I am not one to lie because I want everyone to know the truth about piercing shops because I would want to know the same things as everyone else. Here we go: Exodus Ink I HIGHLY recommend from my point of view. I've gotten two piercings done there and I am madly in love with both of them. So we'll start out with the piercing part of the shop. Freddie is the man when it comes to micro-dermals and surface piercings. At first when I went there I was iffy because I never really went to a shop to get anything pierced and I thought everyone was going to be rude and 'your done get out'. How I was wrong. If you are nervous (like I was) Freddie is the guy that's going to make you feel super comfortable until you are ready for the piercings. He might joke around a little but I can assure you means no harm. After I got my wrist dermal there I was hooked! After my dermal healed and I got a new paycheck I rushed back there to get my septum done. Perfection is all I have to say. I know from experience that it's pretty hard to get your septum done in the perfect place but Freddie nailed it. I'm in love with it. Now let's go on to the tattoo part of the shop. Breathtaking is all I have to say. I have yet to get a tattoo there (However, I will on my next birthday) but a very close friend of mine has gotten both of her tattoos done there and I'm in love with them! A tattoo artist named Mike I believe did both of them and I will definitely be getting my first tattoo done by him. He is that artist that makes you feel like you are part of the family and does not make you feel awkward like some shops do. Not a quiet moment. Also, the great thing about getting your tattoo done there is all the other artist, like Blaq. He is the man to go to for your realist tattoos. (I want my grandmother's portrait done by him.) Lastly, that shop is one of the cleanest shops I've seen. You can Almost see it sparkle. All I'm really trying to say is once you walk into Exodus you feel right at home. I feel like every time I walk in there I'm walking into a good friends house. These folks are 100% trust worthy and 100% real. And I promise you, you can tell they are pros when they put up with my nonstop talking and annoyingness. And this is definitely not a lie cause I proudly tell people where I think they should go to get piercings/tattoos done. n.n read more

Ok so I love this place and i'm so glad that i found it. The first thing is the atmosphere of Exodus. Everyone is so friendly there, and they just let you chill whether your getting a tattoo/piercing or not. Then for the tattoos. I personally have never gotten one, but many of my close friends have, and i've been with them and the artists there are just amazing. Everybody knows what they're doing. They can pretty much take what your idea of your tattoo is and make it perfect, or even better. If you want it to look realistic, they can do that. Or they can make it the perfect shade you want and so on. I highly recommend getting a tattoo here. Ok now for piercings. This is where its attttt. Freddie is the micro dermal/piercing champ. He can literally almost pierce anything. I have hip dermals from him and i've yet to have a problem with them. I know lots of people with dermals and piercing from here and they have had no problems. Anyways i will always give this place a super thumbs up because they're work is amazing, you can tell they love their job, and you'll always feel comfortable in there. My friend and I decided to check out Exodus Ink because we had heard many good things about this shop. I was looking to get a microdermal piercing and my friend was looking to get a tattoo. My first impression of the shop was of how clean the place was and how nice the workers were. I had a few questions about microdermal piercings and I was glad to be able to talk to the piercer about it. He made me feel at ease and because of that, I decided to get the microdermal. After I had the piercing done and given instructions for aftercare, my friend was ready to get her tattoo. She brought with her some ideas and the artist was able to put her ideas together so, after I was done with my piercing, I sat with her through her tattoo. She was a little nervous about getting this done but Mike (the artist) put her at ease. She is definitely happy with the piece she had gotten from him. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get professional and clean work! read more

First off this is one of the nicest shops ive been inside of in the chicagoland area, I myself have been pierced by all 3 piercers at the shop , Freddie did my Dahlia, mike did my septum and wally did my microdermal, ive never had problems with any of my piercings but have removed them because of aesthetic purposes, i would trust any piercer in their staff with my body. Ive been tattooed by Stacey (blaq) and Mike the owner, I would recommend both of them. Neither had a heavy hand and i had no problem with healing afterwards, The staff was friendly and helpful, their prices were VERY reasonable especially for the quality work you're getting. The shop is very easy to locate in the same lot as the 7/11 on archer. I would recommed this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo of any style from traditional, to newschool or portraiture. read more

Went to Exodus Ink yesterday and got 3 orchids with some tribal down the side of my torso. Because it was Mothers Day, there was just one guy working, Rev. Jeff (and yes he is an actual reverend), but he had no appointments so he helped me right away with some ideas I had. He was super nice and funny, yet still respectful. He gave me a great deal on what turned out to be a pretty large tattoo plus stayed an hour and a half past closing just to finish it. The shop is not too large but super clean and comfortable. Not a shop where you walk in and feel intimidated or anything. I didn't get to meet any of the other guys there but heard good things about the owner Mike. Also heard that an artist named Blaq has a really good reputation for portraits. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely go back for my next one. read more

Exodus is the best and most reliable shop I have gone to in the Chicagoland area. I personally have gotten a monroe and a dermal from Freddie, and I have been absolutely elated and satisfied with the service I've received. He was explicitly clear with me how to take care of my piercings and made it very easy for me to have a successful healing process. I have friends and acquaintances that have been tattooed by all members of the shop, and I have only heard and seen great things. I have seen a lot of work by Stacey (Blaq), and he is a very talented tattoo artist and I have always been immensely impressed by the work he has put out. I can honestly 100% say that the post above me is false. Freddie is great piercer, I have gotten 6 micro-dermals from him and they are in perfect condition. He has also pierced many of my friends, and they are doing wonderful. As far as I have seen, he hands on aftercare sheets with every piercing and explains in great detail right in front of the costumer on how to care for the new piercing. I honestly and absolutely love this place. Freddie has helped me when he had done my nose piercings and helped me when I thought something was wrong (First piercing, I was a bit paranoid). He knew how to make it comfortable and calm my nerves about it all, especially with my fear of needles. When it came to my eyebrow piercing, same thing calmed my nerves and made it almost a joking matter! His attitude and interactions with his costumers are amazing and there is no doubt that when I get my spider bites this summer I am going to him because he knows what he is doing. read more

First of all. The piercer Freddie did my micro dermal and completely messed my chest up. He did not explain to me how to maintain my piercing at all. Didn't even check for my id. Also I have three other friends whose piercings had to be taken out because he did them incorrectly. He is a horrible piercer and shouldn't be trusted with anything involving piercing needles period. read more
