It's a great gift shop, featuring "costume jewelry" (I hate that term, but it's not gold & diamonds), but also with beautiful silk lampshades ( I've bought many over the years for my B&B inn Boston), art glass, mirrors, hair accessories (the only "clips" I've found that hold my long hair up without tearing it), little cute boxes, figurines, etc. I've been shopping there for years and I have never walked out without a bag in hand! Michaels is one of the jewelry stores with employees and shop owners who know a thing or two about what they're selling. I came to another shop and asked about emerald earrings and they pointed to a pair of earrings that weren't emerald. I even knew that. I trusted that the person helping me could identify the stones in each piece and that I was getting the genuine article.
