Entering into a rent-to-own agreement here was a massive mistake, and we were completely…read moreovercharged. They marketed this as a brand-new, updated home, but it is actually a cheap flip job with outdated everything. They slapped an awful, disgusting paint job over structural issues, installed terrible flooring and cheap carpet, and left popcorn ceilings galore. Under the surface, the place is falling apart: there are active leaks in the basement, the bathroom fans don't even work, there is terrible foundation work, and the A/C unit FROM 1993! Despite paying a premium for a supposedly 'updated' house, you are forced to shoulder 100% of the expensive maintenance burdens of a homeowner without getting any of the actual benefits or equity of owning the property. You have to pay out of pocket for these costly repairs while the actual homeowner hides completely behind Three Doors and Complete Property Management to avoid any accountability. To make matters worse, their home warranty company is a complete joke. They use endless loopholes, pre-existing condition clauses, and deliberate delays to deny legitimate claims, leaving you entirely stranded when those ancient systems inevitably break down. Whenever a crisis hits, the owner stays invisible, the warranty company offers zero protection, and the management group just points to the fine print. It is a predatory setup where you take all the financial risk for a lemon of a house while they hide in the shadows and cash your checks.
