OK, no problem - we reschedule. On the morning of appointment, he called and wanted to reschedule again as the ground was wet and needed to be trenched. I told him I really needed it completed, so he sent out one of his guys. He didn't have to trench like we originally thought, and work was completed. I had them do additional work to get shed up fully up to date with code, and work itself was clean and neat. His billing is fraudulent. He overcharged me over $400 from his quote for that part of the work. His tech was originally overcharging me over $1000 more, until we called and he recalled his quote to me, but still tacked on these extra charges. Then I'm told it's a 3% CC charge and when I finally got the invoice, they charged me 4%. And then his original quote was trenching the 15' or so, and the line was in conduit they just had to pull through? I called Danny several times and left messages, and texted him several times over the following few weeks, and no courtesy of a reply or callback. I filed a complaint with BBB and he didn't respond to them either. So disappointing that he ripped off a senior. Shame on me for not getting it in writing ahead of time. But there's no possible way I can misunderstand his statement of "All the pool work and retrenching and replacing wiring to the shed, $975, or if we have to retrench to the house it'll be $1875." Then to refuse to adjust charge, let alone respond to calls, texts, or BBB complaint? Horrible business practice and would not recommend.

I'll be upfront, I'm quite OCD when it comes to how things are done, and that has caused friction with tradespeople in the past. Not with Electrix. They took their time, were meticulous in how they carried out the job, and made sure everything was done neatly and properly rather than rushing through it. That attention to detail meant everything to me and is honestly rare to find. On top of that, their pricing was fair and in line with what other electricians in the area charge, no nasty surprises on the invoice. You're getting quality work at a competitive, reasonable rate. This past time we had them out, our washer died and we think it's from a power surge we had from a downed power line about 2 weeks ago. I was able to get a electrician out the next morning who not only replaced two outlets, but also checked on a few other issues around the house while he was here. He went above and beyond with the service call, and didn't try to oversell us on services. He did mention their protection plan, but we opted out since it's so sporadic that we need them here it wasn't worth the $12.95 a month. (We find this very affordable!) Overall they're a great company and the staff is pleasant overall. Will use them again for small projects around the house.

Jake responded to my question almost immediately and unlike other companies came out to look at the project - which made me feel better about the information that he gave me. The quote came quickly after his visit. After a few more questions/answers- I was able to book him within a short period of time. He did not insist on using his own equipment as another company did. He installed a security light on my garage, rerouted a conduit to my garage and installed an attic fan where there hadn't been one before. He vented it! Provided an extra switch for the fan!
