I've been dealing with this storage since 2022 and let me TELL YOU each individual that I've encountered from Ileana Who got promoted which is very deserving because she's one of the most POSITIVE PEOPLE IVE EVER MET. Clean- new manager upped the temperature in "climate controlled" to 80-- great for hot yoga. We would have stayed but they kept upping the rent to where we were paying $60 more per month than new customers. Finally moved to a local unit that is clean, cool and 1/2 of what we were paying at xtra space. Use ONLY for Short term or be prepared for the gouging that will follow. read more

By far the worse storage. they change our price from $80 to over $160. when called they said it was part of our lease agreement? We never even got notified about the change in price! IF YOU WANT TO BE BLINDSIDED BY PRICES THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE! I recommend finding another spot that will hold to their word on pricing. read more

We lost our key and the representative helped us drill through the lock and get all our stuff! Very nice lady, and they refunded the lock we bought since we were gonna move out and then helped us end our rental by the deadline so we didn't have to pay an extra month! read more

***DO NOT RECOMMEND USING EXTRA SPACE STORAGE!!!*** (2517 S IH-35 New Braunfels, TX) if you have valuable items stored with them GO CHECK on your unit because somebody broke in into ours and stole about 5k worth of items....All of my husband work equipment/tools, new baby toys, baby clothes, a guitar, my husband gaming console, and 6 bins. My husband called the police and filed a report, but the office was closed. The crazy thing is that there was no visible forcible entry or broken lock, so our only guess is that somehow they must've had a copy...My husband went the following day to address it with the front office with a police officer and long story short they did NOTHING. They claim 24/7 surveillance and when video footage was asked they claim they only keep 3 days worth of surveillance and it took the cop about 30 minutes to view all the footage. My husband brought up the fact that the only way they could've accessed our unit is by the key. the lady at the front desk had the audacity to gaslight my husband and make the assumption that one of our family memebers grabbed our extra spare and grabbed our things!? Like what are you serious!!?? My husband proceeded by filing a claim with Extra Space Storage and they pretty much told him that they can not do anything because the unit did not appear to be damaged or a forcible entry. This whole situation is frustrating and upsetting, so if you're using their storage unit go check on your items. read more

Melissa with Extra Space Storage in New Braunfels Texas is very helpful and kind. She is easy to talk with and gives detail to customer service. The storage unit was easily accessible online to set up initially and pay for monthly. Every time I entered the space it was well lit and clean. Moving trolleys were always made available as well as an elevator to attain non ground level units. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I moved my entire house/ everything I own into one of the storage units here in August, it is now October. Not even a full two months later and today I received a notice saying that next month their prices are increasing due to " current market conditions"... WHAT!? They want nearly $100 dollars more a month now??? Just because they can?? Absolutely not. I now have one single month to RE-move ALL of my personal belongings to a new storage unit that I can actually afford as a result of this. Had they been even a little transparent and divulged that price to begin with, I ZERO doubt would've pursued other options. Fishy and SLIMY. Do NOT rent from here. read more

I had my belongings at the storage unit right off of 35 in New Braunfels. The staff were super friendly and the facility was always very clean. However the complete annoyance of having to input a 8 digit code every time you enter and every time you want to go up in the elevator is extremely annoying. When I first moved in the units were brand new and didn't have the elevator code but they added it later and it quickly became a pain. If you plan on frequenting the unit you get this place may not be for you. read more

they raise the rates within two months of moving in, they lure you in and then get you. i understand when it happens after one year but after two months is uncalled for. just very poor customer service. read more

I can't say enough good things about the people who work here and also about the facility itself. The level of kindness, efficiency, skill and can-do-ness is out of this world. the facility is spotless. The communication and ease of getting everything set up is amazing. I don't know how they do it, or why it's so great but it's like going back in time to when customer service really mattered. i would give them 10 stars if I could! read more
