I'm using the Lyft discount, and I hope it renews after 2 years. I like that you can monitor everything through the app. It seems a little more modern than other apps like ChargePoint, EVgo, and Power Flex. However, I am sad that it only charges up to 85%. I'm getting less than 100kw, so I do wish it was faster...it kind of makes it unfair when it's slower during peak hours. Anyway, it is next to the 2 rows of Tesla superchargers and somewhat off to the side of the mall. But, can't complain because of the speed, and I'll most likely be coming here unless I find a better alternative! I didn't realize it slowed down significantly to like 6 kw after 80%, but it makes so much sense. That's good to know for when you're trying to time returning to your car near the end of the charge! This is also the first superfast charger with a cord/adapter that wasn't so clunky to put into the port. However, I don't like the holder because of how you have to angle it.

It's a lovely mall and they built a nice addition of an outdoor section of new stores and restaurants, so it's even nicer. You can do some good shoppng here. I like the variety of eateries at the food court. There are a couple of vacant spaces, so it will be interesting to see what comes next. However, it's quite crowded on the weekends, so don't bother coming on those days if you don't have to. In 2028, they will have residential apartments, which is what they've been doing at many shopping malls these days. That will bring thousands more people to the grounds. I personally wish they wouldn't build housing right at the malls.

It was still the best in its era back then, but it's still a reliable and good mall today. My latest visit was actually to Macy's, but decided to give the mall for a run. The major department stores are still there, with the Macy's, JcPenney, and Nordstrom. There's also some of the original shops like LUSH, Abercrombie (though they've moved around a few times), Bath and Body, Hot Topic, etc. There's some new jewelry places and some other trinket stores. I saw something like build your own slime for like 30 bucks...what is that?! But yeah, a lot more boutique and random shops here and there. Parking lot is still packed like always, so people still enjoy coming here.

But I'll put it here for you (source: Tesla's website) Select the SSID "#Free Simon Wi-Fi" (also referred to as a "wireless network name"). Once you are connected to the network, open your browser. A special welcome page will be sent to you that will allow you to get online. For restrooms, go to Macy's, food court, and my favorite would be Nordstrom but that's more of a walk. Lots of restaurants nearby, and nice to have Jamba Juice. Just nice to have a mall location to run errands.

Those tend to come out grainy, aggressively dark green, and honestly a little artificial-tasting to me. Little Ox is smoother and cleaner. You taste the tea, not a powder. The Genji matcha latte was my favorite. It's been sold out indefinitely, which I'm still a little sad about. These days I reach for the Okumidori matcha latte instead. My husband and my brother both usually order the brown sugar hojicha. Always with the salted cream top. We haven't found better versions of these anywhere else. It's also a great spot to work or study. Comfortable enough to settle in for a few hours. They carry nice merch too -- matcha sets, and recently Genji matcha tins if you want to make it at home. Highly recommend, especially if you've been disappointed by the trendier places.

So as for the quality of the charge, I got 42kW out of 50kW rated and charged my 2021 Leaf from 59% to 92% in 35 minutes. And that was great. Mind you, the other charging station, Trinity, has spotty performance, so this based on Seth (the chargers are identified by name). But the number of BEV haters out there and just plain ignorant people are another story. I've seen SUV's parked in the charging stalls and multiple people, including an elderly woman driving an ICE Hyundai just leaving their empty carts right in front of a charger. I pointed it out to the lady and told her I'd gladly move her cart and she replied, "I don't know what that means (meaning the charging station)." The Walmart staff didn't seem to care either because the carts blocking the non-BEV spaces were collected, but the ones blocking the charging stations were left behind... Haters? Ignorant? Maybe. Illiterate and can't read? Possibly. Convenient and quick? Definitely.

You don't hear that whirring noise as the fans turn on and the transformers engage. It's simply quiet. The displays are better, too. There are 5 spots and unfortunately, some of the patrons to the local businesses don't get the whole EV charging station parking thing... or they're haters. But for the most part, I was able to get a spot the 5 or so times I've been here and the charging is really quick and quiet. Word of caution, the chargers are in the Baskin Robbins parking lot... So while you're car is charging, you might be gaining calories, as well.
