He also gave us the code with no ID or phone number or anything on record and told us just to lock up after. The other potentials thought he was coming and we had to tell them he wasn't. We asked where we were in line in terms of actually getting the place and he just said everything is done on Zillow and I'll be deciding on Sunday. This is the current world we live in and it's sad.

So I was quite pissed, though relieved, that it was just a real estate person wanting my business. This letter from Shari Wray & Associates with Keller Williams Realty had a phone number and email but no business address. The letter said that a home equity analysis was included, but there was none. I was going to just toss it in the mail but I thought it was so unprofessional to send a letter out without a return address, that was unnecessarily alarming and totally illegitimate looking. So, no, Shari Wray, you will not be getting my business.

I do not think that this company can be trusted. Avenue's site states: "Low Fee Guarantee - We…read morematch any competing proposal fee for comparable service. We won't be beat on fees." Avenue does not keep its word. I was in talks with Avenue, as I was considering using them as property manager for my rental. Per the request of the Avenue employee I was speaking with, I sent him a leasing agreement I had with a competing property management company. I did this to see if Avenue would actually stand by their word and make good on their "low fee guarantee." After talking with me on the phone about it, the Avenue employee actually agreed with me that my lease with this other company was an "apples to apples" comparison with their own. However, he said that they would charge me more than the other company. In other words, they would not honor their own guarantee. They do not keep their word. Also, there are multiple fake positive reviews of this company. I'm 99% sure that some of these fake reviews were posted by their employees. I would advise staying away from this company.

We met with Angie online, and she spent hours and hours telling us about the city, introducing us to different neighborhoods and the ages and prices of houses. One night she sat with us until 1 AM on Zoom and showed us zones on the suburbs on the city map. When we went to see houses, she would make sure we were the first to enter the house, way before the open house.
