I was waiting for Barbie to give birth while she was smashing up the house in a rage. She broke everything. In fact, everything broke, but her water never did. Everything But Water. This is an insanely expensive swimsuit store at the beautiful Quarry Market in San Antonio. They have a lot of sexy swimsuits here but a lot of them are over $100 for a bikini. My wife and I stumbled on EBW while at the Quarry. We are going on a cruise and she needed a bathing suit, but wasn't sure what to buy. Thank goodness for Vanessa. My wife just told V her sizes and likes and before you knew it, suits were flying into the dressing room. I don't think my wife had to do anything but try on clothes and model. It was a great experience for something that usually turns into a really bad ending (am I right men...lol). I just came from Everything but Water and I cannot say enough good things about the store, the service or our sales consultant, Vanessa. I don't have to tell most women especially, women over a certain age, how frustrating it can be to shop for a bathing suit. Vanessa made it an amazing experience... She greeted us with a smile, asked us what we were looking for...I explained by " dilemma"...she then asked my sizes, preferences, i.e. color, style, etc... and went to work pulling multiple suits.. the store was full of beautiful suits but I never dreamed so many of the would fit me!! But, every single one she pulled did and looked cute!!! We ended up purchasing 5 suits, 3 cover ups, 2 pair of shorts and a cute beach hat...we will definitely be going back!!! If ad photos actually indicate the product being sold, 70% of the companies in the US today (and 50% of all Groupons) are selling really, really toned female abs. I wish. Unfortunately, since that isn't really the case and I can't just by myself a pair of abs on demand, bathing suit shopping is something I approach with a lot of seriousness. Or so I thought, until I went to Everything But Water-- they are serious times two about bathing suit shopping. Like: By the time I left, I think the saleswoman had brought me over 20 bathing suits to try on. On the plus side, I think I ended up with a great bikini, and the saleswoman gave me very honest opinions along the way. On the down side, I think I spent my monthly graduate student-self food allowance on about two inches of fabric (the average bathing suit here will set you back about $120-150, although they do have a clearance section). I was struck with remorse the next day, and came thisclose to returning my bathing suit, till I realized that it was definitely worth $150 to NOT have to go bathing suit shopping again any time soon. If I do, though, I'd come here again. read more

I stopped in the store at the quarry last week. I'm 57 years old and going on a girls trip to Cabo and wanted a really nice suit. I carved time out of my day because I knew it would take awhile to find one. I was so blessed that Vanessa was working she was AMAZING! My experience with her was awesome. I told her my color "vibe" and that I was open to anything and she proceeded to spend over an hour with me to find the perfect suit! She was so patient and gave me such great feedback. I thought I would get a one piece but I walked out with two bikinis that fit me much better and I feel great in them! I called the store to ask if they will allow people to come in after 4:30pm because I was on the way and I knew I would arrive 30 minutes before closing and the lady said it would be fine as long as no one was in line. When I came inside the store I was greeted to " what are we looking for ladies" I said I was looking for a swim suit after which the employee said "well hurry it up because we close at 5pm" I then turned around and proceeded to leave. Very disappointed to say the least that I drove 45 minutes after work to come to this establishment to offer my sales and I was treated in this manner. I will not be returning. Came to this store 30 minutes before closing. I felt bad but Needed a suit bc my flight left for vacation at 630 the next morning. I was desperate. I figured I'd find something bc I'd bought a suit here before several yrs ago, still own it, still one of my favs, and still in good condition. The two ladies working that night were amazing. They asked me my size what type of suit and right away gave me 3-4 suits to try on. They also gave me their advice and brought different styles and sizes back and forth until I was sure with the suits I wanted. Now that I'm back from vacation I loved wearing the suits- great quality, colors and they fit great. They are pricey, but I know they will last me several years and I truly love them.
