His longtime experience as resident as well as an acclaimed musician adds up to a very unique and informative tour which is superior to and uniquely different than a traditional tour. We've traveled the world and been on dozens of tours and I'll put Walkin' Nashville with Bill in the top of the list. Just do it!

Great stories gleaned from Bill's career in music journalism, and his obvious love for Nashville. It's a little bittersweet to pass by spots like Printers Alley and have Bill show you pictures of how it looked before the current building boom, but then you also get to walk through spots like the short trip between the stage door of the Ryman and the back entrance of the Orchid Lounge, and feel like you're walkin' with the music legends!

Ohhhh what a time we had! The amazing Paige made sure we enjoyed every bite and taught us a lot…read moreabout the food of Nashville, as well as the backstories on how they came to be! She even provided the back stories of the historical churches & buildings we passed on our way to each location. She was sweet, hilarious, spunky and after telling her ALL 12 of our names just once - she remembered them all, the entire 3 hours we were together! We enjoyed ourselves so much and I'm so grateful we signed up - I honestly don't think we would have received the same experience of Nashville if we had just gone to these places on our own. We stopped off at 5 different eateries, all were pre-picked for us so we had no idea where we would be going. Unfortunately, not all of them struck me as worthy of a second visit but it was new to us (except for Prince's, we had stumbled upon them the day before, whoops) and I will say I'm not the biggest sweets fan but the Goo Goo cluster was the perfect way to end the tour! Thank you Paige & Walk Eat Nashville!

Do this. Dont think…read more Book this now. If I had to choose one thing to recommend to anyone visiting Nashville, it would be the Music City Greeter Tour. Our greeter Sterling was the most amazing tour guide. Probably the best tour guide I have ever had, in any city. Kind, funny, informative with a personal touch, she gave us a complete and comprehensive walking tour of Nashville. The tour had something for everyone. Architecture and art, food and music. She gave us a lay of the land and helped us map out what we wanted to do while we were there. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The tour was free and you are not allowed to tip. RIDICULOUS! I would have gladly paid for this tour and I felt horrible that I couldn't tip...but that's their policy. Definitely book this ahead of time and towards the beginning of your trip. Also, the nice people in the visitors center were full of smiles and warmth (Paige). They gave us tons of additional info that made our trip perfect. So Awesome! Just Do It!

Met an *uber* knowledgeable greeter (and her husband) - who understood we'd miss their tour - but strongly encouraged us to sign up for the Must City Greeter tour - which was *amazing!* Shannon, our guide, took us on a completely different tour - to places *she* liked, and she talked about honkey tonks *she* liked, and food/restaurants *she* recommended! A TOTALLY *personalized* tour! We did not stay on the main roads - but went on side roads and got a unique view on Nashville downtown. Shannon even pointed us toward where to go to take a great photo on the bridge! She "went over" the expected one-hour tour - but not one of us had a problem with that! (Did you know there is *symbology* in the architecture of the Radio City Hall of Fame?! Ask Shannon!!!!!!) AND YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO BELIVE THIS: TOTALLY FREE!!! I mean *TOTALLY* free! The guides are NOT ALLOWED TO ACCEPT TIPS! REALLY?! While "FREE" is my best price - this was exceptional!

The Parthenon - 09.01.25 a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece

After admiring her beautiful statue, we walked through the galleries and treasury. I've been wanting to visit Nashville's Parthenon for years and it was everything I hoped it would be. Plus it contains a wealth of information regarding the exhibits with visitor guides and audio tours.

This place is weird…read more You pay $15 to walk inside a full-size replica of the Parthenon, where the main attraction is an enormous white statue of Athena covered in gold leaf. And then... well, that's pretty much it. Athena herself is certainly impressive, although to my completely untrained eye she looked less like a Greek goddess and more like a giant Buddhist statue that had wandered into the wrong religion. I honestly wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. Bow? Pray? Light some incense? Take a selfie? I settled on staring at her for a few minutes and wondering where my $15 went. There was a little room showing how the sculptor made Athena, but I kept thinking there must be something more. Another exhibit. A secret passage. Something. Nope. Big Athena. Gold leaf. Thank you for coming. And perhaps my biggest question: Why is there a full-size replica of the Parthenon in Nashville in the first place? I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable historical explanation, but I almost prefer not knowing. Nashville is the Athens of the South?! Seriously, what were they thinking?!! Worth seeing? Maybe once, just because it's so bizarre. Worth $15? That's between you and Athena. Nashville has hot chicken, country music, honky-tonks... and, for reasons I still don't fully understand, the Parthenon. It's weird.
