The other day, I saw diesel at another location and decided to stop at this one when I found it. Contrary to what I've found at other stations, the green handle was not the diesel, but gasoline. The diesel pump was orange, which stands out since Hess is green-themed. The attendant came to the car, and I handed him the card and he swiped, started the pump, and returned my card to me. He apparently had every pump under his control, but it wasn't too long of a wait. Besides that, he was friendly. Inside, the rest room wasn't bad, and they had 2 for specials on some items.

That was all until I realized last night that I had sucked my tank nearly dry, with the idiot light brightly warning me of my imminent doom. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of this station in previous years - it was tiny, dirty, had a really small store, and an older lady who must have smoked 5 packs a day was one of the rudest people I'd had to deal with at a gas station. Remembering that they recently went through a HUGE renovation, I limped over with what must have been a cup of diesel in my tank. Wow. The renovations done here were great! Brightly lit at night, clean, tons of pumps, a decent (and clean) store, and most importantly friendly staff. It doesn't hurt that the fuel prices were relatively low either. I feel weird reviewing a gas station, but frankly this is one of the better ones in the area. In fact, with how much I loathe the Hess on Rt 70, I'll probably just go here in the mornings if I need gas - despite it being out of the way by a mile or so.

He came out of the car cursing and attempting to intimate me but that failed on him. This guy was not in the line at all just waiting to cut in then he started saying that it's every other car that gets served! Which is wrong because it's each vehicle behind the other that is served in line not out of line! Costco needs to post a sign on both entrance signs that clearly state that ! This incident could have gotten seriously out of hand but thanks to my composure it did not ! Others may not be that lucky ! The 3 female staff continued to stand around chatting- one had her gloved hands shoved firmly in her hoodie (?) pocket. Totally unhygienic and against food handling 101. I'm certain the health inspector would have enjoyed seeing that after citing the store for the 13 flies hanging out -on the drip trays and the coffee pots tops. I know it was 13 because I was there long enough to count them. Some slob felt entitled enough to leave a large sized child's soiled diaper on the floor in the women's bathroom stall. It was 6 steps from the waste basket. Not Wawa's fault, but certainly someone, perhaps one of the deli staff who had time to stand around watching the poor smoothie staff get buried under a pile of tickets could have found time to clean something (and the sandwich prep area had enough lettuce scattered around to resemble the aftermath of a small ticker tape parade) As always- the coffee bar was soaked with spilled sticky drinks, sugar strewn about and straw wrappers everywhere. There are 2 other Wawa's within 5 mil, plus the QuikChek. I'll be frequenting them moving forward . This store gets worse every week. How unfortunate.
