I went to Executive to get an inspection sticker on my van, that I had just bought from some guy. I knew I was gonna fail, because I had my service engine light on, and didn't know why. So, they inspected it, failed it and expained why. so,I told them the situation, how I bought it, how this and this happened and what not. So, Chad came out with a big smile and said "I CAN HELP YOU!!! I'm willing to work with you to get this and that fixed, come in tomorrow, get tires, and we can talk about getting everything else fixed and prices for it all!" Of course at first I was a little nervous, because I've been to shop, where they screwed me over, lied to me, or said i needed to replace such and such, when it didn't need to be replaced. Well, one thiing that made me have some trust was, while I was waiting, some guy had come in to pick his car up, after have some belts and whatever replaced. Chad came out with the old parts and said "Just so you know, this is what we replaced, this is why, and I kept these so you could see why they were replaced." That really impressed me, because I've never seen anyone do that. So they next day, they called me with a very reasonable price on tires, I was in that afternoon to get the put on. The price was VERY good and I was very pleased with the quick service. And I've gone back a few different times for a few different thing and I'm so HAPPY with their service. I would also suggest buying a car from them. They also just recently sold a car to my bestfriend and granted there has been a few things wrong with the car, he has been right on it! She calls to say it's doing this or that, or she brings it down, he orders the parts, and they're in. The battery she had died and Chad went out of his way, drove to her house jump started her so she could get to work and said to call if it happened again. When she went on break, tried to start it, it wouldn't start. He showed up with a new battery and put it in for her, right in the parking lot at work. I'm very pleased with Chad, Justin and Adam over at executive. Their waiting room is very comfortable too! Not only is it comfortable, but its so nice to see the amount of people that come in and leave saying "thank you soooo much! I appreciate your help!" These guys are simply amazing. My wife and I had gone here many times over the past couple years. Seemed to be nice people. Then, I went for this year's sticker. I failed for front tires and license plate. The tires were understandable; actually they were still legally roadworthy because they were about 1/16" before the wear indicator. But I was planning on changing them soon anyway. The old style green MA plate I have didn't look so bad to me. After reading up on the state law for plate requirements, it states that it must be legible from 60 feet away. I went to the registry to see why there would be a problem and was lucky enough to see a registry officer in the front area. Long story short, he looked out the window and read my plate from well over 60 feet and said that it looked fine. So, after my tires had been replaced, I called Executive to talk with the owner that I had spoken with before. I asked if he would reconsider the plate after telling him about the registry officer's opinion. He almost instantly went into screaming mode. I was just trying to have a conversation, while he was yelling about protecting his inspection license and whatever. I told him that he would no longer have my business and it basically got to him saying, "you wanna talk tough? Come down here and..." and other threats. Seems more like he wanted to "talk tough". I simply tried to resolve a situation that seemed like it was his opinion over the word of the law. After screaming continuously about how he "didn't need my business" and "he didn't have time for this *%$", I asked "but you have time to scream and yell about it?". To which he replied "come down here and I'll show you what I have time for!". I had read a similar on-line review about the owner being a hot head, but didn't really believe that these guys, who were always very nice before, would act like that. Now I understand. Anyway, will never be going back to this jackass and would advise the same to anyone and everyone. read more

EXECUTIVE AUTO is "BOMB DIGGITY" My experiences with Executive Auto and Chad are VERY different from the other reviews posted on Yelp. The mechanical, sticker, sales and customer service I have recieved at Executive Auto over the past few years has been OUTSTANDING. Our family has purchased a used car from Chad, gets our stickers, tires, mechnical work and oil changes at Executive. In fact since we are regular customers Executive staff offers me rides to and from the garage. On two instances when my car was making an odd noise I drove it to Executive and they made a minor repair at no charge. Chad has helped with other automobile related concerns for me. I have called to ask how to correctly sign over a car title to a family member and get it reregistered correctly. In my opinion this goes way above and beyond the scope of Auto repair. This is about small community business helping community members and why I choose to give my business to small local independent businesses. How we all as people interact with each other sets the tone. Chad at EXECUTIVE has always stood behind his business with fairness to our family. Inspection Services are state governed and Chad put his business on the line every time one is done. He has to follow rules. Asking nicely, listening to answers with understanding will get you far in life. It is my experience that Chad likes to help people. Chad and the team at Executive Auto have been providing nothing but the best service to my family for many years now. Any problems that I may have with my car, Chad and the mechanics at Executive Auto are quick to resolve the problems and make the repairs in a timely manner, all while being very reasonably priced! I refuse to take my car anywhere else. The only thing that I don't have them do is my oil change (because I do them myself). If I had to get it done, I would certainly go to Executive Auto over any of the chains, i.e JIFFY LUBE (They tend to half-ass the job, they put just 1 quart of oil in my car the one time I didn't change my own oil and almost caused my car's engine to seize). If you want your motor to seize, go to Jiffy Lube. If you want your car to ride like brand new and feel comfortable with the people working on your car, go to EXECUTIVE AUTO! They are the BEST at what they do! Chad is a well respected business owner in the town of Bellingham and his work speaks for itself. He is a great guy and will go out of his way to make sure that you are happy with the work done. Any negative review on this site that I have seen, seem to be out of spite and not factual. We have been dealing with Executive Auto since they opened. The owner, Chad and his employees have always been courteous and professional!!! We go there for everything from inspection stickers and brakes to major repairs and servicing. We also had our SUV reconditioned there and they did a fantastic job. We trust them not only with our personal vehicles but with the company vehicles as well. I have a full warranty on my vehicle and can go to any garage that I would like to have my repairs done, but I always go to Executive. They are local and quick. I dropped my car off for a window regualtor and an alternator and it was done the same day. I dropped it off before work in the morning and picked it up on my way home. I find their prices to be very reasonable for inspection related items such as bulbs or wipers, which I had replaced there as well. Not to mention that the building has nice appeal now that it is owned by Executive. That place was so run down years ago. Now it looks great on the outside and has a nice waiting area for customers. I've had three excellent experiences with Executive Auto. When my car broke down because of a faulty battery and alternator, Executive was able to repair it that very day. They were very quick and prompt in solving the problem, and even gave me a free oil change for all my trouble. They also noticed that there was a pipe under my car that needed replacing. To replace the entire pipe would be very expensive, so they recommended I only replace a part of it, which all worked out perfectly and saved me money while still keeping the car in very good condition. When I brought my car to be inspected, the inspection were quick, and they only recommended my windshield wipers changed. When my engine was failing because of some blown cylinders, Executive was able to see my car instantly, the very day, and quickly diagnosed the problem. The repairs only lasted an hour and a half, and the car was in perfect condition again. The staff at Executive are very friendly. Chad, the owner, is willing to work with you to get the car running in great shape. He treats his costumers well, so I'll be sure to go to Executive for all my auto-problems and inspections. read more

