Following a review and tests of back pain, I was given a set of leg and hip stretches that eliminated the pain. So I know as fast talker when I hear one, so I was pleased with what I saw and heard while being helped today. We spent about $130 for each pair of shoes and $50 for the orthotics - very reasonable. I HONESTLY feel like a major reason why I had such an easy and natural labor and delivery is getting adjusted that morning. I really feel like occasional chiropractic care massively changed my life with getting rid of back pain. I tried self medicating myself through videos online with physical therapy but it wasn't cutting it. I looked online and saw this place was rated very well and decided to give them a try. I arrived today at the Bonsack location and was not able to be seen due me not having a referral from when I saw my doctor back in December. The issue boils down to a lack of communication through appointments because I was never notified to bring that information. The only information they said I could bring if I could get it was my X-Rays from my shoulder area but if not they would reach out to Carilion and get them. I had already taken time off from work to be seen today and I'm told that I have to reschedule until I get a referral from my doctor. I just don't understand for the price that I would've paid to be seen that someone on your end cannot reach out to my physician and confirm the validity of my statements.

I went in to pick them up and one of the receptionists (far right) claimed she called and left a message. Funny to find out I pulled my verizon call history and had no missed calls from them, although she insisted she did it. Turns out the system lost my x-rays so they were willing to work with me and scanned me again. When I went back into the room they had me marked down as my right foot although I've never had issues with the right and when I went, my left was the only one evaluated. They did the scans and told me to wait back in the waiting area. The entire time I was waiting, the same receptionist was making sly comments about it being my right foot and that it even said that in the chart. I'd understand if my right foot was affected in the past but it's always been my left so that must've been the nurse/Drs mistake which is a common mistake when charting notes. I tried to stay friendly and even told them to have a nice day when they handed over the disc and the receptionist just said "uh huh" as I said it. I honestly don't know how she is staffed at the face of the office. She is very unprofessional and unpleasant. Definitely doesn't have patient care in mind. Will never go back there and will steer people away. It doesn't take much to just be a nice person.

I can say the injury was not only the source of intense pain for me but also taught me to be patient as well as serving up a healthy dose of humility! The therapists that worked with me provided not only the health and physical support I needed but also counselled/advised me with long term exercises that will assist me for the years to come. I regained 80% of mobility and most of my strength back in my dominant shoulder/arm when the initial assessment was hopeful for a 50% return in mobility. I will forever be grateful for the therapists who helped me recover and am now able to lead a life with very few limitations! My experience with Ortho Virginia was very positive.

The worst healthcare experience for the simplest of procedures that I've ever had. I get Durolane…read moreinjections in a knee. I ve been getting them for 3 years. The injection was ordered. After not hearing from them in a week I called and asked the status of my injection. I was told Humana had not authorized the shot. Boldly I asked them the reference number on the order and called up Humana to see why the shot had not been approved. I talked to a Humana pharmacist and was told they do not require prior authorization for my injection. I called Ortho back and the surgical med nurse told me share would check to see if it was there. Then called me back. Waited all day. Abby never called me back. Before closing called back, Destiny patched me to Abby. Abby said she never called me back b/c she couldn't find out if the injection was actually there. This time she promised me she'd call me back. It's been 11 days since my initial appointment. My knee, guess, still hurts, and I can't even find out if my injection has been ordered. I asked them once why they couldn't keep the injections in stock. Durolane. I was told it was an expensive injection and the shelf life was very short . I looked that up and found out the shelf life is 2 years. Don't tell me they have 6 doctors who see up to 50 patients a day, and they can't find another patient to give a Durolane injection to. Within a 2 year period. You call over there and an A I Bot takes over. I've been put on hold for over 30 minutes 3 times. Bottom line it's going on almost two weeks and they can't tell me anything. I was patched through to the fourth person once, and still didnt get answers. If you talked to for example Lori, and then request Lori again, you get put on hold and then you will wait 30 minutes, if you then opt to leave Lori a message, you get an answering machine saying that your return call would come in 24 to 48 hours. So already you are pushed out another 1 or 2 days. I completely see why they receive an average of 2 stars but I can't go that high. My experience has been one star.

There has also been little to no explanation of what is going on, even when asked. We have been given very vague answers. They were a little bit quicker to communicate with us in the beginning when wanting to set up testing AKA get our money. Still has yet to provide an explanation of test results after multiple messages asking (all appears to be fine from what we see on the portal - guess since they can't get more appointments and money we no longer matter). Current doc does not appear to have reviewed past medical records and took them into account when recommending a bone marrow biopsy. Disappointed that the nurse was congratulating the doctor for performing 2 biopsies in one day. Beginning to feel like my husband was put through unneeded testing to meet some twisted quota.
