The Homer Inn and Spa is a total gem. I came with my Mom and got two rooms, both very clean and with amazing views. I honestly have never felt so relaxed in my life after staying here for 4 days. The massage was top notch, and the sauna was amazing, right on the cliff overlooking the water and eagles of Kachemak Bay. Even in the fog and rain, the setting was incredibly peaceful and lovely, and it the weather actually made it seem even more beautiful and relaxing in my opinion. I will never forget sitting in bed and watching thousands of shorebirds fly by over the course of our stay in early May, or the 5 eagles that flew right above my head as I soaked in the hot tub. It was wonderful to enjoy the beauty and wildness of the Homer Spit from the luxury of such relaxed and wonderful little boutique hotel. read more

I found the Homer Inn when searching for a dog friendly place in Homer. I really loved the location - If you want to be "in the heart" of Homer - this isn't the place for you. The location is super quaint and an amazing view of the bay. Everyone who we encountered while coming and going was super friendly. As a guest of the Inn you have access to the hot tub. I appreciated how staff asked us to request hot tub times so everyone had the hot tub to themselves making it a more enjoyable experience. The hotel staff use texting as the primary way to communicate. This was nice - when we wanted extra towels we just sent a text. read more

Really enjoyed it. It was dog friendly great for couples. Parking could be a little bit bigger. Our room was set up so we had to go through the lobby to get to the parking lot, this was fine except in the few instances non guest were checking in for the spa then it was a little tight. While our husbands were halibut fishing my friend and I spent 3 hours at the spa. This was an amazing experience. We opted not to get a massage since we can do that at home, but instead did the full spa experience. We started with an hour in the yurt in the 4D massage chairs. They were amazing. Almost as good as a real massage! The red light therapy in there was great too. Next we spent time in the dry sauna and used the vitamin D eye glasses, the foot massages and the oxygen. The cold plunge and hot tub and regular sauna were amazing with beautiful views of the bay. So serene. I would definitely recommend this. The ladies that guide you through the yurt and thermal spa were amazing. Such an amazing experience in a perfect setting. read more

An unorthodox type of inn, but friendly owners and amazing views.... If you want a traditional B & B/Inn then don't stay here as the place has a very individual feel. We are former award winning innkeepers who have recently retired so we do know a lot about this type of hospitality. Being a 'touchy feely' spa it offers a very individual style of decor and also hospitality. The bedroom could not be better equipped, with fridge, microwave coffee/tea etc. The decor of our bathroom was quirky and we felt the style to be a little dated, and also rather cramped compared to the bedroom, which offered a superb view of the ocean and mountains. We slept well, but one constructive suggestion would be to get some new pillows as the ones we had are coming to the end of their lives. Paul the owner who is a very tall and lovely man could not have been more helpful, offering suggestions on things to do and organising a great individual bear sighting tour for us. They offer no breakfast but one could happily sit on the deck over looking the ocean (we also had a deck outside of our room) and enjoy your own selection of everything from snacks in the morning to beverages at night. One important positive point....with 20 hour day light our room had very good blackout curtains. The hotels in Homer are all of a sort and we feel this place deservedly gets it's top position in the review process. read more

Such sweet, accommodating hosts! Marilyn made sure my best friend and I were taken care of in comfort. I highly recommend the beach view suite with the private hot tub. My friend and I both Alaskans, and this stay here certainly took the cake for being the best spa and inn we've stayed in the state. 10/10 recommend! read more

Terrible experience with Homer Inn. First in a website says they accept American Express, but when you start a process the system is not allowed to do so. We paid with debit card , they changed 50%, the next day they charged the rest. Because it was less then 30 days we arrived. The day we arrived we were extremely disappointed. The truth is much worse than on a website picture. Our suite was completely in different location!!! In nowhere!!! You have drive to there from the main location! No jacuzzi! No view! No normal road and parking! It was just my birthday eve! So we asked for refund. But they declined. It feels like fraud! They need to create another website for second location. It is so confuse! No one there was care that we lost money and time to get there. We didn't stay there. Never! Never! Homer Inn. Don't waist your time and money. It is absolutely no worth it. read more

