The farm is huge, beautifully kept, and has so much to do -- it's the perfect spot for a fall day with family or friends. From hayrides and putt-putt to the giant corn maze, pumpkins, farm animals, and playgrounds, there's truly something for everyone. They also have a charming country store filled with seasonal goodies, local products, and fall décor, plus plenty of food and drink stands to enjoy while you explore. You can really feel that it's a family-run farm -- the staff is always so friendly, welcoming, and eager to make your visit a great one. Van Buren Acres has become one of my favorite fall traditions, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a fun, festive, and wholesome autumn outing!

Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back someday. Barely half an hour from central Columbus. K did not want to leave.

It is a true community theatre and I appreciate the unique, diverse programming. My review will be based on a recent movie going experience. Pros: 1. See above. 2. Cool art deco interior. 3. Close to lots of dining options for pre or post movie meals. 4. Shows limited release movies. 5. Restrooms are very clean. Cons: 1. The theatre our movie was in was the smallest I have ever been in. Five rows of seats total. Even in the last row, it was uncomfortably close to the screen. 2. Did not seem to have surround sound and movie dialogue was sometimes hard to hear. 3. Parking situation is a little wonky. They have a small shared lot behind the theater, but there is no back door into the theatre (?) You have to walk around the block or through the grocery store parking lot to get to the front entrance.

It's not a huge place, but it's worth your time. Give yourself maybe an hour to soak the whole thing in. The space itself is really open. They have security standing around as well. Probably because someone had used a gun to shoot and ruin some of the art work a few years ago. They have a coat check as well. I think because of safety. And I totally understand that. There is also a movie theatre in here for specific showings and a little cafe that is ever so popular, Heirloom. Anyway, thankful for free art galleries! It's a fun thing to do on campus.

The fundamental problem is that this has always been a museum nobody asked for in a location that would be better used for something more useful to the OSU community in a poorly planned building named after a person who is probably not a point of pride for the school and whose contribution cannot possibly have covered even a fraction of what it's cost to keep the place up over the years. Other than that, it's great. Seriously, though - if you're visiting columbus and want to see an art museum, the downtown one is the way to go, or their short north outpost if you're into contemporary art. If you're visiting Ohio State and want to see exhibits about what they do there, there are nice ones in the library and scattered across the various department buildings. I don't know what the future holds for this place...but they better figure something out before they go the way of Mean Mr. Mustard's.
