And it used to be pretty busy with Teslas waiting their turn to charge up. Now there are 2 additional Superchargers nearby. The closest is 0.2 miles away near Chipotle and Crumbl (corner of Colima and Albatross), which helped ease the congestion. I still come here to charge up, because there weren't anyone else here charging. More available stalls to select from. Lighting is non-existent here, so illumination sources are from the two light poles closer to the mall. These Tesla Chargers are the older design, so does not have the more familiar and visible (at night) design we are more accustomed to in 2024. So might be a safety concern for some. Incidentally this mall parking lot was the spot where Doc Brown was gunned down by terrorists in Back To The Future. I had no clue the very first time I was at this mall to watch a movie. Anyway, it does what I need from this Tesla Charging Station, so 2 thumbs up from me.

The major department stores are still there, with the Macy's, JcPenney, and Nordstrom. There's also some of the original shops like LUSH, Abercrombie (though they've moved around a few times), Bath and Body, Hot Topic, etc. There's some new jewelry places and some other trinket stores. I saw something like build your own slime for like 30 bucks...what is that?! But yeah, a lot more boutique and random shops here and there. Parking lot is still packed like always, so people still enjoy coming here.

9-1-2026 It's my…read morefirst time here and my second time using EA. There are four spots here, and I waited maybe 30 seconds before a car left. It's not too bad considering that it's 9 PM. I'm using the Lyft discount, and I hope it renews after 2 years. I like that you can monitor everything through the app. It seems a little more modern than other apps like ChargePoint, EVgo, and Power Flex. However, I am sad that it only charges up to 85%. I'm getting less than 100kw, so I do wish it was faster...it kind of makes it unfair when it's slower during peak hours. Anyway, it is next to the 2 rows of Tesla superchargers and somewhat off to the side of the mall. But, can't complain because of the speed, and I'll most likely be coming here unless I find a better alternative! I didn't realize it slowed down significantly to like 6 kw after 80%, but it makes so much sense. That's good to know for when you're trying to time returning to your car near the end of the charge! This is also the first superfast charger with a cord/adapter that wasn't so clunky to put into the port. However, I don't like the holder because of how you have to angle it.

First time at this EVGo charging location. Busy on a Friday…read moreafternoon. Close to Korean market and Starbucks across the parking lot. Attempted to use Charging station Hoesung but was not working. Just about to give up when Charging station Tenya opened up. After a couple of hiccups, I called customer service. Hiccup being payment accepted but charging would not connect to EV. This happened about 4-5 times. Charging station Tenya finally worked with customer service having to remotely connect EV-payment-hard reset, so I was to charge for about 8-10 min. Just enough to get through an errand. Customer service was helpful to connect the car remotely. I have Hyundai 2022 Ioniq 5 and cost was around $9.71($0.43/kW + fees) 11 min of charging 18.6 kW delivered Max speed 97kW Why 4 stars? Firstly, I was in a desperate mode. I only had 22%/40 miles radius and I had one stop before heading home. So, I was happy that I got to charge without having to wait an hour at my free charging station EA. The one star deduction was for the pain of not connecting flawlessly and having to call customer service for assistance.

It's quieter and easier to get in and out of. They have 24 stalls here and they push solid power, so I've never had to wait for one to open up. Plug in and you're good without the usual full-station hassle. Plenty of options right there if you need to kill time -- H-Mart, food spots, Starbucks, even a Planet Fitness. Smooth experience overall and one of the better stops in the area. Highly recommend.

Although there are 3 locations for Tesla vehicles, which owners should use and not the EVgo public chargers. They have chargers they can exclusively use and Tesla owners still seem to use these too. Not frequently, but gosh darn, just be a considerate EV owner. There are times where I've had to wait up to an hour to get a charge, which is pretty rare, as long as you go on the app to see if they're in use. So 5pm on a Monday evening, there's 1 charger available. I haven't seen a steady or consistent timeframe when these are usually available, as my lease offers a complimentary 30-minute charge at another public charger. The area is a bit sketchy. But feel pretty safe locked up in my car. During daylight it is pretty convenient and safe. If you bank at Chase, it's obviously convenient. But don't go too late in the dark. I wouldn't want to be pulling money out of the ATM in the dark. Haven't had any issues with any of these chargers. At times, users may pull up behind users plugged into the 100kW ones and simultaneously use the other plug. I just don't think it's safe to do so, or even rated to be charging 2 cars simultaneously. Plus you pull away energy from the initial user that was plugged it. I'm pretty sure it slows down their charge. So don't do it. No matter how convenient it may be to you to get some juice into your car, it's inconsiderate and disrespectful for the initial user. Plus when the initial user is done, they would have to unplug too to get out of their way to keave. There are 2 plugs for the 350kW chargers, which are advertised as simultaneous chargers. I'm currently on one, and I was pulling as high as 180kW as a solo user on the charger. I went from 20% to 70% in 15 minutes!
