My fiancé, my one year old son and I were robbed of our deposit due to false claims of damages to the property of which we have video. They attempted to do a final walk through without notifying us to be present as well. Pointe also charged us for damages that was done to the property prior to my family moving in. The property had a ant and spider infestation and they took their time sending someone out to spray and as a result of Their negligence, my son was bitten which is what led us to move. Once again I strongly advise against deciding to rent from this company and hopefully I can save a family headache, time and money in the future.

Why can't 0 stars be allowed?…read more I have rented from Story Properties for the last 4 years but after today, never again. I made a last minute rental for 4th of July. TWO DIFFERENT RENTALS. The first one had to be canceled because the website, nor the rental company, made us aware that we were renting a condo with a shared dock. We had to find this information out on Zillow and called and confirmed with Story Properties, which was true. They "forgot" to tell us. We canceled that rental and went with a different one. I didn't want to spend almost $3,000 for a week to share a dock with others. The second rental may have been even worse. There is a dock but guess what? You can't swim in the water because its only 2 feet deep and full of mud and the water is too shallow to get your boat back. I don't think I'm a minority when I say that I go to LAKE GASTON to have access to the lake for swimming and boating. We've basically spend $3,000 for an in-ground pool. I am so angry, I can't properly explain. It was a waste of money to be LIED to by a rental company that we use to love. Never again. Please beware. If you want to be 100% sure that you're getting what is shown online - you might as well make the drive to the house yourself because the rental company purposely omits information that may deter you from renting. I am disgusted by the customer service I have received. I fully understand that there weren't many "good houses" left for a last minute holiday rental, but to deceit people out of their money just to get a last rental sale seems very unethical to me. PROVIDE TRUTHFUL INFORMATION FROM THE VERY GET GO - AT THE VERY LEAST PROVIDE THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE IF YOU DON'T HAVE EMPLOYEES WHO REMEMBER TO TELL YOU THE FACTS BEFORE RENTING.
