The front desk nurses are real friendly. Waiting room is a tad small. They try and fit you last minute for emergencies but don't always count on it. Because I have a chronic condition that affects many different areas in my body, I require a lot of specialized medical care. I have seen positions in many departments and I have had testing done in several areas. While I have experienced a couple of bad eggs, the vast majority of the MetroHealth positions, nurses, and other medical providers have been professional, excellent at doing their jobs, and compassionate. Let's face it - healthcare is a tough industry to work in and being a patient isn't exactly a piece of cake either. The pandemic only made it harder. However, I have consistently received good care (as has my spouse) regardless.

From our first visit to our last, my son was in great hands. Kelly was our main OT and was amazing with both of us. He was always happy to visit -we drove 40 min each way to see her - and the staff was always friendly, the office always clean. We were provided several photos, diagrams, measurements, etc over our course of treatment so we could watch our son's head progress and the technology was just amazing to help my husband and I see/understand. As for the helmet itself, my son never seemed to mind it. It was lightweight and was only worn 2-3 months. We joked that it protected him from bumping his head several times so perhaps we should just let him wear it permanently. :) I'm the type of mom who is very picky and researches everything for her son, and despite that, I would happily recommend Cranial Technologies in Cleveland to any parent! And ask to see Dr. Kelly. You won't be disappointed. :)
