It's a great gift shop, featuring "costume jewelry" (I hate that term, but it's not gold & diamonds), but also with beautiful silk lampshades ( I've bought many over the years for my B&B inn Boston), art glass, mirrors, hair accessories (the only "clips" I've found that hold my long hair up without tearing it), little cute boxes, figurines, etc. I've been shopping there for years and I have never walked out without a bag in hand! The buyers are exceptional and always seem to choose a wonderful variety of economic to high end goods. The art glass & shiny crystal earrings are my personal faves, but there's so much to look at! I was shown a pair of emerald and diamond studs on a white gold base. They came at a good price too. Michaels is one of the jewelry stores with employees and shop owners who know a thing or two about what they're selling. I came to another shop and asked about emerald earrings and they pointed to a pair of earrings that weren't emerald. I even knew that. I trusted that the person helping me could identify the stones in each piece and that I was getting the genuine article. I really appreciated my experience, and I believe I might come back for something else. Maybe I'll have my eye on something with Ruby? Who knows.

I went back in this morning to buy said bracelet and there were two surly young women working behind the counter. I asked them about the bracelet and the price she gave me was almost $300 MORE than the price I was quoted last night. When I asked about the price difference, the younger of the two girls scoffed and said "well he obviously hasn't been working here long and doesn't know what he's doing." They would not honor the price I was quoted last night. As soon as they realized I was not going to buy the now several hundred dollar bracelet, they completely ignored me. I asked to see another bracelet and begrudgingly Surly Jr. showed it to me. I was taken aback and said "ok I'm leaving. Thank you!" They didn't even reply, just looked at their phones. So sad to write this review about a place I've been coming to for years. Note to manager: you need some serious employee training in customer service. Btw, I gave my business to another store.

We received a nice greeting from the people working at the store. The jewelry here is very unique and pretty! However, I noticed that they didn't have any of the beautiful painted Turkish earrings in stock on this visit. If you like unique items, this is a great place to browse.
