The exterior facade is kindof unassuming but don't be fooled! Upon entry it's a quaint (though not really too small at all) cafe'-style restaurant that actually reminded me of being in Mexico. The Austin-area has so many great food places but it's nice to go to a place that's truly more for locals. The service was impeccable. Friendly and attentive without being overbearing at all. Think about visiting one your fave friends in high school who had a mom that could cook and went all out for visitors. That's what this place is! I had a frozen strawberry marg (small) rimmed with salt and it packed a punch! Two of them or a large one and I'd definitely be buzzed up. The special of the day was an enchiladas platter (cheese, beef, or chicken). I opted for cheese. They were so good and packed with gooey cheese I couldn't stop eating them. I swear I inhaled two enchiladas in one breath. No joke. The made from scratch tortillas were on point. I opted for no beans (not a huge fan). The rice was perfectly seasoned and I pretty much inhaled it as well. The food is so yummy and filling. In fact, it was my lunch on Friday and I didn't eat again until dinner on Saturday. Not even kidding, that's how full I was. Talk about getting a bang for your buck. I say run don't walk to get here because when you're done eating, you'll be crawling out.

The outside looks like a dive Mexican bar restaurant and the inside was about the same. We were seated quickly and our food also came out quickly after we ordered. There seemed to be one or two people doing most everything in the restaurant that day so we had to wait a bit after a few attempts to flag her down to get the check. I had the chicken enchiladas with green/tomatillo sauce. The chips were authentic and the salsa did taste fresh. This is a very convenient place to meet with people for a good Mexican meal when on the way to or from the airport!

My husband and I decided to go out for breakfast on a Saturday AM at around 10. We were the only ones there and when we walked up the employee told us they were out of juices which was a little disappointing since a part of their marketing/menu focused on juices. We ordered the El Classico taco and The Outlaw with 2 lattes. (With 20% tip it came to $34) He told us it would be about 10/15 minutes - no problem. Tacos were ready and 1 latte, he said the other latte would be a little longer bc the machine was having issues. To say that we were underwhelmed with how "full" the tacos were for the price would be an understatement (see photos). About 5 minutes later, he told me that the machine was broken and they need to get fixed. I asked for my money back- he said he had to wait for the manager to come to do that and it would be another 10 minutes. We left without a refund because at that point, I wasn't going to wait around longer for a $6 refund. The tacos did have wonderful flavor but the portions for the price is disappointing. I have no problem spending money for good quality food but $10 and $7 for practically a street taco is a little steep IMO. We may return to try lunch/dinner but not sure if it's worth the drive for the price.

It's a large space, great for groups, and it's nice there is a kids menu option. We started with water all around, plus Mexican cokes and a paloma. We shared seafood tostada, chips n guacamole, wings, and chicken flautas. Everything came out hot, fresh, and nicely seasoned. We have two gluten free folks in the group and there were plenty of corn based options. The tostadas come with three and were nice and fresh, I was a little hesitant when it said mayo, but there was just a bit to get the shrimp and imitation crab to stick together. Turned out the kids loved the wings - we tried the citrus pepper and Austin amber bbq flavors. The chicken inside the flautas was tender and we enjoyed the cabbage, onion, carrot slaw to bring a fresh crunch. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
