This place is a joke. I worked for sportec in Elk River because I was short on some money. Showed up early and stayed late. Needless to say that when I got my check it was 3 hours short, when I confronted express on this they said they don't pay for time before or after your shift times. Even though the daily meetings were mandatory and they expected me to stay late each night (up to 30 minutes after shift end). Save yourself the trouble and get a real job, temp is so demeaning it's not even funny. Sportec had the balls to thank all the temps for the hard work for their record breaking $7 million in sales in one month during one of the "meetings". Lol read more

Where do I begin with the unprofessionalism. Working as a human resource professional for three years I've learned the importance of constant communication, providing feedback, and following up with applicants. I initially had applied for a human resources position with a company they staffed for in Maple Grove. I was contacted and informed my skills and experience were a good fit for the position and was asked to come out for an interview at their office in Rogers. I spent the night studying the position's job functions, preparing for possible questions that may arise and also studying the staffing company in Rogers to show off my commitment and professionalism. I also took time off that morning from work to go in for this interview, which may I add is about 45 minutes from my house in St. Louis Park. It seems that they may operate multiple businesses out of this location as there were several animals roaming around inside this location, which is okay, but not exactly the most professional. The lady I met with was not the lady I was supposed to interview with however she was friendly and courteous. The interview were wrapped up after a half hour. I waited two business days for response and didn't hear from anyone so followed up but the company to see what their intentions were. They said they were still waiting to hear back from the company. A few days went by again and still nothing. I followed up again only need to be responded with attitude and sarcasm. I ultimately gave up any help with the staffing agency and actually never once heard back from them. It's now been two months and I decided to call and kindly inform them of how they wasted my time and energy. I asked to speak with the manager only to be told they were busy at that moment and for the rest of the day. The woman Laura I spoke with was adamant about not transferring me to a manager so I reluctantly explained my issue to her. She was clearly annoyed and her rebuttle was "they didn't feel it was necessary to call me back after a few weeks as it had been so long since they spoke with me."
