I was also interested in the availability of gas as this place was shown on the news for continually running pumps (and totals due) even after the pump was shut off and consumers had completed their fueling process. The news visited at least 2 times, and both of which the specific pump was still operable. As I entered the parking lot, it was clear that ALL pumps were out of service. However, the parking lot near the store part was still quite full. As I approached the door, there was a sign that warned customers that only cash was being accepted. As I asked the "gentleman" behind the counter for the particular scratch-off that I wanted, he rolled his beastly ass up from the floor, wearing his brightly colored vest, spit his tobacco juice into an old used soda bottle, squinted his eye at me, and just stood there looking at me. I politely asked again. He then made it clear that he was offended by the fact that I thought he worked there. I gave myself a 2-second check of my surroundings, apologized for the confusion as he was the only person behind the counter, suggested he find some sort of employment that causes him to present himself in a more becoming manner, and waited for the true clerk to emerge. As I waited, I also noticed that the only other customer in the store was another man, who had clearly just left the beach and was planning for more beer and snack. As he piled his goods on the counter and returned to the shopping area for more, I made the same request to the "real" clerk who emerged from the back, on his cellular phone, seeming cursing and clearly fussing, all while not ending his phone call in any sort of a hurry. Such was a clear indication that he was not expecting too many customers...As I made my request, he quickly said: oh, I can't sell any of those. As I pulled away, I realized the vehicles in the parking lot were present for the same thing: to repair or remedy the problem with the gas pumps. Either way, I won't be returning anytime soon as it also became clear that this place probably shouldn't be open, is only taking cash to avoid precautions put in place to protect consumers, is clearly avoiding the GOVERNMENT, and probably knows nothing of taxes. The prices here are cheaper than the ones in Houston I'd say, for the most part. It's a helpful location for a Shell station and prices are very competitive.

The prices at this and most are usually at the top three when you are seeking the lowest possible gas prices. Main competitors would be Fuel Stop and Murphy's. Parking lot is usually well kept, no weary people hanging around telling you that they are from out of town, their car is down the road stuck with no gas and their 4 kids are stranded there waiting for some gas to make it to blah blah blah... Brightly lit, you will feel a little more secure here than the kind of dark Chevon down the block. The restrooms during my 4:30 a.m. stop are usually well kept......I guess till the traffic rush comes in.

I think a lot of other people appreciate it too because it seems busy, in fact the two or three times that I have been here for gas, most pumps were full. I'm sure it's just that I was here on weekday rush hour. Inside was friendly and there was no line. It's also useful as a convenience store, although it's expensive, as you would imagine. I will definitely continue to come back here when I'm in Pasadena and it's very useful. But not so funny or cool.

This is where you go when you need a convenience store, but you want to feel classy. Not like a…read moretux and a strapless gown classy, but. Well you could wear jeans-shorts and a T-Shirt here, but I didn't The place has a spacious interior, the aisles are wide and there's room around all the displays. There's NO #@#$$%! TV blaring at me(!) It has very high ceilings, which are very dark and have halogen lights, giving the convenience store food a dramatic lighting. The floor is snazzy - not terrazzo, but something sort of like it. Nice wood carpentry. Outside look has some flair, too, with brick and stone facade and stonework around the pumps. They've got a section of NASA and Texas souvenirs up front. And most of the usual convenience-store items at the usual convenience store prices. But the WINE ROOM was a surprise. They've got this one room off to the side with extra fancy carpentry and lighting, with lots of choices of mid-price wines displayed in stained-wood display triangles. And again with the halogen lighting. They sell all-beef roller hot-dogs and prepackaged sandwiches. They've got 4 deuce tables you can sit at and enjoy your roller hot-dogs and mid-price wine. You could actually get away with taking a date here. I'm not going to. But you could. If you dress classy.

I live so close to this location that everyday it feels like I stop by and grab something. Sometimes it can get crowded because of Space center Houston but other than that it's amazing.
