Quotes and Set-up: I messaged the manager of M4L on yelp and he responded within an hour and was on…read morethe phone with my husband that night. On the phone they discussed the big pieces of furniture in our apartment, the floor our apartment was located on and the type of housing we were moving into. That is when the manager gave my husband a quote for $90/hr for two guys and a large truck. We appreciated how timely the response was, the ease of getting a quote, and the manners the manager had while working with us. We booked them quickly because that was the best deal we had been given. Pre-moving day: They called 4-5 days before our moving date to confirm our appointment and asked if we had any questions. We appreciate this courtesy. Moving Day: Our movers showed up 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time, however, we honestly weren't too concerned. Part of the reason we booked this company was because they begin their money-clock as soon as they arrive. Being tight on money, we decided to start bringing boxes down to where the truck would be loaded two hours prior to the truck showing up. This would take leg work away from the movers so they didn't have to do the stairs 8 million more times. The two men that were with us had very quiet demeanor's. They both were polite and worked along side my husband and I and our two friends well. Half way through the moving process the movers were getting to some of our bigger, heavier furniture. One mover had asked both my husband and I individually what our quote was. A person helping to clean my apartment heard the two movers talking while the rest of us were taking a lap down the stairs that they were upset that we were under quoted. They said that this should have been a three man job. Honestly, in hindsight, I don't blame them in the slightest - it probably was a three man job. Although, they made that slight slip when they probably thought they were alone, they maintained face and worked through the move. They wrapped our stuff up nicely and made the job look easier than I know it was. Moving in to our new place went by very quickly. The men took direction well and worked through any kinks that always come with moving furniture. Damage: We did have one piece of furniture that fell apart. They were quick to point it out to us. They took pictures of the damage. Thanks to their insurance and our agreement they will be sending someone out to see if they can repair it (it might actually be repairable, I think!) or they will be replacing it. Again, we don't place any harsh fault of this on anyone - this stuff happens! We just appreciate it being taken care of! Rating: I have given this company 4/5 stars because I feel like the office needs to find a different way to quote their customers. Reading these other yelp reviews it seems like that is a reoccurring issue. My movers would have received 5/5 but I will vouch for them in this instance that they were probably jipped.

I had to get things moved quickly from my mom's house, needing movers very short notice (less than…read morea week). On top of that, my schedule changed suddenly the day before when my flight into town to do this move was delayed a day. Through all this, they were wonderful. They were the first to respond to my initial quote request on yelp, with very clear and professional yet friendly quotes and scheduling, and when I had to reschedule by a day they were very supportive (even responding after hours too). The actual move was quick and clean and careful. My best moving experience ever (and I've had a few). Definitely work with them.

I believe their names were CJ and Tanner, and the owner was Dwayne, and they were so careful, but fast, and our move was organized and completely problem free! They moved a bunch of very heavy wood furniture without a dolly, like it was nothing! No nicks in the walls or damage to any of my items, and I've had those issues with other movers in the past, but absolutely no issues with Bishop Elite Services! And their attention to detail was excellent. They packed fragile things (furniture with glass, mirrors, etc) very well using moving blankets and industrial sized plastic wrap, which I had never seen done, but it was very effective and I wasn't worried about the antique furniture from my grandparents getting damaged, I knew my heirlooms were safe with them. They also made sure all of the boxes went to the right rooms and their labels were all facing out. I've had movers completely ignore the labels and put things in wrong rooms with all the labels facing the wall, so I was extra happy the carefully labeled boxes ended up in the right rooms with labels visible. They also rearranged the furniture when we changed our minds about where things should go without blinking an eye. Plus the guys were all very nice, it was lovely to just chat with them during the whole process. They also do snow removal, hauling and other odd jobs, so you should give them a call! I know I'll be calling them for snow removal this winter! TL;DR: You should hire these guys!

August 14th, 2020…read more Mann's Moving & Hauling Champaign, IL 61821 217.255.2952 Dear Alex (and Benjamin). I am touching base with you after my move, 08.10.2020. While I had sent a thorough list of items, Benjamin phoned in the morning to confirm as he wanted to be sure whether he would need a 20ft or 26ft truck. I assured him either would be fine because I moved everything here in a 10ft and trailer. He arrived shortly after 11am with two young men. We did a walk-through. He agreed the 20ft truck would be fine for the move. And he left with the two getting to work. They did not need to break anything down or shrink wrap any items. While they were getting the boxes & totes loaded, my brother-in-law, sister, and I were loading up his SUV and my Nissan. After a couple of hours, one of the young men asked me if it was okay to "come back and make a second trip"? I was surprised since the 20ft truck was more than enough to accommodate this move, but he said he wasn't sure and "we might have to". At that point, I told him that we would finish the basement items and he should focus on the main floor. Benjamin did stop by for about 10 minutes to check on them and then left. He did not speak to me directly. They had some trouble getting to the new address because a phone had run out of battery and ran late finding the house. Once at the new place, it was unorganized chaos. Boxes just being placed anywhere. Part of a dining room table put into my son's room. One item I requested to be placed in the master wasn't and buried somewhere behind boxes. Any direction given earlier was forgotten because they just wanted to 'get it done'. They asked that I go back to the old address to pick up their dollies. When I got back to Neil St. I noticed several items were actually left behind. Unfortunately, during this move, damages did occur. A part of the cat tree was broken off (See picture attached.) My couch was torn (See attached picture.) My bed frame was pulled off and not put back on (See attached picture.). And it was fortunate that we noticed some of it before they left because it was not brought to anyone's attention. Honestly, I have moved many times and if there is anything out of place, I would be notified immediately by a mover. Not this time. And that is very disappointing. At this point, my brother-in-law had made at least five trips with his SUV and I made four. I had already explained in my July 16th email that my son and I are on medical disability. Working this hard and this much was more than I should have done. Pre-paying $473 for the first three hours as agreed was fine, but an additional $200 really pissed my brother-in-law off at the end of the day. He could see how much pain I was in and struggling. Also, he put in the same amount of work as the young men did. However, I did give a generous tip because the boys did work hard. Which brings me to this point. The young men did work hard, but they did not work smart. It is obvious they are not experienced. One seasoned person should have been on site at all times. The truck would have been properly fully loaded, without any damage to my property, and the move would have taken less time. There is no actual "discount" when a move takes longer than it should due to inexperience or direction. If this was just one small thing or two, I would let it pass. I honestly would. However, it wasn't. Not even close. I do not blame the young men. They were pleasant and polite. And the job was more than they could handle on their own. Is this a fair and appropriate outcome? Attachments: Photo of porch swing detached. Movers did not put it back up. Damage to the couch. Not fixable. Bed rail removed from bed and not replaced (cannot be put back by one person). Damage to cat tree. Not fixable. Two additional car loads necessary after movers left home. (10+ car/SUV loads in conjunction to the movers using a 20ft truck.) Addendum: No response to direct email of this letter. Sent a direct company email (w/letter) 08.21.2020 requesting they reach out. No response. There is no formal company address to mail this letter to. The company has taken an "ignore all communications" approach.

Since it's impossible to find movers that will even respond around here and I needed help asap, I approved. No email or phone call from Mann's to confirm. When I tried to follow up by phone, the mailbox was full. Still, I crossed my fingers and hoped they would show up. They never did! No follow up from them whatsoever. Fortunately I was able to recover the charges from my credit card company. Buyer beware! Do not trust this company.
