Dr. Gay has been my physician for nearly 5 years. I am beyond impressed with the service he and Evolutionary Healthcare provide. I have always received same day or next day appointments for any non-routine medical need. All visits have started on time and I've never felt rushed. His office staff are polished, professional, and attentive. I greatly appreciate that Dr. Gay's office has an on-site lab (massive time saver). I also appreciate the patient portal where you can make appointments, view your lab results, view your prescriptions, ask questions, etc. On two separate occasions, Dr. Gay needed to refer me to a specialist. Both times he pulled out his phone and called the specialist's office right then. Not only was I floored that he personally made the call, but he also arranged appointments for that day! One of the occasions was more urgent and Dr. Gay and the specialist communicated back and forth several times before I was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Gay even called me directly to ensure that I got to the hospital. Dr. Gay has proven to me that he truly cares about me as a patient and as an individual. read more

Dr. Gay and Dr. Osborne are both fantastic, thorough, and compassionate. I'm not 100% pleased with an interaction with one particular person at the office who was unprofessional and rude, but I'm very grateful for the doctors and nurses/medical assistants. Dr. Gay always gives an appropriate amount of time and I think he really listens. I've been sick now for just shy of 2 weeks and he did blood work and testing that InstaCare didn't, so I'm glad that I'll be getting answers/more info soon if nothing else! read more

I got the runaround from office staff for 3 days and was made to feel like a criminal for trying to get a refill on BCP's while I waited for an appointment- I signed up for the first one available!! I asked to have the dr call me, never did. I do not feel confident that this dr's office has my interests in mind. I certainly do not feel comfortable with them helping me make MY life choices. Dr. Gay is a great Dr. and he always asks lots of questions and is very thorough.

Told me my frequent vomiting, fatigue and pain was anxiety and depression. Rudest bedside manner and a staff who I heard talk shit about me right outside the door. Years later my new doctor found that my stomach is paralyzed (gastroparesis) and I'm b12 deficient (b12 rebuilds nerves.) We are digging for more underlying causes for nerve damage. Finding a true diagnosis is a long journey for anyone, but if Dr Carol listened to me, I could be years closer to relief. read more

I also appreciate that she suggested lifestyle changes rather than just treating my symptoms with prescription drugs. He not only taught me valuable educational knowledge, but more importantly he taught me how to be an empathetic healthcare provider. I have been going here for years, and every time I hope my experience will be better than the last. I always feel as though I am treated as a criminal trying to get my prescriptions refilled. I have been "squeezed" into the schedule only to be told to pee in a cup and test for a UTI in the waiting room with other patients because "isn't that what I am in there for?" purely because I had come in ONE time previously for a UTI, that wasn't even a UTI.... The nurse assumed I was there for a UTI, rudely in front of others when in actuality I was there because I had pneumonia. The final straw was when I came in for my yearly physical, and when asked if I had any health issues that had been bothering me and I said yes I have been having migraines. The response was "we can't discuss both today so would you like to have your physical or talk about your migraines" confused, I said um okay I will talk about my physical since I need my prescriptions renewed which is why I came in the first place. I was told the migraine appointment required an extensive work up...so reluctantly I made an appointment for the next business day feeling as though a migraine sort of related to my overall physical health. I show up for the "extensive" migraine appointed to be told I have stress induced migraines, which I already knew.. the appointment lasted all of about 10 minutes. I left feeling as though I had been tricked into coming back only so I could be charged for another visit. I always leave the office feeling worse than when I came in because I feel like I have been treated as though I am making up symptoms to get prescriptions, or I am in there when I shouldn't be in there, or that I am wasting the time of the dr and nurses. One nurse in particular is so rude, judgmental, and has the worst bed side manners. I will never go back to this office and I feel sorely disappointed every time I visit, which is not what you want out of a doctor visit. read more

I made an appointment and when I arrived (after rushing through 700 East weaving in and out of traffic to make it there on time), they told me that my appointment was for the next week (not the day I arrived). That was NOT what I was told when I made the appointment. Needless to say, it was a waist of time due to a mistake on their part and they didn't even offer an apology. The. Worst. medical experience in my life. SITUATION: Regular physician is on vacation for a week. NEED: Prescription refill Reason for Visit: Seeing Dr. Bell on behalf of my regular physician's absence (same clinic; Evolutionary Healthcare) EXPERIENCE: HORRIBLE bedside manner, waited 45 minutes only to hear her and her office assistant talk about me outside the door in a negative, disrespectful, accusatory manner. To then be welcomed for the first time by Dr. Bell with not a hello, but a list of interrogating questions, assumptions, scenarios of how I manage to come up short 7 days worth of medication before my next prescription refill; Therefore, I shall be addressed as a drug seeking addict, criminal, liar and this is my favorite "irresponsible." Why? Because after answering a list of interrogating questions of how I take my meds (key word here, interrogating) I'm apparently all of the above and irresponsible because I don't keep my pills in their bottle and put them in a tray with other daily medicines, vitamins... UM. WHAT. Hello nice to meet you too. How about "Hi how are you? I'm Dr. Bell. So what is it that you're here for today?" During this verbal one-sided accusatory and a whole lot of assuming, theorizing, telling me who and what I am, I politely and calmly interrupted on several different occasions with "I don't appreciate the way you are speaking to me or at me." "You're bedside manner is awful right now." To telling her, "If I'm ahead of being able to get a refill, which the pharmacy WILL NOT fill until the date on the script, you could have respectfully and constructively told me this and you're legally held to not being able to help me and then try to work together to come up with a solution." Instead of having the same questions and response to NO MATTER what I said of "where are they? ...They have to be somewhere?" WOW. IN SUM, I was labeled and judged before the woman had even laid eyes on me. read more

Dr. Gay has been the best. I've had some pretty intense medical emergencies that have resulted in me leaving his office straight for the Hospital. He took the time to call & be the one to deliver the news to me vs the radiologist whom I had never met. He followed up & checked on me at the hospital & touched base with the doctors providing me care there. He's easy to talk to and be 100% honest with. It doesn't hurt the office feels more like an art gallery than a stuffy medical office. I've also seen the other doctor in his office & she was great as well. I went for a checkup and the Dr did not even take my vitals. She prescribed a high blood pressure medicine and send me on the way. The Nurse took my blood pressure before that. The Clinic however charged my Insurance Company for a full checkup. The medicine made my blood pressure even higher and I called the LDS Hospital ER and was told that his is a rare side effect for this drug and to stop taking it immediately. I also called the Pharmacist at the Avenues Smith and was told the same. I called the Clinic and left a message for the Dr and she called me back FIVE days later and told me to just keep taking the medicine. I am deeply disappointed because I left my Dr because I thought a smaller Clinic that prides itself of Patient Service would be better.
