Patients (many wheelchair bound) move throughout the facility as well as outside freely and cheerfully often greeting visitors along the way. The OT and PT professionals are second to none as they provide ongoing care and attention to patients and advice to family members who may be caregivers once patients leave the facility. My young daughter who was apprehensive about being there among seniors as she recouped from major foot surgery formed friendships with some of the seniors and learned from their experiences and wisdom. What a rewarding experience for her!

I had 2 visits and…read moreat no point during the first visit did they say they would not bill my insurance when they had the information and said they take it. At 2nd visit I was excited to finally get the knee brace I should of had since I left physical therapy rehab over 2 months ago but then was told my insurance would not pass it, it would be a waste of time to try, I should self pay or go to blue ridge independent living to get a loan for around 1200 dollars. (I could go through the seller directly for less) After talking with my PT and doctors I asked them to try and file through my insurance they said no, my insurance representative called them and verified with billing code it would be covered and they told her she was wrong and refused bill through insurance. What I have gathered is they do not like the contracted pay they get through my insurance and put that above providing me with care.

All it does is keep me on hold between 18 to 30 minutes and that is very frustrating. No patient wants to wait 18 to 30 minutes on hold just to set up an appointment when somebody could've easily answer the phone. I don't live near location to just pop up at the office so I have to call in order to set up an appointment. I've heard great things about this office but the way this experience is making me feel like maybe I should choose a different location. This is definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

There has also been little to no explanation of what is going on, even when asked. We have been given very vague answers. They were a little bit quicker to communicate with us in the beginning when wanting to set up testing AKA get our money. Still has yet to provide an explanation of test results after multiple messages asking (all appears to be fine from what we see on the portal - guess since they can't get more appointments and money we no longer matter). Current doc does not appear to have reviewed past medical records and took them into account when recommending a bone marrow biopsy. Disappointed that the nurse was congratulating the doctor for performing 2 biopsies in one day. Beginning to feel like my husband was put through unneeded testing to meet some twisted quota. I was sent here after having my broken back operated on. The place and the grounds are lovely; the…read morepeople are very nice and polite, but it is understaffed! Nurses were just not available, so I couldn't even get a bandage changed until I waited for several hours. My wound became infected. The staff tried hard, but there were just not enough of them! I turned on my buzzer to call for assistance - FOUR HOURS later, someone came. They just have way too many beds for the number of staff they have. (I saw one doctor, passing by, one time!) It could be a very nice place if they either decreased the number of patients considerably, or increased the staff.

The staff they have on hand is incompetent, rude to the patients and their families and is always short staffed. And good luck getting your medications in a timely fashion. The rooms to the facility are always messy and if they are ever cleaned, it's done half assed.
