Since it was pretty rainy the days we visited Montreal, we took the niece to one of her favorite…read morespots: Funtropolis! Was it "trop fun?" Definitely for the niece. For HOURS, and I mean it, HOURS of fun and distraction for the kids, they basically run around in various areas: multiple level maze, shooting area, laser area, bumper cars, and arcade. The only areas that are extra costs are the bumper cars (which needed an extra ticket) and the arcade (which needed tokens). Since the niece was a certain age, the bumper car ticket was free, but only 1 ride. Before entering, you do put away all your jackets and shoes, so make sure you do wear some comfy socks that you know can get dirty. The bumper cars was about a song length in duration (~3-4 minutes). The bumper cars basically spin around every minute to shuffle folks. Then there are two levers to move the car, one to spin and the other to go forward and back. The niece is 6 and she easily figured out the controllers by herself. You also must be at least 5 for this activity. We didn't get to go into the laser area but we did step into one area where you can kind of do a whack-a-mole type of activity where there are 6 stations for each person to tap on squares on the wall that light up. The shooting area is more like foam balls and think American Gladiators where they have stations where you can put in a foam ball and shoot people on the floor. There are several arcade like machines with shooting games, rides, etc. Nothing too big or time consuming but definitely can keep kids wanting to keep spending money. Try to divert them to the active games. The multi-floor maze was where we spent most of our time. There are obstacles, zip lines, slides, trampolines, etc. Now the trampolines are small and there is a sign that says only 1 person at a time....some kids and even adults do not read this sign. The niece kind of told one adult that only 1 person can go in and he rolled her eyes at her. Wow. Some people don't know about safety. Now let's talk about safety. There's really no one regulating the areas. So it's trust your child to make sure they're safe. Yes a lot of the areas are padded. But it was pretty much....go at your own risk. I saw many kids sniffling, coughing, etc. I just wore my mask the whole time and just sanitized the heck out of my hands as I cannot get sick! Overall, if you're a kid, it's super fun. I chased the niece all over the place. I was sweating up a storm. I did it for a fraction of the time she was running around. Also if you're wanting your kids to be tuckered out, this is the place. On our way home, she was just quiet. Yeah, it tired her out that much. Super fun, but wish they had more cleaning staff or ensuring areas are safe to go into. I wish they had people manning the trampolines and ensuring folks only stay in for a certain amount of time. I know the niece ended up jumping for more than necessary and there ended up a line behind her so we had to ask her to move on so others could go. Either way, good fun time. A little screaming sensory overload. It definitely will give you an idea if you want kids of not lol!

My 9 year old was invited to a birthday party at the Funtropolis on Saturday…read more The policy is all children must be accompanied by at least one adult, and someone cannot exit and re-enter. Party package is $270 + tax for 8 children and 2 adults, with possibility of paying for additional guests. Tables are reserved for 3 1/2 hours. For people wanting to host a fun birthday event, it is well worth it, if you can afford. Party groups are held on the mezzanine floor with lots of seating available. Although they sell basic snacks, food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed to be brought in from outside. The place is huge with lots of different activities, including giant spider web, slides, bumper cars and 4D 5 minute movies that will keep kids of all ages occupied for hours and hours. Bumber cars (one-time ride) is included in the birthday package, and could also be purchased separately. Bumper car rides are $4 + tax each ride, or $12 + tax for 4 rides. It can be somewhat noisy, with all the screaming of excitement, and a good way to burn all that energy. The place, including the washroom, looks reasonably clean, but too crowded, in my opinion. The number of people should have been limited. This is a perfect breeding place to catch an infection. While the entrance was rigidly monitored, exit was a different story, as any adult(s) can leave with a child.

There is a separate section for young children ages three and under, as well as a trampoline, padded mini soccer field, climbing wall, and lighted dance floor. My kids enjoy simply crawling through the tube tunnels, climbing up the net ladders, running through the alleyways or zipping down the slides. "Driving" the truck, "flying" the airplane, and rolling the giant exercise balls on the second level are favourite activities too. The best part is the large separate snack area they have set aside for their patrons -- kids always get hungry and thirsty, and it is nice to be able to bring in our own lunch to save money and maximize our play time. They also offer beverages and snacks at their cafe. Their nut-free policy definitely gives me piece of mind when bringing my peanut-allergic son here. It can get busy if daycare groups are visiting, but the last Tuesday morning (when adults get in free) we were here, it was quiet and we nearly had the place to ourselves. Admission isn't cheap and entry is $13 and $8 for my two kids, but the amenities available more than make up for it when we do occasionally drop in. Great place - we will be back.

This small theme park makes folk tales come to life with Alice in Wonderland walking around in the flesh along with the White Rabbit. There's also Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and the Queen of Hearts! There's about 50 things to interact with such as theme expositions, carnival rides, entertainers, animal farm and the such. The entertainment are mostly teens with summer jobs but they are very kind and sweet on the kids and do a very good job. They perform a show every 30 minutes and spend their time walking around their areas entertaining kids. It's sorta magical but I would assume it gets a little boring for them. Hopefully they rotate positions! I'd say this place will keep you busy anywhere between 2 to 3 hours. Two adults and a 3 year old set me back about $56 + taxes. Decent value. The food does leave to be desired, for a place with so many kids I would have appreciated more food options instead of 2 food areas with generic hots dogs and burgers.... an effort in this regard would be appreciated. The coffee joint and ice cream joint were closed and left the whole the on-site amenities somewhat to be desired. The park is nice but could use some love, the paths are dates and the whole area looks like it needs some maintenance.

First of all, the staff; these people here are outstanding. They take care about any of your needs. Once we even had a birthday party at them; everything went well. There is a large parking around the building; you can always find a free spot there. The place is equipped with two large washrooms with a normal and child faucets, plus changing boards. A few private rooms for special events. About six tables in the main hall. A small cafe-buffet with snacks and milk-juices including hotdogs, pizzas etc. A good Nespresso coffee choice. I prefer the darkest one to keep me awake while working on my laptop (yes, there is free Wi-Fi good enough to download and posting pictures on instagram). Two large pools filled with small plastic balls where kids can dive in and draw them to each other. There labyrinths and other obstacles all around. There are special corners, too, namely, a kitchen space, a "sandbox" with crop grains, lego wall. There is a real caroussel. A lot of jumping balls. A large trampoline. Brief, all you need to make children run like crazy but still stay safe and sound. All the space is cleaned and maintained regularly. So, if you need a place to live a day, go there. And you'd better invite a friend with you! They surely will appreciate your advice. As per price, there are two convenient ways: single visit and month, and other periods membership which saved me a lot of money. They accept credit cards. See you there, parents! Not to forget: bring your socks, it is mandatory, and no food but for toddlers only. I guess bananas and apples should be OK.

There is no warm food, only overpriced items such as: cheese strings, chips, goldfish, soy milk, juice - the stuff you'd basically find at a failing dépanneur. Their structures are in need of sprucing up if you will? Because holy duct tape batman! There are ball pits with low quality balls which means, they are all dented and don't really do much it the way of protection/cushioning. Overall, it wasn't very clean, nor very big. It is lacking a room or closed-off area for breastfeeding moms and the area for hanging your coat is entirely open - so should someone want to say... take off with you coat and keys...and car... they could.
