We waited for about an hour before being seen with 1 person in line in front of us. What an incredibly unprofessional urgent care! My husband was so sick with strep throat, burning up with fever and desperately needed antibiotics! We made an appointment for 1:15pm, arrived a few minutes early only to be told they are not taking any new patients due to a medical emergency!? Seriously? It's an urgent care! There was a doctor on staff and I guess the gal working the front desk needed to leave due to a health issue. Ok? So there's no other nurses/medical assistants there? One gal? Today I went in for something simple and was told that the provider couldn't help me. This was the second time I tried to get medical attention at this location for something simple. Both times now I have been turned away. Unfortunately other reviews have mentioned that this has been their experience as well. Avoid this place. I drove to UCLA Immediate Care and was seen in less than 20min by a provider who easily managed the issue I needed care for and put all my worries aside. This was really what I needed. I went to this urgent care n Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 pm After falling and hurting my back. The wait was more than 2 hrs There was one provider seeing patients. They quickly took x rays and determined that i fx a vertebrae. They would NOT prescribe any pain medication and instead insisted that tylenol and salonpas patches would work. They also told me to get a back brace but failed to tell me anything more. I had an appointment for my daughter to get her school physical. I've broken two bones in my life, and for both times, I went to Exer Urgent Care to provide initial treatment and for x-rays. The facility looks brand-new and super clean, and the staff are super friendly and wonderful to work with. When I had broken my elbow, I was provided an ice pack even without asking while waiting in the lobby, it was a super kind gesture that I was super appreciative of. It demonstrates a level of care that I doubt other urgent care places wouldn't think much of. If I ever have urgent care needs, Exer Urgent Care is the only urgent care I'd ever consider in the Camarillo area. read more

I was a walk in and had two patients ahead of me. Took 2 1/2 hours to be seen. Doctor prescribed me meds for UTI which I called back 3 days later as the meds weren't working. I was told I had to come back in for a revisit after only 4 days. I had already paid 50.00 copay and they billed my PPO. So o am now still in pain as I'm not paying another 50.00 . I was already aware from their website that there were 4 patients ahead of me to see the doctor, but the receptionist told me dismissively that "the provider wouldn't be able to do anything for that, except maybe antibiotics and it will be over an hour wait." So I went to another Urgent Care on Pickwick, and within an hour had been seen by a provider and had my worries put to ease. It was poor customer service to be diagnosed and dismissed by the receptionist, and I am thrilled that I followed my instinct and left. My husband went in on a Saturday because he wasn't feeling well. He had Covid symptoms, the doctor gave him an antibiotic. His brother is a doctor and after talking to his brother on Sunday morning, his brother advised him that he was given the wrong antibiotics for his symptoms. he called Exer and asked if the woman could change the antibiotic she refused. His brother lives out of state so he can't prescribe medication in California. His brother is an ER physician. His brother also recommended that he test for Covid. On Sunday we had an event to go too. My husband got really sick on Sunday night and tested for Covid Monday morning. He exposed a lot of people on Sunday and I came down with Covid as well. Her misdiagnosis let him to delay the paxlovid treatment. I've never seen anyone so sick. I started the paxlovid the day my symptoms started and It make a huge difference. We will never go back. This is the second time we've gone to Exer and had a misdiagnosis. As far as I'm concerned, it's a dangerous place to go. I had more luck calling Teladoc. read more

They offer same day results on rapid Covid test! It's worth spreading the word particularly if you need a Covid test (fast result) for work purposes like me. They take your temp before you can walk in, people were super patience and nice. Everything was explained to me very clearly. Also, when something happened to their website, to get/view my results, I called them and they printed it for me (negative of course). This is an urgent care facility only! I'd be more than willing to come back, if I need more Covid tests as well as any urgent medical needs. read more

Was having mild...super mild chest pain. Spoke to a friend who is an e.r. nurse, and after asking me a ton of questions, they suggested heading to an urgent care. "Have them take an EKG and labs to be sure everything is okay. If it's not, they will send you to the emergency room." I called and couldn't get through to a person, but the recording mentioned they take care of chest pain. Drove there from Oxnard and was turned away when I told them what I was there for. Jillin Payne was my provider and dismissed all my concerns and the pain i'm experiencing. From the moment she walked in the room she had a negative approach when giving me care. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jillin spoke to me in an inappropriate manner. She spoke to me as if my pain was not real and I was making it up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She showed no care or compassion when it came to my concerns. I believe she was profiling me due to the way i look. Jillin is unprofessional and gave me no help with my concerns and pain. I am a nurse and I couldn't believe her patient care approach. Today was my second visit to Exer and it was just as amazing as the first one. Not only is the staff friendly, but also extremely competent and great at what they do. The front desk staff are kind and efficient. The nurses are TOP TIER! And their female physician is incredible! She was patient, she asked questions, and here's the kicker she ACTUALLY LISTENS!!! As someone who frequents doctor offices I can tell you this is the best urgent care in Camarillo. It's clean, high tech, and offers a lot more services than a lot of urgent cares. I will not be going to any other urgent care from now on! And as a plus size woman not only was it nice not to be asked about my weight (especially when it was not related to my issue), but they treated me like an actual person.
