Four months in the unit and EVERYTHING I owned was destroyed by the worst rat infestation I have ever witnessed. I went to remove my items after they catching them adding miscellaneous line items to my bill by changing my autopay. When I caught them, instead of returning the funds as promised they just hiked my rent $60 additional dollars then credited what they stole toward an increase of the same amount in rent making it all LEGAL.. Well, it's not.. This is insanity and predatory. Being paid up a month I decided to move. Easy right?? When I opened my unit after only 3 months I found EVERYTHING was destroyed. Rats the size of cats were nesting in all my tubs and mattresses. Everything, even the electronics are destroyed. The rates even chewed up the solid wood dining set. I demanded ALL 5 months of rent be refunded. I even had their 'insurance', but no policy info has been exchanged after several requests. I cannot touch anything in my unit. It is a complete bio hazard, not to mention I am highly allergic to mice and rats. Even if I weren't, what I witnessed is enough to call the health department and BBB. They need to be shut down. I was told by their own management they reserved the right to change my auto-billing and take 'whatever' out of my bank without my authorization. That is criminal. Who told them this? Super low IQ people. I have made numerous requests to refund and help clear the unit. Instead, they have locked me out. As a local business owner and community advocate it's my duty to my community to cancel these type businesses. I can't imagine how many things of others have been destroyed. After reading the reviews it goes without question they are very aware. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their stuff due to these fraudsters... I will shut them down. BET read more

First let me say I retired from the Navy after 21 years in 2009. Needless to say I have used storage facilities in many locations all over the country as well as abroad. In 2015 I rented a unit from a local place Milton storage and could not be happier with the service and price as well as upkeep of the facilities of this locally owned and ran storage company. Sadly a few years ago the local owners decided to sell to Extra Space Storage. I was not happy about this as I had already been through this same scenario in Amarillo Texas with a unit i had there in the late 90's and early 2000's. Same scenario local company sold out to Extra Space. In both cases i experienced rental rate increase after increase. The only difference is that with the unit here in Milton the increases became absurd. I say this because what started as a 5 x 10 unit for around 65 dollars turned into almost $160 which is close to the rent i was paying for another unit in Pace but that was twice the size. As if this was not bad enough I decided with the notification of another rate hike beginning in September I would go ahead and move the stuff stored there to my other unit in Pace. So I went to my unit to size up what i had stored there to see if i could get it all to fit in the other unit. Keep in mind the things I had stored were items I valued and were stored with the belief that they would be safe and protected from damage. It had been a long time since I had checked on the unit and needless to say I was shocked and dismayed at what i saw when I opened the door. The unit and building was infested with mice. And by no means is infested stretching the truth. Literally every item, box, piece of furniture in the unit was covered with mice feces and urine. It is a shame that Yelp does not have the ability to upload pictures and or videos because I have both. My advice to anyone looking at units is avoid Extra Space like the plague not only due to the constant rate hikes that other companies do not do, but also for the lack of protection for your valuables. I believe it is note worthy to state that when the units were locally owned I never saw any sign of mice EVER! My unit in Pace at Storage Master also has never had any sign of mice and in 15 years I have only had two increases for a total of less then 20 dollars. Buyer Beware. I wish I could rate this company less then 1 star. read more

Just moved to the area and needed storage while house hunting. Melissa and Renee are awesome! The facility provides climate controlled storage which is essential in the Florida climate. The ladies who work at this location make it extra special. Melissa and Renee always have a smile and are eager to assist with anything! "Need an extra unit? No problem. What else can we do to help?" I had three units at extra space on vanity fair and Melissa at the front not only helped get me the best price and looked for any discounts for me, but she also went out of her way in helping with move out pricing. They even supplied carts to help us load our trucks when we forgot our dolly. read more

These women were rude when we found out that we were unable to use the size storage that we originally thought. While they were helpful at first when viewing the storage facility; when we had to cancel they would not prorate or give us any refund even though it had been less than a week since we had paid for the first month contract. Melissa was rude to my friend and myself during that conversation. And I feel like there should have been some prorate since I paid for 30 days and technically never moved anything into it and only had it four or five days. read more

They advertise a safe and secure facility to leave your belongings, however this is not true. I just paid my insurance deductible to cover RV damage from a theft. The side gate is ALWAYS open because there is a business operating here after hours, multiple business owners store work vehicles here and all their employees have the code to the front gate or side gate and park in the RV/Boat storage lot during the day/night. Ironically the cameras weren't working at the time of the theft. After multiple complaints regarding the open gate for the RV & Boats, and observing random cars driving through the space, my concerns were overlooked. I have removed my RV and do not recommend to others until they have a Security Plan! read more
