Closest gas station to the airport…read more I really like the Austin airport as everything is there so close by. Unlike a larger airport with a long bus ride away to the rental car place, rental car return is right across the terminal and a gas station is two minutes away. I drove by here once as I couldn't figure out the entrance. I passed it first then used a phone GPS to guide me here. It looks like this parking lot is also used as a cell phone lot and they have a small panel showing the flight status in front of this gas station. I think having a gas station/store access while waiting makes it nice. Price of the gas is about 20-30 cents higher than those nearby. Nothing that outrageously overpriced. Gas pump was clean and easy to operate. Receipt printed at the pump for convenience. Plenty of gas pumps are available and I didn't have to wait at all. Once you exit the gas station and back to the main road for the airport, rental car return lane is all the way to your left. Make it to the left lane quickly as rental car return entrance is very close. Even if you miss the turn, circling around the terminal only takes less than 5 minutes.

They must've read my post from 12 months ago and turned up the syrup, I said I wouldn't be back for a while and I wasn't. The young girl that worked in there was still rude, a sign of the youth today. The older lady working the counter was a very personable and nice individual and said hello back with a smile. The older generation was just raised with more manners. The store was not that clean on the inside, a little messy. Getting in and out of the parking lot was simple and there were plenty of gas pumps and parking. This was way better experience now that the construction is done. I would stop here again, although I will stay away from the young kid with an attitude.

Even the workers there don't seem happy to be there. But it was convenient, so it was an okay choice. I'll most likely try the one across the street next time.
