The team at Evolution is excellent from dealing with Keith on the insurance processing to Tom as my PT and Joe assisting him.

I've never talked to the manager since he NEVER walks the club and avoids members interaction at all costs. But when I show up to find out the club is closed the rest of today and tomorrow for a special event without any kind of in club, online, or proactive text / email communication, I'm just done with these people who could care less about their members' wellness. Multiple witnesses came forward. I was assured it would be handled. It wasn't. The individual was allowed back into the club and continued spreading false, degrading, and misogynistic comments about me to other members and staff. Despite months of detailed reports to senior leadership and HR, Equinox took no meaningful action. Instead, I was met with delays, deflection, and ultimately told they "cannot engage" unless other members contact them directly. Translation: the victim does the work, the harasser faces no consequences. Even more disturbing, staff appeared to tolerate--or participate in--gossip, reinforcing a hostile and misogynistic environment. For a company that markets itself as inclusive and empowering, Equinox chose corporate protection over member safety. If you are a woman and expect to be taken seriously when reporting harassment, this is not the place.

None of these 4 options offered me the motivation or structure to keep my commitment for more than 2 months at a time. I've been an active Koko member - going 3-4 times per week -- for a year and it's changed my life. I've not only dropped 25+ pounds but I ran my first half-marathon in May. Strength training programs are individualized for you, and each machine will lead you through your customized workout. It IS like having your own personal trainer, but automated, which is even better! There are also 15 minute cardio programs (on both the treadmill and elliptical) that are both quick to do yet intense enough to give you a complete workout. And, for those of you who are driven by data, each member can log on and access their workout history, track their strength gain, eBMI, and lean muscle mass progress. Koko even offers nutritional planning and menu options, based on your individual profile. Oh, and the place is immaculate, the staff is supportive and friendly, as are the other members. If you're looking for a new fitness club that will keep you engaged while also fitting into your busy lifestyle (did I mention that I'm a full-time working mom of 2 little boys?!?), you should definitely head into Koko and check it out.

The workout room itself is more spacious than your average glass box setup you'll find in more OT locations; making it feel like it's own gym. The staff and coaches here are excellent, particularly Dana and Alice. They definitely make you feel like you're there to workout with them rather than just mindlessly be instructed. The way they run their classes really caters to pushing yourself instead of you just trying to keep with the vibe they set; something I'm not a huge fan at other locations. They both have a killer playlist too if you're more into rock while working out. Highly recommend taking a class Alice if you want the best first impression of Orange Theory.

There are a lot of personal trainers in our area, but if you go with someone other than Kyle at…read moreGOAT, you are really selling yourself (or your child, grandmother, husband, friend) short. I was pretty skeptical of working with a personal trainer. Outside of keeping me honest in actually completing my workouts, I didn't see a lot of value. But after struggling to meet a number of my fitness goals (marathon, sprint tri, olympic tri, general toning), I called up Kyle. I liked GOAT's approach to fitness. The whole philosophy revolves around combining Kyle's expertise in a wide variety of disciplines, including strength and conditioning and customizing training to each client. And he does his training outside the gym - huge plus for me because I generally hate the gym. Low and behold, during our first session, he 'diagnosed' my primary issue as weakness in my lower back muscles (he used the names of the real muscles, which clearly I don't remember). Kyle incorporated strength and weight training into my regular routine as well as stretching. He also helped me adjust my running stride to reduce impact on my shins and knees - leftover injuries from HS. I have improved not only my running time dramatically but reduced recovery time and have not had one injury since starting with GOAT. I have a race coming up in a few weeks and have never felt so confident! You can tell by the way he interacts with clients that Kyle genuinely wants you to succeed. He takes your goals and makes them his own. I've met a number of his clients through various events and we are all extremely different in terms of age, fitness level, goals, and abilities. Every single one of them has story after story about how Kyle literally changed their lives. Not only does Kyle know his stuff incredibly well, he is constantly learning and its not uncommon for him to send me journal articles, etc. that pertain to my training. On a more logistical note, you should know that Kyle caters every single thing to his client's needs - even training time. I have a rather unpredictable work schedule, and we sit down every week to plan where we can fit in our sessions. He shows up at my house as early as 4:30am and as late as 9:30pm - definitely not fun for either of us, but necessary to stay on track.

My fitness Goal, or should I say goals: wedding day arms, wedding day abs, wedding day back,…read morewedding day legs (even though no one will see them). Basically I wanted the best feeling wedding day body any bride could ask for or dream of. Oh and did I mention, I only had 30 minutes a day to commit to making it happen? Luckily, the combination of Kyle's passion to observe people attain maximum fitness levels and love for exercise showed up in my sunroom three mornings a week before work for six months. Every bride may procrastinate here and there or just wish for sculpted arms and a chiseled back. However, Kyle was the ultimate motivator on those mornings when the thought "no one will notice anyway" echoed as my alarm was blaring. Kyle's dedication to physical fitness and improving the physical fitness of others was evident during session one. His commitment to the profession is clear on paper when reading about his education and various certifications. His dedication and enthusiasm for his clients was clear during our individualized full body workout sessions. Kyle never brought the same routine twice, which made the session time fly by! The workouts were creative due to the current workout equipment such as, TRX bands, boxing gloves and mitts, medicine balls, bosu, and Olympic weights. In addition, after each session Kyle asked for my feedback on each exercise and was willing to adjust the workout routines based on my feedback. My criterion for mastery quickly increased in sets but I was getting stronger and my best was getting even better! I can't forget to mention the hilarious early morning conversations about his latest personal fitness adventures certainly kept a smile on my face while I did REAL push-ups! On my wedding day I put on my wedding dress and flexed my arms and back in the mirror and for my wedding party! (I couldn't help it!) Kyle's reliable, committed, and professional training sessions gave me the bride body that I dreamed of. Goal achieved! Next G.O.A.T Goal: Keep on running through life and run a 10k faster than I ever have in my life!
