He will either see me or get back to me via MyChart messages right away. If he's out of the office, another provider will take care of me. I mean, what can you say about a doctor? He's caring, gentle, he listens, he works with me and my specialists on my myriad of medical problems. He tells it like it is, he won't sugar coat. So if you're looking for a doctor to coddle you, it's not Wu. Though, this isn't to say he's a mean, crochety type that'll yell at you if you didn't renew your prescription or lose that weight. But he will bring it up. The only bad thing is, he's so good that he's pretty full. Sometimes you have to wait awhile to get in. And he's not always accepting new patients. Though, for me and a co-worker he took a family member when we mentioned it.

She always listens to all my questions and hasn't steered me wrong medically. The problem is the office staff/management. The wait times have gotten progessively worse since I started coming to this office. The typical wait time for me, even when an appointment is scheduled well in advance, is upwards of an hour to an hour and a half. Forget getting in if you are sick. They never have afternoon appointments available and I usually have to take vacation time off of work to come smack in the middle of the day. Which is pretty frustrating because with the wait time, actual appointment, and commute, that's 2-3 hours off work. For the last non emergency appointment I had to make it took them 3 weeks to fit me in for a 10:40 appointment. The office staff is flakey. They have made mistakes with not calling in prescriptions on time or not calling back when I have left messages for the doctor. I may end up changing physicians over this. Which is a shame, since I like her but the office staff is impossible to work with.

I came to realize then that she doesn't really care about women and would rather potentially force someone who can't afford to buy the pill OTC into an EXTREMELY unwanted pregnancy that would completely destroy their life rather than give them the emergency contraceptive they need. It's not your place to force a child on someone who REALLY doesn't want to have one ever. I thought it was against a doctors oath to refuse care and be biased.

I felt so disgusted by the lack of care and concern... total disregard for me as a human being!

I got an opening within 12 hrs of when I saw my GP, so I took it because it's a difficult specialty to get in with! So, I didn't have time to do a thorough research on her, which I do for any other doctor I see. Firstly, she was nearly an hour late. OK, that was annoying, but I understand shit happens. The MA or LPN, whomever took me back and did vitals was very short with me, and wouldn't let me talk without interrupting me and trying to correct me on what symptoms I was describing! When the doc came in, she did apologize for being late. Like I say, things happen, so the apology was nice.But her exam was minimal, and she seemed very dismissive of my pain. She told me that whatever was going on wasn't very severe and I shouldn't really worry about it, but just in case she was going to do some blood tests and xray. The blood tests came back normal (which she even said could happen even with disease states) and the xray showed minor problems. Well, long medical story short, she dismissed me and my pain. When I wrote to ask he what I can do, in the absence of abnormal test results she just told me to make an appointment, we can discuss further. I decided to research a new doc, and will have waited 5 months by the time I see the new doc. Not gonna waste my time or money on someone who didn't seem to care much at all about me.