Total hack-job and a mean Jerk! Took my car here for a basic tune-up. Dropped off and picked up after a couple hours and was happy. That is, until the next morning - As I was driving to work I heard a big clunk sound and then felt a vibration in the steering wheel. When I got to work I looked around and under the hood. I don't know how these numskulls did it, but they left my old air filter in the engine compartment and when it fell, it must have wedged itself between the radiator fan and engine. I found most of the filter shattered and in pieces and one of my blades on my radiator fan was bent and cracked. The fan is what was causing the vibration. Next day I went to talk with the shop and the owner almost jumped down my throat arguing that there was no way that that could have happened because of them. The guy wouldn't even let me get a word in and wouldn't shut up. He basically called me a liar and told me not to come back. I usually do my own tune ups & know that it was their fault. Now I have to fix a $130 fan. HACKS!! read more

Whether, Preventive maintenance or intensive and ALWAYS was no hassle and taken advantage of because of my ignorance in automotive knowledge. I really don't understand all of the negative reviews here. For the past 5 years, I've had both my cars serviced here- from oil changes, to inspections to mechanical work. The work is always performed on time and at the quoted price. And yes, before I have any work done, I get the quote and shop it around... the work estimates have never been out of line with the other places. This morning I picked up my Honda Pilot that just had 4 new tires, an alignment, timing belt and serpentine belt. They had committed to having the work done today, but when I called yesterday to see if it could be done sooner (snow coming), they stayed late last night and finished the work. This morning I woke up to an email from Chad (the owner), letting me know I could pick it up this morning. Again, nothing but good things to say about this repair shop AND its ownership. read more

The Best in Bellingham. WeI have lived in Bellingham for 23 years. I have had experience with most auto repair shops and find Executive Auto-Center the best of the bunch..... 'hands down'. We brought our car back after about a year due to a faulty tire purchased with a complete set at Executive. Executive Auto, rather than just replace one tire... replaced them all. Both our cars are serviced there. Five stars for that alone. He didn;t have to do that. Most places would not. Executive Auto even replaced a faulty alternator purchased from Charlie's Tire as they couldn't find a problem after more than one attempt. ....Luckily the part was warranteed and Executive auto went the extra mile and replaced part. I dropped my car off for repairs at another repair center. When I got "the call" telling me what was wrong and how much it was going to cost, I was in shock -- especially since they had just repaired my car for a different problem a couple of days ago. I decided to get another opinion and took it to Executive Auto. Not only was the cost lower, but they also gave me options on different ways they could do the repairs. (the car is old and I didn't want to sink a lot of money into it since I am probably going to get rid of it in a year.) So I brought my car in and it was repaired the same day and clean when I got it back. They even put on a new inspection sticker that was going to expire in a couple of days without me having to ask. I brought my Chrysler Town and Country in for brakes. They repaired the brakes and said they special ordered ceramic parts that were better and lasted longer. Shortly after I noticed a loud clanking noise, audible to everyone around. When I brought it back they test drove and heard no noise. I took it to Sullivan Tire to find parts were not secured after the brake install. Now 3 months later my brakes are squealing and grinding. I brought it back and they again test drove and rudely explained that they heard no noise. They were unprofessional and rude. Just took the car to a local reliable company used by my employer to find I need new brakes and rotors and the parts used by Executive were not as they said and actually very cheap. These people are rude and do not tell the truth. Please take caution and avoid. read more

Chad is always up front with me and does his best to give me the best service possible. I purchased a nice Toyota Corolla from executive Auto Center. It had some small issues with the car. Chad the owner reassured me all would be fixed before I take delivery. Everything he told me was done to the car and his word was good. A week later I had a bigger problem with the car. I call Chad up and told him about it and he said bring the car in, he had a great attitude. He had to order the part first. He fixed the problem a brand new gas tank. Recently had some work done on the suspension of my 2004 F150 at Executive Auto and as the work began for worn part Chad and his well versed mechanic found several problems that were all connected to worn parts and worn tires on the inner tread. I was well informed and advised on what should be done. Being a former mechanic they were on their game and were very thorough. Price for parts and labor were more than fair and had a great experience with the shop. I have had nothing but great service and hospitality from each and everyone of the people there and being a woman sometimes you can be taken advantage of but they have never done that to me they are straight forward and have always found solutions that fit my budget. I stopped in Executve auto today because I had a headlight out. I asked what they would charge to replace it for me. I already had the bulb. The owner took the car in and asked his guy how long and then told the guy to do it. I asked him how much it would be and he said no charge. He didn't have o do that for me.