Homer Inn and Spa is a gorgeous peaceful place to stay in Homer, Ak. It overlooks Homer Spit and provides a gorgeous view of the glaciers. They give you complimentary homemade wine. We tried the Blueberry Merlot. It was sweet but tasty. We stayed at this location because it had a hot tub that sat on the bluff just above the ocean. It was amazing. We spent as much time as possible there enjoying the amazing view. I do not have any trips to Homer planned but when I do this place is the first reservation I will make. The only thing they could improve is adding a better shower head. The shower was really cool but the shower head was a bit of a downer. Honestly I can overlook this small details for this charming Inn. read more

Is there a 6/5 star review option?! This place was phenomenal! We stayed two nights and even though it was raining on and off, the views from the deck were beautiful! We got a side-by-side (couples massage) and the two therapists were fantastic. Definitely recommend the Swedish massage! On our second day it was really rainy so instead of the hike we had planned, we stayed in and played board games we got from the front desk. From the complimentary wine, to the DVD collection, to the board games...this place has thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable! I so enjoyed my day at the day spa. I received a gift certificate for the "Blissful Beachfront Spa" package. I have had many massages, and have visited a few day spas, but this was a real treat. The therapist (Annette), took every care to make me feel pampered. The place is just gorgeous, and you are in a separate cabin overlooking Kachemak Bay, so it is very quiet. The aromatic foot soak was just lovely, and included a sugar and coconut oil exfoliation (but this is not pedicure level sandblasting, so do not expect that). The hot stones were wonderful, and the massage was deep and thorough, relaxing and therapeutic at the same time (I went in with a 2-day stiff neck). I enjoyed the steam facial at the end of the massage (again, there is no black-head removal here, just warmth and relaxation on a cold winter day). My face glowed for hours. I am a Homer girl, so there is one thing I will note that did not take away a star for me, but should be known by those used to more posh places. The cozy cabin is about 20 outdoor steps away from the lodge, where the bathroom is. read more

Overall very nice with beautiful views. You feel secluded, private, and cozy. Good wine and tea available. Breakfast is only Quaker packaged oatmeal for you to cook yourself. Fridge and microwave in room. Coffee is available to make in your room, but our room was not cleaned after our first night- bed was made, but towels on the floor weren't replaced, we'd tracked in dirt which wasn't swept, and the coffee pot wasn't cleaned out so I couldn't make coffee the next morning. Despite this, there was a tip envelope for preparing the room prior to our stay. I was a little taken aback. We never saw anyone at the front desk after check-in. Our smoke alarm sat on the front counter untouched for our entire stay after we had to remove the battery the first night due to chirping. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again, but for the price I paid, I expected much higher quality. read more

This place is absolutely fabulous! If you go, ask for Holly... her technique is one of the best I've ever experienced, and I've been getting massages for 18 years. (I had the swedish/deep tissue combination). Also, I recommend sitting in the jacuzzi for a half hour beforehand; you'll see sea otters playing and the occasional porpoise. After my massage I opted for the glacial mud facial, which really helped my wind chapped skin. A wonderful experience! read more

My husband and I stayed at the Homer Inn & Spa for two nights during our honeymoon. To date, it is the best little Inn that we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. First, the location is in a quiet little spot that has an amazing view. The room was absolutely wonderful - very spacious, clean and the decor was great! Everyone who works at the Inn was super nice and helpful. They have complimentary wine that was super tasty! The hot tub is a must to sit and relax as you are looking out at the picturesque Alaska view. The massage was amazing! We chose the 1.5 hour couples massage. Our massage therapists have magic in their hands and the use of hot stones was just perfect. Homer is always a personal favorite and we will definitely stay at the Homer Inn & Spa again. They all were from locals so therefore I can now understand how we were misled and how this place received such a high rating from Trip Advisor!!
