We went to view a house in East Longmeadow that was having an open house. When we arrived the agent Christine Garstka did not even greet us. We were totally ignored the entire time. When she was finished having a conversation with the group that was there, she still did not say anything to us, although she had no issue helping the other three groups that came in after us. We were pretty interested in the house, but this experience has put us off. I would not recommend Christine. We hope this was not because of our race. read more

My girlfriend and I communicated with Amy about a property listed under her, we scheduled a very specific date and time to take a look at it. Well, we showed up, but she did not. I called and texted and I am still waiting to hear back, but it's been about three weeks now so that seems unlikely. We were able to tour the property because there happened to be another agent there. He asked us who we were supposed to meet there and we told him Amy Rio and he just kind of laughed, so I take it her reputation of (un)reliability is well established. She is incredibly unprofessional. I've never left a Google review for anything before but this was so egregious I felt compelled to let people know. It is very easy to use any realtor to view any property, I highly advise against even bothering to contact her, you would genuinely be much better off just closing your eyes and throwing a dart at a random list of realtor names. read more

The worst out there, fast talker, slow doer.. Have been working with this woman on a few homes but nothing great ever happened. We finally saw a house of interest, went to view first day on the market bright and early, filled out the paperwork the night before, went 5 grand above and beyond asking price and was paying cash, no less.. 48 hours after hearing nothing, we made the email, as none of these agents answer the phone anymore and asked what was going on and what we should do, write this one off at a loss and move on or what? The answer I got was "we should hang in there, I'll call him in a bit to see whats going on".. Well we never heard back from her, instead we found it PENDING ourselves.. Nice huh? I would not recommend purchasing a home that was listed for sale by Executive Real Estate. There are several real estate companies that are reputable in the area. These people seem to care more about making a profit than being fair to honest, hard working people. This review is specific to two people there: Stephen Ellis and Timothy Faucher. I had to call multiple times to understand what's going on and it was very rare that my call will be picked or I will get a call back. I am not quite sure how can somebody treat their customers like this. I am sure she has lot of work in her plate but she can refuse to take a new customer if she doesn't have time to even pick phone and address questions. Was looking for an agent to list a house with. Had been in contact with one of their agents a number of times. Things were good but my life is exceptionally busy and getting together was tough. But... I just got a call when I was literally in the middle of something Exceptionally important But decided to take a moment to take the call to let him know I wasn't brushing him off. RUN FAR AWAY from this sham of an outfit! They do NOT do their due diligence when listing houses, allowing for sellers to overprice homes and depend on wasting potential buyer's money to get inspection reports. They have found a legal loophole they are exploiting home buyers by failing to do their homework before listing. Then claim "they shouldn't have known that was wrong, so why should they have disclosed it?" They scam people to spend non refundable money on inspection reports they can use to repair the house and price accordingly. It's a disgusting practice and completely unethical!! My appraisal came in at $20,000.00 less than the original asking price and the inspection uncovered poorly remediated water damage that was NEVER DISCLOSED! When 60% of our showings we had no one show up or give us a call to let us know about a cancellation, I called Amy Rio, the owner, and she blamed several of her employees about the no shows. I dealt with Peter Caruso and he was the worst professional I've ever dealt with, if you can even call him a professional. I was trying to view something that was literally my dream home on a large property surrounded by trees with little neighbors on a dead end right near a swimming location. A nice place for my children to grow up (13 month old identical twin boys). This man texted me (which is already unprofessional) about my inquiry. We finally set up a meeting after days of no response from him and last minute he cancels saying that the tenant "could not move her dog". We tried to reschedule a showing and he asks if the same time the next day will work. I told him no because my fiancé has a job and we can only do it on his days off. I never got a response. After taking over a day to reply to the other couple of text messages, to this day Peter Caruso has still not texted me back. Does he not want to make money? Or does he not serve minorities? Women? Lower income families? Whatever the reason, it is clear that he did not want to show that property to us for what I can only assume is a discriminatory reason. I contacted another real estate agent who had shown us another property and she set up a showing for us. The day of the showing right before we left while my twin toddlers were napping, I excitedly took one last look at the property on Zillow. It wasn't showing up anymore. I texted the other realtor and she said that it's probably got rented out. She spent hours trying to contact somebody to give her an answer and she finally found that it indeed was rented out to someone else. So I lost out on a great opportunity for probably one of the only landlords in Connecticut with a good property who is not discriminatory about credit or income on a large property away from other people. Now my twin toddlers can continue to be woken up by our neighbors both on the other side of their wall and above them in our apartment building in a dangerous neighborhood because Peter Caruso decided not to help out a family that needed a new place to live in the state with the worst housing in the country. Meaninv it will be very difficult for us to find another place with that quality and that price. I think that this company should do an IQ test before they hire their real estate agents because it's very obvious that they did not do one on Mr. Peter if discrimination was not his reason for completely disrespecting my family and me. read more

Diana is: PROMPT: She was the first Realtor to contact us after we put our information on Zillow and Lending Tree. She followed up on every detail with us as soon as we asked. We never had to wait several days to hear back from her and her punctuality was unwavering. DRIVEN: Diana gently but persistently encouraged us to seek the best deal possible. We are not natural-born negotiators, but Diana felt at complete ease in working through all the financial and non-financial discussions and negotiations. PERSONABLE: We were not looking forward to having to deal with a stuffy, old real estate agent, and Diana was everything we could have hoped for. She understood us, could relate to us, and shared the ups and downs of the job. She is a family-person and understands the challenges my fiancée and I face as we balance work and personal lives. PROFESSIONAL: While Diana worked very hard for us, she was careful NEVER to push anything on us. We could tell she was trying to figure out what we wanted when we started, which was challenging because we didn't know what we wanted. As we figured out what we wanted, Diana adjusted accordingly and helped us understand some of the nuances behind the choices presented to us. She was more of a partner than an agent, I would think. In fact, when we met the seller's agent, we were somewhat taken aback by several "selling" attempts. HONEST: Diana helped steer us away from things that we realize in hindsight we would not have liked. In short, Diana Chatman is worth every cent (and then some) of the commission she received. When you are buying a house for the first time, you need an ally you can trust and rely on...and Diana Chatman was our ally.
