As you enter town, the first thing you will notice are the red rocks surrounding formations. They will take your breath away. There are many galleries to wander in and out of. Have a tarot reading and find out what you have in store for your future. If you want to see and travel about, think about a Pink Jeep tour. A guide will take you off the beaten path maybe to Oak Creek Canyon and various hiking areas. Plenty of places to eat, shop, hike and enjoy. The weather is cooler there too where elevation is 4,300'. I've always thought that Sedona was a warm up session for Monument Valley. It is red rock formation glorified!

There are many tour companies offers many types of tours. There are a LOT of great restaurants and great food. The not so good: parking is a real pain, especially at the trailhead. You are left hiking extra MILES or waiting 30-90 minutes for a bus to get you to the trailhead. E-bikes - leave them home unless you want to ride the roads with traffic (they do have bike lanes but there are tons of round a bouts you need to navigate on the sidewalks/cross walk). There are no regular bike trails to be found. Instead, bring the motorcycle or side by side. Again, there are is plenty of good food, but this is a tourist area so bring plenty of money also.

I called in person to try and transfer from my old place to the new place. Doing this with other utility companies was quite easy and could be done online with no problems. City of Flagstaff on the other had, was a bit more cumbersome. I checked the website and wasn't quite sure so I decided to call. When I finally got a ahold of someone the clerk/person working the phone line was very curt and kept cutting me off by telling me, 'yOu nEEd to AcTIVate a NEw aCCounT!!!!' I even tried to get in a question about not having to pay start up fees since I have never missed a payment ever and always pay on time. More curtness from the person. So, a month and a half later it seems all is well, until I get a bill from them from my old place. I call and let them know that I activated a new account and the person over the phone was again, not very helpful nor understanding. 'We're sorry, but there is nothing we can do about it; we don't do transfers and you should talk to your old landlord to pay it. Sorry that the person was curt to you, but we can't do anything about it.' (They really emphasized that they couldn't do anything about it.) It's one thing if I was being a jerk about it or if I dropped the ball with other utility companies and had a history of being delinquent with my payments, but to be told it was my fault when people were rude and unhelpful is just plain frustrating. Especially at a time when money is tight and I live in Flagstaff AZ. City of Flagstaff needs to work on customer service and a more transparent way of transferring services/utilities in town.

Great place to spend the day checking out all the local art. Additional info from Wiki: A mining town named Jerome was established on the side of Cleopatra Hill in 1883. It was named for Eugene Murray Jerome, a New York investor who owned the mineral rights and financed mining there. Eugene Jerome never visited his namesake town. Jerome was incorporated as a town on 8 March 1889. Local merchant and rancher William Munds was the first mayor. The town housed the workers in the nearby United Verde Mine, which was to produce over 1 billion dollars in copper, gold and silver over the next 70 years. Jerome became a notorious "wild west" town, a hotbed of prostitution, gambling, and vice. On 5 February 1903, the New York Sun proclaimed Jerome to be "the wickedest town in the West". In 1915 the population of Jerome was estimated at 2,500.

This past November while riding through Jerome I was stopped and harassed by the local police department for failure to follow a traffic control device. Guess what? There was no traffic control device to follow. So after making it clear I would be fighting the ticket, they switch charges to unsafe passing on the left. Wrong again, the road was 3 lanes wide and a one way. Needless to say the crooked judge could not let me get away without a shakedown, so she invented a new charge, noise violation under Town of Jerome Municipal Code. Noise violations are completely arbitrary and without any measure of sound, it's preposterous to make such a charge. Needless to say $127 lighter in the wallet I suggest you DON'T support tourist shakedowns. (This is not the first/only shakedown I know of, just the only one that happened to me - standard line, "It's just a municipal code and there will be no points on your licence, just mail the $200 in.")
