thank you. The maintenance staff do a wonderful job and are fairly quick. Transportation staff are wonderful even though they are shorthanded in vehicles at times. Best regards. Chris.

I stayed for lunch and was very pleased with the quality of the food. The director stopped by our table, I found him to be absolutely charming, he took the time to speak with me and answer some of my questions. I even had a moment to talk to some of the residents which has made me even more confident that moving in here is the right decision.

Our entire family couldn't be happier and we saw her thrive with the activities, friendships and found that when we dropped her back off from a day with us her friends were out on the terrace with wine and cheese calling they'd saved her a seat. It does our hearts good to know she is safe, well-cared for and surrounded with good food and people. Now with Covid-19, the Sunrise team has kept her safe, and balanced stimulating activities within stringent safety precautions and kept us up to date with all of their efforts so we're fully informed on testing, staffing and what the protocol is for families. We got a video call device from Alexa/Amazon and the staff actually helped her set it up so now we can "drop in" whenever she wants to chat with us face to face! LOVE Sunrise of Beverly Hills for all that they do and are. Part of our family!

The excessive billing, the cold-hearted treatment, the utter disinterest in the concerns I voiced - I still recommend that families do not put their loved ones here.

When we found Raya's Paradise, for the first time since my mother's illness began, I felt that she was finally in a place where I no longer had to worry about her health and/or security. Thanks to the caring, attentive and professional caregivers at Raya's Paradise, my mother's physical health has stabilized. The caregivers ensure that my mother 's daily hygiene is taken care of properly and that her mediation is taken regularly and on time. And even though the Alzheimer's disease is progressing, the caregivers at Raya's Paradise continue to provide my mother, along with the other residents, with personalized care and supervised group activities which are both engaging and fun. These activities, which also help my mother with socialization, include singing with guest musicians, brain stimulation games, painting and physical exercise. Thus far, not one resident has gotten sick from the Covid virus. During the state-ordered quarantine, while the caregivers are continuing to provide the residents with kindness and care around the clock, the administrators of Raya's Paradise have now provided each of the Raya's Paradise facilities with a dedicated ipad to be used for facetime between the residents and their family members. Believe me, I feel much better now, knowing that I can still speak with and see my mother during these stressful times. The administration of Raya's Paradise is made up of respectful, sympathetic, courteous and well-educated people who continually strive to do their best to make sure that their residents have the best and most up-to-date care. In fact, of all of the facilities I've looked at, none have matched the ratio of residents to care-givers at each of the facilities (2 caregivers for every six residents). But perhaps most importantly is the fact that everyone at Raya's Paradise is dedicated to providing my mother, and all of the other residents, with the dignity and respect that they so well deserve, in a clean, safe and healthy living environment. Thank you, Raya's Paradise, for caring and for the great work that you do!!
