I walked in Exotic Eye wanting to get a tattoo by Margot and was able to book an appointment with her for the very next day! I showed her what I wanted and the next day she showed me a beautiful design she drew herself, exactly what I wanted. The whole experience was so beautiful, the energy and the atmosphere in Exotic Eye is so peaceful and comfortable. I was a little nervous, this being my first tattoo, but Margot was awesome through the whole process talking to me about anything and everything, giving me breaks, and making sure I was comfortable while she worked. I loved the turnout of my tattoo, I even asked after she started if we could do some color shading in the petals of the flower, and I showed her a picture of a Tiger Lily the way I would want the color to look, and she NAILED it. Loved getting a tattoo here! Here's why! I was able to do a walk in with Exotic eye tattoo. I gave the artist an idea of what I wanting to do and we drew it up together. The artist worked with me and an existing mountain tattoo that I wanted to add too/fix. After we drew it up we printed the template and figured out a good size, the artist made sure I was happy with the template and then started my tattoo. My mountain tatttoo was on my left rib cage which is a spot known to be sensitive, the artist checked in with me and how I was doing the whole tattoo. After I was done I was given proper care instructions and she placed second skin on my tatttoo. I am so incredibly happy with this tattoo it turned out amazing, I would definitely recommend this tatttoo place! read more

I've been searching for an artist to cover a tattoo on my back for about two years now, when a friend recommended Rachel from Exotic Eye after she had a great experience there. Turns out two years of waiting paid off. Rachel was able to really take in my ideas (and collage) of what I was envisioning. She killed it with the attention to detail, line work, pointillism and capturing the vibe I was going for. She took my idea and made it better. She asked if I wanted to make any changes, just one little change and we were on our way. I now have a piece of art in lieu of a bad tattoo on my back. Rachel is so amazing! Her creative eye and attention to detail blows me away everytime. She is working on a sleeve for both me and my husband, so we spent all summer frequenting her shop for hours at a time. Her shop is located in a beautiful location in Homer and she makes you feel very comfortable while performing her work. This place rocks for getting ink up in Alaska. I was on a bike tour of the Kenai peninsula and always love to get a tattoo after one of my bike tours. I didn't have much expectations of getting the tattoo just thought it was Alaska and didn't really think they would have the greatest artists up there. But I was wrong. This was a great little shop on the spit, they got me in on my time frame and nailed the tattoo. It was one of my best cleanest and fast healing tattoos I ever got and they did it right. Love this place. I got my best tattoo from Rachel. Started my tattoo at the beginning of the summer. My first sitting was 8 hours and we talked visited and laughed the whole time my next 2 visits weren't as long but just as great and I watched my tattoo come to life she is a wonderful artist. This place has THEE MOST professional & talented artist (Rachel) she does gorgeous artwork, cover ups, free hand .. Etc. She listens and doesn't push her own idea, I gave her my idea/design and she glorified it beyond my expectations! All before any permanent work was done on my body.
